Hotel Theophano

We waited at their cafe so long, and no one appeared. They didn’t even clean up the dishes left from their previous customers. Then we asked for help personally, even though they said they will check, no one came to our table after that either ! While there were 3 staff waiting free inside. 20 min waiting for nothing, not recommended.

Really comfortable hotel, located directly in the Old Town of Quedlinburg. The location was really amazing, as were the breakfast and the personell. The only problematic part was the parking situation. Due to its great location, parking nearby can be challenging. The hotel has its own parking lot, but it can become crowded. Apart from that, we missed ammenities such as water boiler with tea/coffee in the room, and also the pillows weren't comfortable - they were rather way too soft.

We booked this hotel a year in advance as we know during Christmas market time is very busy and we requested a room with view of market on the 2nd floor. Where we had stayed once before and had fantastic views from every window in our room. When we finally arrived after searching for their parking ( very difficult to find) we checked in & were told our room was not on the 2nd floor as requested but on the 3rd floor. There is no elevator and you must lug your bags up yourself a very large number of steps which was very uncomfortable for me as I had a hip replacement and also have issues with my knee. This climb was extremely difficult. Once in our room we discovered the market view was nothing like the view from our requested room and you literally had to open the window and stick your head out to take a picture praying you wouldn’t drop you phone or camera. You would think making a reservation so far in advance with a specific Room request could be honored. We returned to the front desk to find out why we were not given the room we wanted. We were told that room was not available as it had plumbing problems. However when we left the hotel and looked at the building that rooms lights were always on like someone was staying in it. The hotel has a front door entrance but guests must use the side door exiting into a side street vs. directly into market. Although a nice place this time was disappointing. If returning to Quedlinburg again likely will look for other accommodations.

Nice historic yet modern hotel on the town square in Quedlinburg. We had a small room and the bathroom was tiny. Many stairs so not recommended for mobility impaired. Great parking but a small walk to the hotel. Fabulous German style breakfast buffet. The bed was comfortable but very squeaky ;-)

2 nights there with our dog. This place is really beautiful. The staff is really friendly. Breakfast is buffet and it was really good. I will say good quality and multiple options. Totally recommended

We spent two very pleasant nights at this hotel in a fairy tale town, and could easily have stayed there longer. Directly on the market square, the hotel's main entrance is at the side. Our satnav led us to correctly to the hotel carpark down the small street Weingarten. From the car park it is an 80m walk over cobbled surface. If you do drive to the entrance i.e. following "Auffahrt zum Hotel" and up to the bollards that stop you driving onto the market square, you will have to reverse back 40m. The rooms have a pleasantly old-fashioned look. We had a large room which overlooked the market square. It was not particularly noisy, the double glazing cut out most of the noise. Our four-poster bed was comfortable and bathroom was great. Breakfast was luxurious and staff very helpful. The restaurant loved lovely food at a reasonable price (typically around €16 for a main dish). The wifi was rather iffy. Definitely recommended.

The location was perfect for us, but for people with car can be a bit tricky to find a parking lot. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help us with anything they can. But the single room was very small and filled with unnecessary fernithure also bed length was so small. Apart from that, the room was hot and humid. But to be honest the temperature was 36 degree when we were there. Yet our room was super clean as if we were the first one ever use that room
