We had a great stay at this hotel – it really felt like a step up from the usual self-catering ski apartments. For the price, it’s nice to enjoy a bit of luxury in a ski resort, especially when we’ve stayed in a few ropey air b&b’s over the years.
All the staff were incredibly polite and friendly throughout our stay – nothing ever felt like too much trouble. A big highlight was how they went out of their way to make my girlfriend’s birthday special, helping to arrange balloons and a handwritten note in the room, which was a lovely surprise.
The ski setup was super convenient: you leave your skis outside in a rack marked with your room number, and the team in the ski shop brings your shoes or ski boots to you – it’s those small touches that really make a difference after a long day on the slopes.
Another nice detail was the evening turndown service – when you’re out for dinner, someone pops in to get the room ready for the night by unmaking the bed, closing the curtains, and leaving a little chocolate on the pillow. It adds a bit of that classic hotel charm you don’t often get self catered accommodation.
The pool and jacuzzi were great too, with beautiful views across the resort – perfect for relaxing. The hotel is in a great location (as most of the village is), and it’s genuinely ski-in, ski-out, even for beginners.
And finally, the buffet breakfast was excellent – really good quality food and loads of choice to set you up for the day.
All in all, a brilliant stay – the little luxuries, thoughtful service, and friendly atmosphere really made it stand out.
