I love this hotel.
I’m on a fairly low budget solo trip — Madrid, Cordoba, Úbeda, Granada, Sevilla. This is my splash out hotel (****). The others have been **/***.
What I love: Super warm welcome. A drink upon check (plain water, lemon water or cava). Help with my bags to the room with an explanation of (no-charge!) simple minibar, Nespresso and WiFi. Complimentary bottle of still water. A welcome note. They brought in a little chocolate at night and checked if I needed anything.
My room wasn’t huge but the high ceilings and tall windows make it feel spacious. Tasteful decor. Windows that open to a teeny courtyard. Lovely, nap-friendly blackout curtains. The bathroom is super cute (w/granny style floral tiles). L’Occitane toiletries. Yum! It’s very quiet (room 107). I have ridiculously sensitive hearing, so this makes a huge difference for me. Great sheets.
Convenient to bus station (2 stops on a bus/20 min walk). Train station was a short cab ride and there is a taxi rank just near the hotel or they’ll call one for you. Right on a main shopping/dining drag. Walkable to the sites, esp the cathedral, Christmas (nativity) market, Christmas lights. Tons of good tabernas, restaurants, bodegas, cafes… nearby.
My one regret is I didn’t get breakfast, 25 EUR wasn’t in my budget. I imagine it was also thoughtful, nice and well done.
Top pick of all the many likes: Consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming staff. Hats off to the HR folks and managers.
I’m so glad I stayed here! You should, too.
