Location: The hotel is at the southeastern end of the bustling area of the west bank of the river. I would say that the lively part of Kyoto on the west bank is roughly a rectangle that starts about 200 meters north of the hotel, measuring 2 kilometers north and about 500 meters west.
Hotel: The hotel itself is small and without special facilities. A lobby where you can sit around round tables, where breakfast is also served, minimal continental, but for me sufficient. In the lobby there is a coffee machine, tea and juices that can be used at all hours of the day.
Staff: The hotel staff is very friendly
Rooms: The room we took is called a superior double. The size is sufficient, although another 2 square meters would have been very helpful. There is no storage space in the room, things are hung on hooks. There is a sofa, a chair and a small round table in the room. The shower is spacious and luxurious. The bed is queen size and the mattress is very good. Overall, a very good room.
