Hotel Tearoom New Regina

Stayed at Hotel Regina on our last night before heading to Calais. The hotel was adequat for our needs. There is no dedicated parking and the receptionist advised us where to park. The end result was our car being impounded with a 200 Euro charge to recover it. Extra stress needing to get to LeShuttle by 10:20. Twenty other cars also impounded. The receptionist the following day was brilliant tracked down where our car was and drove me to collect it. I would not advise staying in Ypres overnight. One day does Ypres but stay outside the town.

The hotel is in an excellent position - in fact, that’s what you are paying for. That and the fact that the room was largely very clean.||The room is basic and no frills. Don’t expect luxury because you won’t get it. The towels were frayed and had holes in, so worn that I wouldn’t even use them for my dog.

Very comfortable room, excellent buffet breakfast and staff team were extremely helpful and friendly. No car parking for hotel but using 'Seety' parking app free parking found nearby and also available in the Market Place from 1800 to 0900. Great base for touring and within walking distance of all that Ypres offers including the Menin Gate.

A great find! This hotel is a great place to stop for a few days in Ypres. The rooms are small but clean, the bathroom was as good as any 4 star hotel and the location cannot be topped.

While I didn’t stay here, I had the best bloody beef ever here. It had a delicious sauce and was top tier. Bloody beaut

We were doing the Australian Battlefield Tour and part of the tour package, Hotel New Regina was the chosen accommodation for us – very well-located, right on market square. After leaving our previous accommodation in Lille, this was outstanding! Staff was super friendly, when he greeted our tour guide, me and my family, in fact he had a great sense of humour. Check in was smooth and fast. They do have an elevator, but it can only fit two with medium sized luggage, but better than walking up the stairs, which is situated right beside the elevator. Our bedroom window had jaw dropping views of In Flanders Fields Museum. The rooms were really nice and spotless. Has all your comforts, tele, aircon, WiFi, coffee / tea and kettle provided. The bathroom was of standard size, enough space to put your toiletry bag on the basin but I’m happy to share with you that the shower is a standalone – I’m not a fan of shower and bathtub combo PLUS the toilet had a room of its own. The bed and pillows were firm and comfortable – we had a decent sleep and that’s all that really mattered. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious for continental. And only a short walking distance to The Menin Gate, where you will find two fire brigade personnel, play the Last Post ceremony at 8pm every night. Highly recommend this accommodation and a bonus that the hotel is located in prime location.

Very good location right in the centre, tasty breakfast, nothing missing, room small but comfortable, everything needed is available. For the weekend a good solution, price adequate to the standard.

Just returned from a few days in ypres and stayed here.we had the perfect room at the front looking over the market square. Lovely breakfast and staff friendly. Only a small thing car parking was about half a mile walk but free.will be back.
