Unfortunately this resort is not what it listed. It was listed as wheelchair friendly but it is anything but. There are steep stairs everywhere. You can’t even get to the restaurant without a number of steep stairs. To get to the pool it is 119 steep steps then you have to get back to the top. To get to the spa it is more again. Other than the stairs I found the room clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and attentive. It was just the stairs that were a huge issue so please don’t stay there if you are any way impaired.

We have stayed at the Tjampuhan every year since 2012 with groups of up to 15.|The staff are friendly and will do what they can to make your stay perfect.|From breakfast boxes if you have an early start climbing a volcano to organising events at short notice. Check in and check out is easy. The rooms are comfortable and the scenery from each room is stunning. |The pool and spa are are great and it’s a short walk into the centre of ubud. |The breakfast is excellent also.

We had an excellent stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful gardens and pools. We loved the 'grotto'; a very unique spa experience. Breakfast was great too with lots of choices. |Lots of stairs at the property so this could be a problem for less mobile people.

Absolutely, beautiful hotel near the heart of Ubud. Stayed here on more than one occasion many years apart, and blows me away every time. The jungle setting is absolute bliss to wake up to, the staff are wonderful, and the rooms are cozy. It’s walking distance to the market, some temples and even a convenience store for snacks and drinks to bring back. I recommend stopping by the coffee shop right across the street. Truly, a beyond beautiful setting and the breakfast is really fabulous as well.

Hotel grounds were beautiful and spa area nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. At first we were in a renovated room which was nice but the smell of mould was so strong we had to ask to be moved after the 2nd night. We were moved to an older room (in very much need of an update, old bathroom, no water pressure in the shower, had to use it by hand to actually get wet, but atleast it didn’t smell too bad. Lot of stairs to get to this room. Lovely pool area near the spa and spa treatments we had were great and loved the flower bath etc Food very nice and breakfast good. Overall good but wouldn’t pay that much again for an old room

We loved our stay here 🌺 I could sit on my balcony and enjoy my jungle view all day if I wanted to! We had one of the rooms that hasn't been renovated yet but it was still lovely and very comfortable with everything we needed. The bathroom could use a bit of love, but we did see the renovated rooms and they are all top notch. Our room was near the Spring Pool which was beautiful and we had it to ourselves most of the time! Location is okay, not right in the centre of town but just a short walk or taxi/scooter. Staff are all so friendly and accommodating - I think we had a concierge drive us to town on his break because there were no taxis! Lots of work around the property but still the staff are very attentive when they see guests. Lovely historical hotel, we didn't use the spa but it looks absolutely stunning. There's a short walk through the jungle if you like, and lots of eateries nearby. Didn't spot any monkeys near the hotel!

What an absolutely beautiful place to stay for a week, the tranquil location, the helpful and delightful staff, the food and our room had such a wonderful view. The pool area was perfect from our room and the spa facilities were very welcomed and creatively tucked away in a cave WOW!! We were very sad to leave such a wonderful hotel with such an interesting history of the place and the people we saw here every day!! Thank you making our stay such a relaxing and positive one. See you again next time we visit Ubud 💕
