Hotel Testa (Sopot, Baltic Coast) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"A handful of design-forward boutique hotels have popped up in Sopot, a historic seaside resort known for its Art Nouveau and Art Deco architecture. Among them is Hotel Testa, just across the street from the beach, with a minimalist facade that stands out in crisp contrast from its surroundings. The rooms are sleek and light-filled with floor-to-ceiling windows, a moody charcoal gray and deep blue color palette, natural wood detailing, and white marble bathrooms with walk-in showers. Suites have living rooms, kitchenettes, and spare bedrooms with built-in bunk beds. Breakfast is served in the airy ground-level restaurant, with tables spilling onto an outdoor deck when the sun shines. There’s also a small but smart-looking spa, outdoor lounge space on the manicured lawn, and easy access to the seafront promenade and bicycle path that lead into the center of town." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed at Hotel Testa for 5 nights recently. Reception staff were all very friendly and helpful as were all of the staff members we encountered. The hotel is fairly new and has a lovely feel to it. It is designed in a’ minimalist’ style, but because it is small it is also very intimate. We had breakfast included and this was a buffet with the option of cooked food as well. You could order additional cooked items and these were always fresh and hot. Omelettes, bacon with fried eggs etc. Our room was on the top floor (3rd) and it was very light and airy with a sofa as well. The balcony looks out into the garden and there are large trees which are at the balcony level. Lovely outlook and the trees were magnificent. Very peaceful. The hotel is close to the beach. Just a few minutes walk (less than 100ms)and the hotel is very secure as it is in a private road which has a gated access to the beach. Bikes and deckchairs etc are available to borrow/hire. We didn’t use the spa as we were with family who were staying at other locations in Sopot so were out and about most of the day. Beach is very nice, but gets busy at weekends and during the summer. As you go out onto the beach you are on a beachfront promenade which stretches all the way along the seafront with an adjacent cycle path. Loads of local restaurants and amenities. You can even cycle into the centre of Gdansk which is only 13km away (45mins). All in all a lovely spring break. We were there with family who were arranging a wedding in Sopot for the same time next year. We will definitely stay at Hotel Testa for the wedding if it is available. 5 star venue.

The only comment to improve would be to inform guests during the check in to immediately make a reservation for the hot tub and saunas. We were unable to get time after 6pm to relax there as the hotel o my allows people from one room to visit at the time.

Fantastic location, horrible service at the front desk (note; in particular one person). Breakfast was excellent, the servers were accommodating. Service at the lobby was ghastly! Arrogant boy, rude and disrespectful. Lack of integrity, professionalism and respect. We’ve stayed at the Sheraton for many years and this time we wanted to try something new. Will not and cannot recommend. We work in the same industry and have never been treated this badly. Foul. For us this was not a 5-star stay. Spa is basic. “Gym” also basic. Very sad that one person manages to ruin the reputation for everyone else.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, excellent service from the staff, great location ony two minutes to the beach and ten minutes to the city. A quiet neighborhood with a lovely garden, the rooms were well isolated so you could not hear your neighbor. A very good breakfast with both cold and warm dishes. The only thing we missed was a pillow menu since the pillows in the beds were too soft. A part from that it was perfect!

Our first time here in Sopot and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. Great facility, attentive staff, and an awesome breakfast included. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived until our departure. A good value. Steps away from the beach. Complimentary bike rental was a plus. Special mention to Matthew who provided the most excellent breakfast and service. It’s not often that you find such a genuine person on a hotel staff. Their restaurant Stona Woda has a lovely menu and the food is second to none. As for the hotel, the only improvement I can think of is to upgrade the pillow provided. We will be back for sure.

My family and I loved our stay at Hotel Testa. We stayed for 10 days in the summer and it felt like home! Staff is very friendly and professional and the restaurant has excellent food. We love how close it is to the beach and we love how the hotel has bikes to use! We will definitely be staying here again!

We stayed at this new, beautiful hotel and had a wonderful stay! It has modern, clean and really nice rooms, good SPA facilities and is located near the beach. The hotel offers bikes to lend, free of change, this was a perfect way for us to get around and explore Sopot. The bicycle paths along the sea is one of the best things about Sopot. We highly recommend the hotel, and would really like to come back!

It goes downhill. We have booked Testa Villa this time and our stay was terrible. The room has no aircon and was extremely hot during warm days. The staff was not very helpful- we had to ask for a fan several times, even opening windows was impossible as they were locked and they had no key (when finally found the key- they managed to open only one window, have no idea why), Breakfasts were good, but long cue to coffee maker was unacceptable (I had to clean coffee maker and top up water two times as there was no staff to help). will never book Villa Testa again. Highly OVERPRICED. Too many guests with little kids creating lots of noise, constantly slamming entry doors (sorry for that, but we were expecting a little bit more quiet hotel)
