Hotel Tibet

My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Tibet at the beginning and end of our tour. It’s a beautiful hotel, has stylish decor and is immaculately clean. As for the staff I’m not sure that I have enough positive words to describe them.! They are friendly and so kind, nothing is too much bother and they always greet you with a smile. Sonam works in the roof top restaurant. She is very attentive and has a fantastic sense of humour. We also got some fantastic insights into life in Nepal from her.

My wife and I (from Canada) spent three nights at the beginning and two nights at the end of our amazing trip to Nepal. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Kathmandu and there is a good selection of restaurants in the vicinity. We felt very safe exploring the area on our own. The interior and exterior of the hotel are beautifully decorated and kept spotless. The rooms are very clean, quiet, air-conditioned with very comfortable beds. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food in both their main dining room and roof top terrace was excellent. We enjoyed both their buffet dinner and a la carte dinner. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of both hot and cold items. Overall we would definitely recommend the hotel.

My friends and I stayed at the hotel for several days before and after our trek to Makalu. The hotel surpassed all our expectations. It is beautifully designed, very clean and the rooms are very comfortable. The food was very tasty and always fresh. The staff we interacted with were very helpful, friendly, and professional. ||Highly recommended the hotel!

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Tibet in Kathmandu. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with a lovely traditional atmosphere. The staff were friendly and always helpful. The rooftop restaurant offered great food and beautiful views of the city. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing experience — I would definitely stay here again.

This boutique hotel exemplifies the best of the small hotel atmosphere. They treat you well when you arrive. Honor almost any request. Direct you to where you want go. ||While there the food was good (I ❤️ Momos). The staff is very friendly. | |The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. The water was always warm. If you are a teller you know how important that can be after a long journey. ||The staff became friends and were such great people.

Wonderful hotel with lots of Tibetan character. Recently renovated it’s a lovely place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Thamel. Staff are excellent, restaurant and cafe serve great food, and rooms are clean, modern and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend and also return again.

Hotel Tibet in Lazimpat, Kathmandu is a true treasure. From the moment I entered the luxurious , spacious lobby tastefully decorated in Tibetan style, until the day I checked out 4 days later, I couldn't be more pleased with my stay. The accomodations were beautiful, comfortable, immaculately clean and attractive. The rooftop restaurant/ bar was always busy, attesting to the popularity of the place! Food was excellent ---- from Nepalese specialties, to Tibetan and Continental dishes---- everything was delicious!! Breakfast buffet downstairs in the mornings was also very nice. The staff was so kind and polite, eager to help in any way. The Tibetan owners have been at this central location for 28 years, and the hard work and care they have put into this hotel is truly evident.Excellent value for money ! I would definitely recommend that you stay here on your next visit to Kathmandu!!

Beautiful hotel with a Tibetan vibe. I stayed there for about 2 weeks off and on, and it became my home away from home. The staff are so kind and welcoming, the service was attentive and the food delicious. The rooms were clean and the hotel felt very safe. There is a lovely terrace on the roof where I could dine or sip a lovely mint lemonade. When I return to Nepal I will always stay there.
