The rooms around the green backyard are probably the best as they are very quiet. Very clean, good shower, no breakfast, but plenty of possibilities in the surroundings, nice view from the roof top towards Chimborazo||Very sympathetic hotel family, we had some stomach problems and our host brought us camomile tea||We would return anytime

This location is so great. What a fantastic value for our room. We stayed here on two separate occasions during our 3 week trip and on both occasions the owners were very gracious. Try and get a room on the courtyard; no breakfast was included but that’s okay- we found our way to the Paris Café near the hotel!!

First of all, this hotel is not a luxurious hotel. You will find small bathrooms, showers only, and old rooms. However, you will also find cheap rates, comfortable beds, amazing service from a lovely family, the ability to walk to all of Riobamba's top attractions. Rooms are clean and I was surprised that for the rate I was paying that there was housekeeping service every night. A good tip for travelers planning on staying here is to bring your own soap and shampoo. This hotel will only provide two tiny bars of soap with which you are expected to wash hands and shower with. Definitely bring everything you need, I don't think they will have any spare toothbrushes or razors. Also, I have never experienced such a polar shower, every night the water was either so hot that you could make tea with or so cold it was like ice water. I saw that there was a tiny "cafeteria" near the reception desk, but I have never seen food service there. Overall, the hotel is a great place to get a good night sleep after exploring all that Riobamba has to offer.

This quaint, rustic hotel is very affordable at $15 per night. I believe the room that I stayed in was communal and had 1 queen bed and 2 full beds + 2 full bathrooms. However, no one else was staying in that room so I had the entire place to myself. I found the owners and staff to be very friendly and helpful. The location is also a block away from one of Riobamba’s main streets - this made the area feel very safe. Overall, this hotel had a great combination of unique vibe, low price, and good location.

Folks from the U.S./Canada, this is not a U.S type chain hotel. Know that going in. The room I had was pretty small and old. The bed was more of a "full size" than a queen. And you could get some street noise through the window overlooking the main street. But ... the lady who runs it was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was hot water for the shower and sink. The wifi worked great (I could stream a game on my laptop and get some work done). The location can't be beat, right near the train station and some lovely parks. There is a street full of restaurants just around the corner. Less than two bucks cab to the bus station. And there is an Aki grocery store a few blocks up near the Guayaquil park. I booked through Booking.com and got a confirmation, the hotel had no record of it, but had a room for me anyway ($20 a night, it was less than Booking.com was quoting me). They take cash only, no credit cards. There is no free breakfast, but cheap breakfast place around the corner. They have a cat, but he's pretty skittish and doesn't want you to pet him :-) Nice place. I'd stay here again. If you are picky about soap and stuff, bring your own, you get a little packet of shampoo (I'm bald, lol) and a tiny bar of soap.

On the plus side this hotel is in a central location, clean and comfortable, we had rooms on the ground floor with a courtyard sitting out area which was quiet and pleasant. You can get onto the roof terrace with a view of the mountains, but there is no where to sit.||However, it has a dark, old fashioned feel. The upstairs rooms are under renovation so that might improve when work is completed. There is no food or drink of any kind provided, but plenty of shops and cafés nearby. ||It is ok if you want somewhere cheap near the station, but there may be better options nearby.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Provided our group a good breakfast and dinner. Some rooms are larger than others. My room was small with no closet. Bring your own soap since theirs is small. Close to many attractions.

The owners were very helpful. Good tips for the volcanoes + they waited with us at 5 in the morning for our taxi. Clean rooms and cute rooftop.
