Hotel Três Caravelas

This is the third time my husband and I stay there and once again we loved it! The hotel is small without all that fancy sruff you may find at Beira Mar proper, but the value is great! Comfortable rooms, hot shower, excellent breakfast (3 types of cakes, several hot options including local tapioca and hot sandwiches, juice, fruit, coffee, tea, different kinds of bread... lots of delicious options!), and the service is AMAZING! Vera, the manager, is the sweetest! She and her staff will go above and beyond to acommodate you, make sure you're comfortable and always with a smile on their faces. I travel a lot and I can safely say it is one of the best services I've ever had at a hotel! Finally, the location is great. You're just a block away from Beira Mar without having to pay the high price of the more expensive hotels. I recommend it 150%. We won't stay anywhere else but there when we come to Fortaleza again!

Not bad for a budget style hotel, close to the beach & far enough away from the dodgy looking areas at night time. Breakfast was included as was ok as well. Rooms were small (ours was anyway) & we had a noisy air conditioning unit right outside our room. Overall it was fine & we'd stay again for 1, maybe 2 nights max.

A small hotel quite close to the beach in Fortaleza. Extremely nice and helpful staff that helped us a lot with everything. The room was a bit small for four people, but quite functional. Very good breakfast, easy access to the beach.

Very nice. Clean, well managed. Walk to Monsignor Tabosa and Beira Mar. Breakfast was great - fruit, bread, fresh eggs, tapioca, coffee. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is the sketchy neighborhood. Will stay here again.

Nice place! Good rooms and service. A well located hotel, near the best restaurants, stores, bars and nightlife at Itarema beach. The main disadvantage is the absence of lifts to access the upper floors.

We stayed in Fortaleza for two nights in mid-February 2013 and generally had a bad impression of the city. The Hotel Pousada Tres Caravelas was relatively cheap and central for the beaches and old town although neither are much to speak of. The room and hotel are non-descript but clean and a good size with everything you would need – comfy bed, A/C, good water pressure. The breakfasts were pretty good with an interesting selection of bread but not a lot else. Not much in the way of natural light or a view.

This Pousada is excellent value. Its basic but very welll maintained, super clean.The staff were fantastic and were extremely helpful. I have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels that could learn a lot from this gem.

The hotel is on the average.||Well located and the service is ok, but you can listen everything is going on at the hall.||Maybe higher floors are better, but I can't really tell for sure.||No elevator available.
