Great central location. Staff attitude is terrific; their English-speaking ability is generally good. Basic breakfast. Our room was very small, but we didn't expect spaciousness for what we were paying.

Got a room here for me only for one night. I’d describe it as spartan, on the small side, with a bed, night stand and small table. The bathroom was 2/3 size of the actual bed area. Think of this as almost an older college dorm room.||Everything was clean and functional, the bed comfortable enough, plenty of hot water.||Since my only goal was a clean room with a good bed and hot water, this hit the mark. It’s also very convenient to the Buquebus.||Pay by credit card and you’ll not pay ARG taxes as a foreigner. When all was said & done I think it cost $33 for one night.||There is a breakfast included but I did not take part.

We stayed at this hotel for a night before getting the boat to Uruguay. The hotel is very close the the Burquebus boat terminal and we walked there in 10 minutes, it's also right in the centre of BA. That's about it in terms of the plus points. We arrived and the man on reception had no record of our booking. My husband and I were given a quadruple room that was spare. The window was broken in the room so permanently open (which was v noisy at night). The bed sheets were stained. In the bathroom there was a small pile of used soap to wash our hands with. Very basic and shabby/ dirty room). At breakfast we were greeted with a large dead cockroach, by our table. I think the hotel is probably always busy because it's fairly cheap and in a good location. We certainly would not stay there again.

My wife and I (65 & 67 years old), were staying 2 nights at the “Hotel Tres Sargentos” on Jan 5 - Jan 7, 2019.||The breakfast at the hotel is very modest. ||We don’t like the condition of elevator. It is OK that it is old-by hand-managing-doors system but it is very dangerous that cabin never reached the same level with the floor of destination, some times for 20- 30 centimeters.||The most attractive futures of this hotel are:||modest cleanliness, customer-friendly staff, walking distance to food, shopping and restaurants.||What was really important to us is the fact that this hotel is located in walking distance to Retiro terminals and beautiful Puerto Madero’s embankment with its marina and many pretty cafes, boutiques, etc.

Hotel Tres Sargentos is in Retiro, is very basic and ideal for anyone who is on a budget. If you are looking for luxury, this is definitely not for you, but we found it comfortable, the shower was excellent, the bed very comfortable and it felt safe. Reception is staffed all night and the staff were perfectly friendly. we did not have breakfast as we had a very early start. We were only there for one night and booked it for its convenience for Retiro bus station, but I would have been happy to stay longer.

If you love old stately hotels as I do you will like Tres Sargentos. Very close to Buquebus and a wonderful panaderia and just a few streets from Florida. We liked: the stately cage elevator (just like in the movies), striking staircase, solid wood and velvet decor, HIGH ceilings, old-fashioned (but extremely slow service) breakfast. Rooms were adequate, although no fridge, which now-a-days is almost a requirement. The bathroom could have been cleaner. It featured a bidet, toilet, shower and tub, and adequate sink. Water was very hot.

Old hotel with old infrastructure. Don't expect much regarding facilities and the breakfast. But it's location is perfect. Very close to Calle Florida, Avenida Córdoba, Puerto Madero, Buquebus. And the price is great.

Clean with friendly and helpful staff.. An excellent central location for exploring all the must-see attractions of Buenos Aires. I stayed here regularly while working in "sleepy town" Montevideo from 1995-2001.
