We loved our stay here 🌺 I could sit on my balcony and enjoy my jungle view all day if I wanted to! We had one of the rooms that hasn't been renovated yet but it was still lovely and very comfortable with everything we needed. The bathroom could use a bit of love, but we did see the renovated rooms and they are all top notch. Our room was near the Spring Pool which was beautiful and we had it to ourselves most of the time! Location is okay, not right in the centre of town but just a short walk or taxi/scooter. Staff are all so friendly and accommodating - I think we had a concierge drive us to town on his break because there were no taxis! Lots of work around the property but still the staff are very attentive when they see guests. Lovely historical hotel, we didn't use the spa but it looks absolutely stunning. There's a short walk through the jungle if you like, and lots of eateries nearby. Didn't spot any monkeys near the hotel!

I had the most AMAZING massage experience of my life! I booked the Tjampuhan Healing Massage and my amazing masseuse was Suraeni! She was very gentle and firm all at the same time and always checked in to see how it was feeling. After the massage I got to experience the flower bath, and it was just to die for! Beautiful, warm and just the best experience ever!||My mom had the Swedish massage that was done right next to me and her experience was just as amazing as mine! Her masseuse was Roman Sari and she was amazing and also checked in to see how the massage was feeling. We felt very relaxed after this beautiful experience! I highly recommend this spa to anyone staying at this beautiful resort HOTEL TJAMPUHAN & SPA!

My partner and I had the most amazing 10 day stay at Hotel Tjampuhan. Whilst we were there we eloped in Ubud so this was our honeymoon, and we couldn't be happier with where we chose to stay. The customer service is 10/10 – all of the staff are incredibly welcoming and lovely, we were treated so well from start to finish. Both of the pool area's are stunning. The scenery is breathtaking with views of the valley which fill with clouds in the morning – so stunning. The buffet breakfast was delicious each morning. The room was cleaned to perfection every time we left. One little touch I really enjoyed is how they would put gorgeous fresh red hibiscus flowers out each morning, scattered all around the resort. Such a beautiful place. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Bali 😊🌺

What an amazing hotel! Full of history, beautiful architecture, and stunning views! It honestly feels like an oasis right in the middle of Ubud. The rooms are gorgeous, with balconies looking out over the forest. The only downside would be that you can still hear a bit of the outside traffick, if your room was closer to the street, but that's part of Ubud! But I absolutely loved my stay and would 100% come back if I ever return to Bali. The breakfast was super tasty, and the staff were all really friendly, respectful, and just lovely people - made me feel very welcome! I also booked the romantic dinner at the hotel and wow — it felt like a scene from a movie. Such a special and unforgettable experience! Wonderful ambience but also delicious food!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel that beautifully preserves the local culture and traditional Balinese architecture. The location is excellent—within walking distance of Ubud Palace, the art market, and the Campuhan Ridge Walk. It’s also surrounded by bars/ restaurants, and cafes. The staff provided great service throughout, and the food was delicious. The view from the hotel is truly breathtaking, and the pool area is calm and serene—perfect for relaxing. One thing to note: there are quite a lot of stairs, so it may not be ideal for those with mobility issues. Overall, a memorable and authentic Ubud experience!

We love this place as it is old style and not modern. The rooms reflect that but that is the beauty of this place. If you like traditional this is the place to be. Just out of town and an easy walk in or little cost to get a car in. Beautiful setting with the sound of the river at night just devine.|Breakfast isn’t as flash as some places but there is still a good selection to choose from.

I stayed at the Champuan several times in the ‘90s. This time my 8night stay was simply awful. I’d agree with others location, history and cleanliness are positives, but the hotel has major problems to address. First off, a senior male staffer at reception became fixated on me from day one, being overly familiar, tracking my movements and cornered me in dark passage ways to chat me up. Very upset, I put the security lock on my door at night and complained to no fewer than 3 assistant managers. (I was told they’d have to refer my complaint to the senior manager, who was in hospital!!). Although they listened, I was never assured this man would ever be given a talking to. In fact, I was asked to please not write a poor review or their standing would plunge. Among other negatives, a strong sewage smell emanated from my bathroom drain each afternoon for several hours, broken/missing tiles in the (inadequately small) swimming pool, one dinner tasted like dry leftovers from the previous day. And the old bathroom in my first room resembled an interrogation dungeon, unrenovated for decades. Other staff did their best to be friendly and helpful, but there’s a great need for senior leadership and appropriate training.
