Hotel Täscherhof

Nice place to stay for a holiday trip. The location is very convenient, close to the train station with easy access to Zermatt. Parking is easy since the hotel has its own parking building. Breakfast was okay and enough to start the day. Overall, a good and comfortable option for a relaxed vacation.

You can literally see the Hotel Tascherhof from Tasch rail station. They allowed us early check-in. You need to pay 4 chf/head as city tax. Quite unique Elevator 🛗✅ Wooden room, we got Station view where we can see beautiful Zermatt shuttle train, glacier express is crossing by. There is coop nearby and authentic swiss resturant is also there. Hot water present all time. Complimentary breakfast was there, lots of option was there.

Note that the photo of the hotel on google maps is that of the newer building and not the older building. Our room was in the old building looking over the train station but it did have updated furnishings. There is mold on the wood windows. One inconvenience - no hot water kettle because it is an old building. I would have to go down to the reception area to use the water kettle. Equipment worked well ( shower, drain, toilet, heater). I didn't mind the quaint old decor ... it's actually charming.

Good location directly next to the train station. On site parking can be available for 13CHF per night. Spaces were a bit tight though so larger cars will struggle. Facilities are a bit dated and the shower was the smallest we have ever seen. We would have had a good night sleep regardless if it wasn't for the fire alarm that went off twice - once around 10 pm which was switched off quickly (although no information provided as to why) and again at around 3am which was going on for 15 mins. Just a poor experience overall for the price.

Love the Location as it is close to the terminal but not many restaurants or things to do. The room is nice and clean with great views. The hotel building is run down. Breakfast service is decent. The town isn't for people who like to stay up at night. Have to hop on the train to zermatt to find restaurants open until 12 or 1 at the least.

Hotel Täscherhof was a perfect location for our stay to visit Zermatt. We drove to zermatt and this is last town where you can park your car and take train shuttle to Zermatt. It is right next to train station. Staff was very professional and helpful. All the rooms were very clean. I loved their new building with balcony. It was very beautiful. I would 100% recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, staff, safety, services and convenience to visit around Zermatt area.

Tascherhof hotel consists of two parts - older and newer.|We were in the older part which we found quite satisfactory. Room is old, pretty dated, but still clean and with all you need for a night stay. Nice balcony overlooking the surrounding mountains.|Hotel is literally across the train station, 2 min walk. We didn't have issues with noise.|Breakfast was hearty with good and sufficient choice of everything. Staff was kind and welcoming us with our pet.|Just across the street is a great fast food restaurant with very good and extensive food choice at reasonable prices.|This was the best option we found over some 3-4 months, as hotels in Zermatt are skyrocketing.

Great location - right by the train station yet no train noise in room. We had leave before the breakfast buffet started and they made us sack meals to go - very sweet of them

Clean, budget-friendly, beautiful and rustic Swiss hotel located at the exit of the Tasch train station! So convenient if you're going to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn or coming from another city. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. We arrived early for check in but were limited on time and wanted to see the Matterhorn, so they offered to hold our bags up front for no charge and even put them in our room! We were able to spend the day in Zermatt not having to worry about our luggage--So nice!! The room had a great view of the mountains too. Great food in the restaurant as well- the price is high but you get huge portions compared to a lot of the restaurants we've been to in Switzerland. All around great place, highly recommend if you're traveling to the area for skiing or sightseeing!
