We stayed here with family for a few nights to relax and see the mountains in summer. The hotel has (relatively) huge rooms and is comfortable. It’s right in the middle of (the very scenic) Szczawnica with views looking out towards the ski slopes (just across from Slovakia). ||For kids there’s a huge play area inside and a small playground outside. For all the family there’s a very enjoyable indoor swimming area with a large pool, jacuzzis and a waterslide for the kids (and adventurous adults). ||They also have great food - in our case with inclusive breakfasts and “lunches” (the traditional Polish main meal from 4PM). Each day the buffet is different and even outside the inclusive meals, we often had meals, coffee and drinks at the outside bar rather than deal with crowds in town. ||All the staff were friendly and polite. ||For those driving, there’s outdoor parking too. ||None of us tried the spa facilities (all those beauty treatments) but they are available. ||Being central, you can walk up the hill to the old spa area, and a short walk down to cycle rental (you can cycle for kilometres along the rivers to Slovakia and back), or take the chair lift (year round) to the ski fields for the view in summer or skiing in winter. There’s lots of good walking around for the unadventurous (along the river) or the adventurous...although be careful about Google Maps. I ended up walking up a ski run - great for my fitness but not ideal (and thankfully on a very dry day).

We spend 5 days in the hotel recently and overall it was a very nice stay (we may even come back!). We liked the spacious room with a view overlooking the mountains, we liked the indoor swimming pool with a slide, saunas and jacuzzi (and not so many people inside). The location of the hotel was fantastic - within walking distance to the center and the ski lift. Food was fine but some of the dinner buffet was not that good e.g. meat was a bit dry and not too tasty. Great idea with XBOX and Kinnect in the lobby to keep children entertained! Reception staff was brilliant - well behaved, well informed and customer focused. But people working in the restaurant were behaving like in the old good communist times - where they are more important than their client. Also i heard from my wife and friends that people working in the hotel spa and clinic had similar not very pleasant approach. Very strange experience but if you do not mind it - the hotel is really nice.

We stayed at the Solar Spa hotel on Aug 13, 2014. It is beautiful, clean, well appointed and the most comfortable place to stay, especially if you have children. We had a very large, 4 person suite with 2 floors. Our children slept upstairs, had their own TV which they briefly watched when not enjoying the awesome Water Park. Bathrobes, slippers, tea, air conditioning and lots of space is welcoming. Very professional staff and elegant restaurant made us enjoy our short visit to Solar Spa even more. Last but not least, this hotel is steps away from so many attractions we just have to come back for more.

We only stayed for 1 night which was a shame. It's a comfortable, luxury, modern hotel in a great location near the centre of town. Our room was incredibly spacious and it also had a balcony. The indoor pool had a water slide and we had a really good time using it. The outside bar was closed which was a shame and dinner was a buffet which was ok.

I had a two day stay at this neat hotel/spa. It offers full breakfast and dinner buffet. Fantastic food. The pool and jacuzzi was awesome. The town itself, you can walk a little ways to the little downtown with shops, cafes, restaurants. There is a ski lift to the mountain side, with beautiful views as far as the three crown mountains. Take a rafting water ride down the river and see the border of Poland and across to the Slovakia side. Check out the castles at nearby towns. The hotel spa offers medical services, the spa offers massages, medical spa wraps, facials, manicures/pedicures etc.

The building is not new but it was succesfully altered into a modern, trendy and comfortable hotel and spa. As the matter of fact I liked there everything: location near the town centre and Palenica chair lift, free parking lot (parking space is limited in Szczawnica), friendly and polite personel, tasty breakfast and reliable wifi. Their offer of spa-treatments looked quite promising but I did not use any of those. I recommend Solar Spa Hotel strongly!

The best thing about the Solar Spa is the room size. Plenty of space, a good view, and doors onto a balcony, make one temporarily at peace with the world.|Staff were good, and meals were excellent.||Size makes for a little less personal experience but I still liked it here.
