Hotel Taburiente Tenerife Review | Hotels Above Par

"Tucked alongside Parque García Sanabria in the heart of Santa Cruz, this polished four-star property—first opened in 1966 and recently reimagined—blends timeless Mediterranean and Art Deco influences with contemporary touches. Interiors feature marble floors, gold accents, plush velvet furnishings and integrated art (from Japanese-inspired prints in reception to large surrealist works in the velvet salon), while a playful indoor-outdoor thread runs through the glass-walled lobby terrace (complete with a full-sized tree), a rooftop faux lawn and a fourth-floor wellness lounge that opens onto a private veranda. Its 165 rooms range from minimalist city-view doubles to expansive suites with standalone bathtubs, private terraces and indoor/outdoor seating; deluxe rooms offer balconies overlooking the park, city skyline or a colonial-style courtyard, and details like leather headboards and full-size monstera plants lend a cozy, refined feel. Dining centers on Cayote, where Canarian dishes are reimagined with Latin and Asian flair using over 100 ingredients prepared in-house and an emphasis on local producers; a café and lobby bar provide casual fare (homemade cookies, a full espresso bar, burgers and fries) with in-room and rooftop delivery. Amenities include a rooftop pool and jacuzzi framing the mountains and Atlantic, a panoramic lawn patio with sun loungers, a rooftop fitness center, three lounges, a wellness space with hanging rattan chairs and a 24/7 drinks station, plus practical services such as on-site parking, laundry and 24/7 room service. Ideally located steps from La Rambla and Parque García Sanabria and within easy walking distance of Calle Castillo, Plaza España and the Mercado Nuestra Señora de África, the property is about 20 minutes by bus from Las Teresitas beach and provides good access for day trips to Anaga Rural Park; pricing starts at roughly $100 per night, and the rooftop suites with panoramic terraces are a standout feature."

This is a lovely hotel, directly opposite a beautiful park and within walking distance of the town of Santa Cruz. It is well presented, especially the dining room. Our room was small but perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was good, great choices. We had 2 dinners there, one was excellent, both food and staff but the second was not so good. This may be because it was Easter Sunday and the dining room was busy and only one single waitress on duty, meaning the food was not so hot when it arrived, hence the 4 star rating, otherwise it would have been 5.

My room was so beautiful and clean and toomy although I didn't spend much time in there I was more than satisfied. I cannot fault the service, all friendly and helpful. I don't know if it was just me but the vending machines didn't accept my UK bank cards, that was the only downside. The location was ideal for cook fest, the park opposite is so beautiful. I cannot fault the hotel at all for price, location, cleanliness and the staff

A super hotel. Amazing staff. Hamza, Veronika and Romina could not have been nicer..I will be back. The pool, the jacuzzi were fantastic and the beds were very comfortable. A great location in a quiet area of Santa Cruz. A perfect spot!!! Xxx

Location, location, location......a very good 4 star hotel on a quiet street next to a lovely, large park being on the edge of Santa Cruz' pedestrianised area with lots of bars and shops. 15 mins walk to Plaza de Espana and 20 to the main bus station. The taxi rank is right outside the front door too.||No complaints with our room 413 which was fairly large with a big comfy double bed, satellite tv, free safe, fridge (for your own drinks and snacks), tidy bathroom with a walk-in shower plus a small window overlooking the roof tops.||The hotel's public areas were all clean, spacious and tidy and including a small bar selling drinks and snacks e.g. pizza. Breakfast in the restaurant was a good choice of hot & cold buffet; the table d'hotes dinner was also decent but it's better to go out and sample the many nearby tapas and fish restaurants. The bonus is the roof top swimming pool and solarium with terrific views over Santa Cruz.||Last but not least were the friendly and helpful staff who politely suffered my attempts at speaking spanish.

Nice hotel in colonial style. It is older, but it seems to be kept working. I had no issues. The room was spatious with a window to the side street, so even the noise from the street was not too loud. Everything worked in the bathroom and it was clean. The breakfast starts on Saturday and Sunday at 7:30, which is quite late. On the other hand, the breakfast was very delicious, variety of food and local fruits.

Stayed at Hotel Taburiente July 3 and 4, 2025. Great location, (love the parque) but we were underwhelmed by our room. AC unit could not keep up, so were warm and humid all night long. Floor in room had several spots that were "torn up". While I cannot blame the hotel, street noise was an issue until 1 am each night. We stayed at several other places on Tenerife, GC, and Lanzarote that were far superior for similar cost. The hotel bar was staffed by a couple folks (new?) that were unsure how to mix a Cuba Libre.

Not satisfies, Unfortunately for a 4-stars hotel 🏨 didn’t match my expectations, overall a good place but definitely not justified the cost. The position is good perfect 👌 near to everything bye walk distance from the city centre, but good luck with the parking, unless you want to pay a private one. (Which many other 4 star hotel offers at least a private spot) Room definitely not clean as I thought, had also to clean my own bathroom 🚽 sit … as it was slightly dirt of .. (let’s not write ✍️ that ) Small room, I pay for a bit of extra bigger one but didn’t aspect that small.. Facility, at least advised you have some work in progress??? I end up walking through electrical cable and dust not safe at all and very inconvenient. At least close the elevator who goes on that side….. very disappointing… Breakfast buffet.. that’s the worst part zero options for who doesn’t eat meat.. 2025 people… at least pot some fish or alternative for the usual beacons and eggs .. Quality wise some food was off… some fruit smelled off and it was rancid inside I had to leave half of my plate there .. minimal effort and selection of pastry and milk yogurt nearly zero. Tbh I had 3 star hotel with better food quality. The stuff was friendly at the front desk, a bit less on the breakfast one. So overall decent place to stay nothing special about it and zero issues but not worth the price. Won’t go back at all, but for who is in looking for a easy spot to enjoy the city and some time off is ok 🙂

The triple room is tiny, you can't pass one person past another, the bathroom faucets are old and no longer work properly, the card at the entrance door doesn't always work, the dinner isn't to everyone's taste and the bed mattresses are uncomfortable. The hotel is very well located, the lobby and the pool are compensating the negative aspects of the hotel.

Yelp
The location is great, breakfast is good however the walls are very thin and both nights I stayed here I was woken up several times during late hours in the night by the housekeeping staff rolling carts around and closing doors.
