Hotel Toro

We loved Hotel Toro and if we are back in Ravello will most likely stay here again! The highlight of our stay was Alfonso, the evening into morning receptionist. Though we had broken Italian and he had broken English we had many great conversations and we felt very welcomed by him. He was extremely hospitable and made us feel like family. Rosario, the day receptionist was also very kind and offer good recommendations for dinner! The rooms were clean and the view from the balcony was amazing. The bed was two twins together and on the firmer side if that bothers you. The hotel had many cute touches of character from the tile to the furniture. We expected very little from breakfast given our experience of Italian breakfast being sweets and a coffee. But there was a great spread of meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, fruit, pastries, and juices. Everything was very good! One bummer was the outdoor terrace was not open during our visit (September, I would assume due to being outside of peak season). But we were able to order a cappuccino inside and take it out. The location was phenomenal and loved being just off the square so we could hear the town slowly quite down in the evening.

Great stay!! The hotel is charming and right in the (small) center of Ravello. Some stairs but manageable. The staff is lovely and helpful and the breakfast was amazing, great attention paid to every detail and actual capuccinos served not just self service or filter like in any other place. Room was very spacious which made our stay with multiple suitcases a lot more comfortable! Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here with my fiancee while on vacation. Such a great place! A tad bare bones, but in a good way. Front desk staff, ESPECIALLY Alphonso were the best. They also have lots of kittens and cats running around which we loved.

We spent one night in Ravello - we had actually booked another hotel who then asked us to cancel as they had overbooked … we were so pleased to have found Toro as an alternative & it would seem much better than our first choice. It’s a lovely small hotel just off the Duomo Square with friendly welcoming staff. Very comfortable room with well equipped en suite. I loved being able to just read outside on the covered raised lawn area & we had breakfast outside on the rear patio - such a range to choose from & very relaxed. Ravello is beautiful & Toro a perfect place to enjoy it from.

I wanted to write and express my thanks as a travel advisor. Besides the hotel being a lovely place to stay...Two of my clients, ended up at the hospital at night for an urgent matter. When they were released, it was 4:30AM. The hospital could not secure a taxi for them. I called the hotel to see if they could help. I wish I knew the name of the man that answered the phone. We had quite a language barrier, but we were able to figure it out and he sent a taxi to pick up my clients and bring them back to the hotel, safe and sound. To find this customer service when clients are across the world is a rare find!

Toro Hotel is in a fantastic location in Ravello, run by a small friendly team who couldn’t do enough to help make our visit perfect. The breakfast is a good range in a bright and cheerful area including outside. We popped in and out as we explored Ravello.

Absolutely adorable hotel in the heart of Ravello. Extremely kind and helpful hosts, good breakfast, and although a bit dated our room was comfortable, and had all of the amenities we needed including A/C. Very cute terrace area to sit at too- Highly recommend to all!

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Toro and this hotel is wonderful!!! The staff - Gulia and Alfonso were terrific. They made our stay excellent.||Hotel is located in a perfect area in town (close to main Piazza and shopping) and is situated on a quaint street. ||The room was clean and big and the staff were all pleasant and friendly. They provided us tips on where to go in the town||Breakfast was plentiful and the espresso and cappucino's were awesome - so good that I asked for a bag of coffee beans to purchase. ||I would not hesitate to stay here and highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Just a small 3 star hotel that is easy on the pocket book. The staff is super nice. The free morning breakfast is just to get you started don't expect any Fancy rooms just a good cheap hotel. As long as you keep your expectations in check it is a decent room that does the job of giving you a place to pay your head. It is also right in the middle of town.
