I cannot believe this property advertises itself as a three-star hotel. The experience was horrendous and completely unacceptable. First of all, the photos online are incredibly misleading. We were placed in a basement-level room that bore no resemblance to the images. The reality was a dingy, grim, and dark room full of visible cracks, mold on the walls, moldy bathroom tiles, and ceiling. That was not enough - to top it off, there were cobwebs at every corner, and we found spiders and an earwig. All the textiles—including carpets, curtains, and towels—were stained, old, and looked completely unhygienic. It's unbelievable how far away from the pictures everything looked. The bed wasn’t even made properly; it looked like someone had already sat on it. The towels were far from fresh, and the bathroom door didn’t close properly. To top it off, there were blood stains above the sink—a disgusting oversight in cleanliness. It feels like this property is exploiting customers and travelers by charging a premium price for abysmal conditions. We paid €190 for this room, and the standards were far worse than a budget hostel. When we asked the receptionist if the room was cleaned, he simply said: yes, of course. We showed him the pictures, and all he had to say was that we were welcome to leave a review. From their demeanor, it’s clear that he was unphased and had this experience countless times before without caring. This is by far one of the worst stays I’ve ever experienced. I strongly urge others to avoid this hotel unless it undergoes major renovations and dramatically improves its hygiene and service standards.

Our stay at yhis hotel was disappointing and frustrating. The room we got was at a different address and looked nothing like the photos on Booking.com. It was dirty, smelled bad, had broken outlets, and lacked basic amenities. When we contacted Booking.com, they refused to help and said we had to deal with the property directly. After an hour of arguing with the hotel staff, they only offered two poor options: stay in the dirty room or move to an equally bad one in the basement. We finally got a somewhat better room, but it was still far below the advertised standard. This experience was a complete letdown. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, and Booking.com should ensure properties like this are properly represented.

The room I received was in a completely different state from what was shown in the photos on Booking.com and Google. It was located at a different address (203 instead of 205) and was in an unacceptable and uninhabitable condition. The room was dirty, with broken electrical outlets, and an unpleasant smell throughout. The bathroom lighting didn’t work properly, forcing us to rely on a small lamp. The bed was torn apart, and the overall cleanliness was severely lacking. The place had no basic amenities like slippers or toiletries, which you’d expect even at budget accommodations. It was clear that the room hadn’t been cleaned or maintained for quite some time. When I reached out to Booking.com for help, they informed me that they couldn’t intervene because the reservation was made through a partner. I was advised to discuss the issues directly with the property owner, which was a major inconvenience since I booked through Booking.com expecting their support. Upon contacting the property, they initially offered only two options: stay in the current room or move to an alternative room in the basement, which was in equally poor condition. After almost an hour of frustrating discussions, 😵‍💫😵where we were simply trying to get what we paid for, I suggested a compromise. I asked if we could move to a room for two people in building 205, and have an extra mattress added for the third guest. They reluctantly agreed. The room we were finally given was still not up to the standard shown in the photos but was at least cleaner and more functional than the first. However, it didn’t erase the initial negative experience of poor service, misleading listings, and lack of support from both the property and Booking. ⚠️I want to emphasize that the photos and descriptions provided on Booking are completely misleading.⚠️ The lack of accountability and support from both Booking and the property made this a highly stressful experience. ⚠️I hope Booking reevaluates their partnerships and quality control to prevent other guests from going through the same ordeal. ⛔️⛔️If you’re considering staying here, be cautious and double-check reviews and conditions before booking. Overall our experience here was nice, but some things didn't work well. Our beds were made just for a few days and then never again (we stayed 10 nights), the same with toilet paper and coffee in the room which were never refilled. The hair dryer wasn't working too. We were at the first floor and there were workers next our door, so there was noise in the morning. However the location of the hotel is very good to explore the city, next to a tram station and a supermarket. Also being out basically all day that was fine for a 10 days stay in the city.

The carpets were old, stained, and in a poor state. The room was outdated and no air-conditioning. Bed was okay. Wet room stank of sewage. Isn't a great location for sightseeing. Wouldn't recommend.

This hotel is very cozy in a quiet neighborhood. It is very close to Vondel park and in the area with the must-see museums. The room has exactly what you may want for a few days. Ours had a view to the garden. Also, while we were there, we extended our stay and the staff in the reception was very helpful in general. The price for the area, I believe, is normal. I recommend it but I have to mention some small but important things. We had thrown down our towels twice, because we wanted to replace them, but they didn't do it. In general, the towels didn't look that clean. Also, there isn't an elevator, so I don't believe that is proper for an old couple, because it will be tiring.

Never experienced such bad accommodation! We do not have high standards in housing, since we are used to campsites and low budget accommodations but this was really sad to see, we were so excited and looking forward but had such a bad experience. Overall there’s really nothing well to say, except the location of the hotel! The photos look really pretty but the rooms were not acceptable at all! A lot of hair on the floor and shower, a floated bath sink, a dirty kitchen sink and so on, throughout the whole stay!! There was dirt all over, the door card didn’t work when we returned at nights and when we called the receptionist to tell him our room card isn’t working he reacted super annoyed as if it was our fault, He then brought the card back to us and didn’t even respond with a single word. He literally just turned away, even though we were talking to him. Sorry to say this, but don’t waste your money on this hotel! :(

Really enjoyed the stay! It was on the cheaper side as it wasn’t the closest to Amsterdam Centraal. It was only a 17 minutes walk to Van Gogh museum and 19 minutes to Rijksmuseum. While I got two rooms, one for me and my husband and one for my parents, it definitely wasn’t wheelchair friendly. The stairs were steep to go on the higher floors so just keep in mind if you are on the older side or need extra help. Nonetheless, the rooms were spacious and comfy for two nights. We did not get breakfast as it was 17.5 euros per pax. Would definitely come back here again!
