We booked our hotels quite late so our options were limited. We stumbled across this room on airbnb (which we later realised after booking that it was part of this hotel). Honestly we had settled our expectations before arriving because of the many negative reviews about this place. After seeing all the other photos of the rooms/bathrooms i’d say that we were quite lucky in getting a decently clean room, also quite spacious as well. Our bathroom was also acceptable and did not look as outdated as some of the photos posted here. At least to us it felt quite clean. Staff were helpful when we could not figure out the sink clogging system (our own problem but he came to our room and taught us how to use it haha) and let us borrow an adaptor with a deposit. There are stains here and there, on the shower curtains, tiny one on the pillow case, but again we expected it so we were able to overlook it. We found that the main problem, instead of the room, was actually the doors (very hard to lock and unlock, can only be locked with your one key that they provide both inside and outside), and the hallways - it seemed like they did not really try to make it more ??presentable (the walk to our room on the first floor required us to walk past a space which had many tables and chairs, at times it kind of just looked like a storage area). The best part of this hotel is the location as it’s literally in the middle of everything. It’s about a 8-10 min walk from Interlaken west station. I think this hotel was ok for us as we were really only there to sleep and it was convenient to get to places. Also we were quite lucky in getting a decent room. But otherwise there are probably many better options for the same price in that area if you book early enough

Great location. No A/C that we could find so we slept with windows open. Wasn’t bad but there is a saying “everyone has a naked neighbor.” Well I was that a couple of times because it got warm while we were there. Sorry neighbors… We only slept there because outside was a far better place to be in Interlaken.

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the station. The surroundings are very quiet. It requires a slight climb but it is not strenuous. The location is good. However, there is no counter service here. You need to go to other hotels to check in and out, and you need to provide cash as a deposit for the key, or use your passport. To be honest the place was cleaned and the rooms were comfortable, however the same could not be said for the common areas, we checked into a ground floor room and found that our key would not lock the toilet door, but other guests in other rooms did not have this problem, after calling the hotel they said there was no other solution. Other than that, everything else is good.

We expected a bad experience when we looked at the Google review but was pleasantly surprised by the actual room presented to us. We had a quadruple room and saw a near-new bathroom, in contrast of the photos we saw on Google review. Apart from the bathroom, the room itself is a bit of a disappointment, the one of the bed frames were faulty and one of us had to sleep with her hips lowered to the floor. And the other facilities were outdated, but they were at least clean. Our overall experience was pleasant, but similar to most things in Switzerland, the price was a little steep, but probably one of the cheaper hotels in the area.

If there were an option to give zero stars—or even a negative rating—I wouldn’t hesitate. The only reason this dump is getting a single star is because it had Muslim showers (bidets). Everything else about this place was a nightmare. Despite repeatedly asking for housekeeping—twice, to be exact—nobody ever bothered to show up. The bedsheets looked like they hadn’t been washed in weeks, the pillows felt like sacks of rocks, and the blanket was literally falling apart from the inside. The towels smelled awful, like they’d been left damp in a corner for days. Hygiene? Nonexistent. The staff? Completely negligent. As soon as they take your money, you’re on your own. I begged for fresh sheets and clean towels — not once, but multiple times — and every request was ignored like I was invisible. The staff acted like they were doing me a favor just by being there. Rude, apathetic, and clearly not trained to deal with paying customers. The location is the only halfway decent thing about this place — and even that’s not enough to make up for the hellish experience. I’m genuinely baffled by the positive reviews on Booking.com. I trusted them, and that was a big mistake. I should’ve checked Google reviews first — you should too. This was my first trip to Switzerland, and thanks to this disaster of a hotel, it’s one I’ll remember for all the wrong reasons. I don’t care if a better hotel costs triple the price — pay it. Whatever you do, do not stay here. This place is filthy and mismanaged.

I checked out so now I can say whatever I want. If I could give less than one star, I would. The only reason this place is even getting one star from me is because it has Muslim showers (bidets) — beyond that, it was a complete disappointment. Despite requesting housekeeping thrice, it was never done. The bedsheets were visibly dirty, the pillows were uncomfortable, and the blankets were in terrible condition — torn and worn out from the inside. The towels smelled unpleasant, and there was no sense of hygiene or responsibility from the staff. The service is appalling. Once they take your money, they simply stop caring. I repeatedly asked for clean sheets and fresh towels — nothing happened. The staff were unhelpful, indifferent, and seemed to have no interest in making the guest experience remotely comfortable. The only decent aspect was the location, but that’s where the positives end. I’m honestly shocked this place has positive reviews on Booking.com. My mistake was relying on those and not checking Google reviews — which I urge you to do before booking. This was my first time in Switzerland, and sadly, this hotel put a stain on the experience. I would strongly advise you to spend more — even if another hotel is $500 more, it’s worth it. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s poorly maintained, badly managed, and not worth your money or time.

