The hotel enjoys a very good location, which made it convenient to explore the city. The room was generally comfortable, though the air conditioning was quite weak, making the room feel stuffy and warm at times. Unfortunately, my overall experience was overshadowed by a disappointing incident. While I was on a tour at Schönbrunn Palace, I received a call from the hotel informing me that one of the three rooms I had booked was due to check out. I explained that all three rooms were reserved for the same duration, but the staff member insisted her system showed otherwise and claimed there were no other options as the hotel was fully booked. This forced me to cancel my tour and return to the hotel to resolve the issue. Upon arrival, I spoke with the same staff member who continued to insist she was correct, without showing any empathy or willingness to investigate further. Only after I showed her my confirmation from Booking.com did she escalate the issue to her manager. The manager then acknowledged that there was a system error in capturing the booking details and apologized, allowing us to continue our stay without further issues. While I appreciate the manager’s professionalism and resolution, I was disappointed by the initial staff member’s attitude. She never apologized for the inconvenience or acknowledged the mistake, choosing instead to blame the system. This lack of accountability and customer care significantly affected my impression of the hotel.
