We enjoyed the quietness of the neighbourhood, simplicity of the hotel and nice service of the staff. The beds were comfortable enough, looked clean. No soap, which was completely fine for us. However, I saw all cleaned mattress covers on the dirty ground in the morning.

The hotel itself is quite fine and clean, a nice hotel for that price range. We slept on a dormitory with a few other guys, fast forward my phone got stolen by 1 guy. The owner reported it straight away to the police but sadly they don't do anything... After we did every possible thing we could, we left without the phone but the owner was gonna email the guy.(which was mildly a chance) After 2 hours my friend gets a call from the owner with some pretty great news I would say! Went back to the hotel and I did get my phone which is really nice. I'd like to express my sincere appreciation to the owner for all the effort he took when the police was lacking in practicing their job! I would say that's got to be some of the finest hospitality you can get anywhere so yes, I'd recommend this hotel even if it was only for the owner's handlings.

Had tickets to a Whitechapel concert (ends at 11), and the last train out is 10:30 (why, leeuwarden? Why?). So, I found the cheapest option for a single woman traveller, and it was t'Anker. Room was clean, twice as big as I expected (2 single beds), and located on a very pleasant street. Walking back alone was no problem. Reception was helpful and efficient. I forgot to ask for the wifi password, but that was on me. Shower was next door, toilet a few doors down, everything was neat and clean. It reminded me of old dutch student rooms in the 90s and I liked the feel. Definitely recommended. Don't miss the show, stay here.

If you can avoid staying here do. Check in was not until 6pm Sunday and yet a member of our party was angrily told in Friday we all must be out by 10.30am and if not our stuff would be thrown on the street. We had not been previously told this and had an academic lesson until 1pm which we had to leave. Been treated like crimnals instead of guests. Our party paid for breakfast for everyone and yet breakfast room not open 3 out of 5 days we stayed there. I could go on but not going to waste my time. Avoid.

Does what it's supposed to do as a 2 star hotel. Provides private room, clean, bedsheets, pillow, blanket and a sink, as well as 2 towels. Toilet and showers are shared with the floor. No soaps. Nothing fancy at all. Neighbouring rooms can be noisy, depends on your luck. Easy check in and check out. Location is central but leeuwarden is small, thus if you find a better place but more distant from the centre, I would say go for it. Would recommend the hotel for 1-2 nights but I would prefer a bit more comfort over a longer period of stay.

Great hotel. Super clean rooms. Good atmosphere. There is a room with 2 beds with big front windows to the street that is just one set of stairs up! Highly recommend. Decent and reliable breakfast. Nice staff. Excellent location.

Except the location everything id bad, it is more like renting a furnished room rather then calling it as a hotel. If I booked it as a airbnb my opinion would have been different but when i book it as a hotel there are certain things that we would expect

The rooms are clean but when going there, beware of your belongings. Lost my wallet here but according to them it wasn't stolen (Something I still have trouble believing). Other advice, if you don't speak dutch do not go there: Went to the reception to book for two nights only to be kicked out of the room by the owner. The reason: The employee at the reception at the time not being able to communicate properly in english. The owner was comprehensive to some extent and even tried to help me to the best of his ability. Though, there IS no denying the personnel is quite rude. Conclusion: if you have the money sleep Somewhere else

Yelp
I was a guest at this hotel, so I do not know how much it cost for the room. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms are clean. Our room was up two flights of stairs, but that seems typical for European hotels. Separate shower and toilet, but there is a sink in the room. There was breakfast provided, which included fruit and hard boiled eggs, in addition to the typical assortment of cheese, bread and meat. There is a nice bar in the lobby, which is the perfect place for a drink after exploring the town. I would recommend staying here if you need a room in Leuwarden!