We booked through Airbnb and the room was completely different than listed. The bathroom was dirty and there was mold in the shower. The employees were very nice, just wished it had been a little cleaner. The location was great!

Easy connection by bus to Interlaken OST and can walk to Interlaken West. The bed is comfortable. The washing basin is outside toilet. Some may find it convenient but not my type. The Chinese restaurant at the ground floor of the hotel is quite good.

Yelp
The name of this hotel "Toscana" and the published figures of this hotel conjure up sentiments of Swiss-Italian hospitality, and maybe even mediterranen feels. But this is very much an illusion. Instead we were greeted by a Chinese intern with only average English skills at check-in and no Swiss or German language skills. The check-in stand is full of adventurous looking activities one can do in and around Interlaken - in Chinese with a young, and smiling Chinese lady. The rest of the staff appear to be imported Chinese labor from China without any language skills other than Chinese. These people maintain the hotel and operate the Chinese restaurant that you can eat at for a 10% discount if you bring your room key as proof. The rooms are very spartan: painted in white without any artwork. A tiny LED TV from what feels like 10 years ago hangs on a wall. The rooms do appear clean. But there is black mold that is partially painted over on the ceiling in the bathroom - a no-no in my book. On the flip-side the location is great. And the room service diligently keep the rooms clean. I would avoid eating in the area if you are looking for authentic Swiss atmosphere. The immediate area feels more like Chinatown in New Dheli with lots of Asian and Indian tourist trap restaurants. But if you are looking for that sort of food to feel home this is a good place. My theory and interpretation is that this was a struggling hotel business during the pandemic. During this time, it was bought up by an Asian business owner from Asia to extract out maximal value with minimal costs resulting in a place that feels down managed and past its prime - kind of like slum-lords sometimes do. Imported Chinese labor is used to minimize expenditures and helps with who this Hotel is marketed to: Chinese people from China who often are easier to please than this ABA. If I was from there, I would also be delighted by the choices of "home-cuisine" I was able to find around my hotel. But I am not, and so this has been a pretty disappointing experience. If you are looking simply looking for a central space to crash and not ambiance, this place will do. 3 stars.

Yelp
We booked this hotel 2 months ago prior to our travel. We were given Rm 101. As we enter, we noted that there is water dripping from the ceiling right by the entrance. We were told that the 2nd flood was left with water unattended that causing the water leak. We were transferred to 2nd floor where the problem was coming from. They told us that they will just clean the room and let it dry. When we went back, the room was flooding water from the bathroom, We called the manager and he started drying the bathroom and the floor and stated that he doesn't know where the water is coming from and they already the room. We told him that we just got there and didn't stay in the room yet. He didn't even say sorry neither offer anything to compensate for the inconvenience but he told us to cancel the reservation on the spot and will give the full refund. There is no available hotel in the area but I am not giving him business and pay almost &1000 for a crappy hotel and very poor customer service. we have to cut our trip in interlaken because of this and have to go back to zurich.

Yelp
Everything. They need to gut the building and start from scratch. Carpet is old moldy and stained.

Yelp
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Black mold in the shower. The promotional pictures on the websites and booking sites are fraudulent. There are no yellow umbrellas, Swiss flags, or flowers on the balcony- in the hotel's attempt to deceive that you are in an Italian oasis. Instead there are Chinese and Arabic flags, cigarette butts were outside our window on the balcony, and an Indian restaurants below. The street looked like we were in Gaza, NOT Switzerland. One star, only as zero.was not an option

Yelp
We checked in July 19th and the the room we had in the 1st floor are dripping water from upstairs and flooded the whole room . I asked the manager to change our and room they place us in the room 201 which is the room where the flooding coming from. We told the manager Calden that our room is flooded and after long day outside and it's our first time to get in and we are so disappointed with the room and the manager attitude . He told us to leave if we don't want the room. We demand to get transfer to any other room but he said , he doesn't have anything and if we want to leave , we can go . It takes a while for us to get our money back but we don't have any place to stay . He doesn't have any empathy and the manager is rude . The room is filthy and lots of mold . They don't have any air conditioning at all . Please don't book your stay here . It is disgustingly gross. I felt like I'm in the 3rd world country. I have a video if you need it .

Yelp
Room was crap. I wish I knew before paying. There was no refund so we were stuck. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here.
