Hotel The Frame

The Frame Hotel is not centrally located to all main sites in Florence, but it is walkable from the SM Novella Train Station (8 minutes). To be fair, it is still walkable to many of the popular sites. The Frame Hotel is accessed through a card key. Upon check-in, the front desk needs to buzz you into the hotel. The hotel is located near popular restaurants and cafes. The nearest taxi stand was about 5 minutes away. The hotel provides a robe and slippers in the room, a glass bottle of free water (natural or carbonated - this is self-refillable at the common area), elevator, a mini bar, a safe, refrigerator, wardrobe, large TV, phone, desk, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The room temperature is controlled at the front desk and cannot be changed in the room despite the thermometer on the wall. The TV is big, but it was impossible to cast videos from a personal device. The room was located in the back of the building on the top floor so it was very quiet. I could hear some noise from other rooms, but these were not loud. The bed was comfortable, but the large bed was two smaller ones squeezed together. The water pressure in the shower was great. The mirror had a smaller makeup mirror. There was lots of space near the bathroom sink for items. The Internet speed within the hotel was sufficient. The staff was helpful and took any questions or requests seriously. They addressed concerns right away. The laundry service was a bit pricey, but most of Florence is very expensive. The bed was firm and comfortable. The cost of the room per night was pricey, but considering the level of cleanliness, safety, and amenities within the room, it was worth it. It is not the type of hotel that I typically stay at as far as aesthetics, but this location is special; this hotel is where the Mona Lisa was hidden when it was stolen from the Louvre in Paris.

I recently stayed at this hotel during my visit to Florence, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the city. From its vibrant streets to its incredible food culture, Florence has so much to offer — and thanks to the wonderful hotel staff - Daniel, I got to experience the very best of it. A special shout-out goes to Daniel, who went above and beyond in recommending amazing local restaurants. His suggestions weren’t just typical tourist picks; they were thoughtful, spot-on, and clearly based on genuine knowledge and passion for the city’s dining scene. Every place he recommended had its own charm and truly elevated my trip. It’s rare to come across staff who make you feel so welcomed and cared for, and I’m genuinely grateful. Thanks to him, my stay here was memorable for all the right reasons.

My wife and I enjoyed every minute at this wonderful Boutique Hotel. The rooms were all updated and remodeled. Our bed was comfortable, and our room had great amenities. A sumptuous buffet breakfast was included each morning in a beautifully decorated sky-lit dining area on the second floor. The staff spoke English and took pride in making our stay enjoyable. The front desk assisted us in planning a tour with a local company of the Chianti Region. The hotel is a short drive from the Florence Airport for our connecting flights. We planned our entire Italy trip for an anniversary celebration. The hotel is conveniently located within 5-6 minutes walk from Florence SMN train station and major tourist attractions like Santa Maria del Fiore and Academia Gallery. The property is well decorated in modern style and the room is very clean. Yet, the elevators are rather small. For travllers with a load of luagages, it may not be able to carry all of them in one ride. A plus is that the hotel provides unlimited refill of water.

Hotels in Europe are known to have small rooms. We booked the Gianconda Suite, where the Mona Lisa was recovered in 1913, because the room appeared larger. I neglected to notice the extra footage is actually a loft, 5 narrow steps above the main room. It’s the sleeping space for the 3rd person.||The room is exceptionally tight space, after you consider the king size bed. The bathroom is the width of a bathtub and possibly a little bigger in length. It’s really tight. The elevator cannot be much larger than a phone booth.||That said, the room was cleaned. The staff was friendly. The location was ideal. And btw, they offer buffet breakfast only and it’s an add on option.

The location is really nearby the train station. Also in the center of everything like, shopping, eating, sightseeing and if you just want to walk around and enjoy the view. Hotel rooms are cute with different Mona Lisa’s art hanging all over the place. Since this was the stolen Mona Lisa was found. Breakfast was pretty good and we enjoyed it. I highly recommend this hotel with kind staff and easy access of everything you want to do!

We arrived earlier than anticipated but they immediately checked us in, arranged our luggage in the room and offered us advice on what to do / see. We loved the bathtub. Fantastic location and very cool vibes.

This boutique hotel is perfect for touring around Florence. Sited on Via Panzani. 10 minutes walk from the central tram stop. The T2 tram is a 20 minutes ride from Peretola airport.||The hotel is a five minutes walk from Piazza del Duomo and short walks to most places within Florence.|The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful.|The hotel is well appointed in design; offers a good breakfast choice from from 7am to 11am; between 5pm and 6pm offers snacks and cold drinks to residents.||The rooms are not particularly large but well designed and include robes and slippers for residents.||Would definitely stay there again
