The hotel was gorgeous, a little dated but still great! Our family room was spacious and perfect for what we needed, however, it had an odd smell when we arrived, kind of like dirty nappies. The food however was so bad. We had half board, the breakfast was standard, not bad but not great. The food in the evening was awful, out of the 10 nights we stayed, 7 of them we had to eat elsewhere. Easily the worst all inclusive food we’ve ever had. The lunch from the pool bar was good, however you had to pay for it. If you’re staying here don’t do half board, it’s not worth it.

Third visit. Upgraded the buffet counters in restaurant whilst we were there. Perhaps some refurb to rooms might follow. I agree with noise on this visit, we had to hammer on the wall to get the man next door’s attn, his phone conversation was sooo loud. Wardrobes|need attention or replacing. The doors no longer slide properly and require force so as not to obstruct drawers. |Does seem odd that they put a little note on tea tray advising payment required for replenishment. Didn’t notice that previous visits. |We like the terrace area beside the pool. Agree loungers are not very comfy. Some need a good hose down to clean. The poolside bar is great, nice drinks and lunch menu. |Good location. We used bus to Fuengirola, Benelmadena (not for the faint hearted) and La Cala Mijas. A Green Card from Tabac shop on left as u leave hotel costs €1.50. This reduces the cost of the €1.62 ticket to €0.62. Yes, a saving of €1 on every journey. Well worth it. We had a superior room on level 1 which had a terrace open to the wide grass area allowing us to following the sun one evening. Nice.

This is our second visit to Mijas and to this hotel. People come back year after year. Perfect location and hotel. Staff are fantastic and can’t do enough for you. The hotel is traditional and full of old Spanish charm, I disagree with some comments that it is a bit tired, it’s perfect as it is. Will certainly be staying again.

If you want glitzy, blingy, place full of drunks look at me people dancing to loud music around the pool don't come here. This hotel is a lovely proper Spanish hotel with decor to match, its quiet, loads of room to catch the rays in peace.rooms are clean and adequate, food is good ,staff great and very happy to help.five minute walk into town passing couple of bars and resteraunts on way,Chinese and Indian (outstanding).we arrived when festival on so the atmosphere was family orientated with rides and marching bands with a prossession ,you can just stoll along in your own time checking out shops tavernas etc without hassle ,back to hotel its had a few bumps and scrapes over the years but it adds to the feel of a proper hotel ,so come enjoy a lovely place that hasn't been spoilt,we've already booked for next year.yee haha.

Lovely traditional hotel in beautiful Spanish village with spectacular views. Rooms are a little tired, have everything you need, could do with a refresh, but I'd still go back. Staff are lovely.

My second stay at this lovely hotel. Very Spanish in style, great staff, lovely food. Nothing is too much trouble. Well positioned, all that Mijas has to offer is within easy walking distance.

Positives: Fantastic location – just a short walk to town, close to bus stops, and offering great views. Clean and spacious room – well-maintained and comfortable. Negatives: Unexpected charges – €3/day to use the room safe and extra fees for additional tea and coffee felt unnecessary. Breakfast – while adequate, it lacked variety and flavor. Staff interaction – although polite, the staff didn’t seem genuinely engaged. For example, check-out felt transactional with no inquiry about our stay.

Lovely hotel in a lovely location. The architecture of the building is really pretty and gives it a true Spanish feel. The rooms are also inkeeping with a traditional Spanish feel and they are kept spotlessly clean as is the rest of the hotel. We had breakfast included and there was a big selection which included options for vegetarians and even various milks too. There was a car park but you are charged for this. The hotel is walking distance from the town and it has it's own pool area too. The pool area was never short of sundowners and never felt overly busy but we did stay in August so there were quite a few guests staying there.

Yelp
Rather nice hotel, not the US 4 star quality but clean rooms, friendly staff, pool, tennis court, good breakfast buffet with lots to choose from, not too touristy and yet just a short drive to the beaches. Mijas was OK for us cause we just stayed for two days; if you're into beach/pool/cocktails but don't want to stay in one of the beach towns this is your kinda place.

Yelp
A beautiful setting Mijas itself is a lovely little village set in a picturesque mountainside overlooking the sea. The hotel itself is what you would expect for the money. Basic touristy rooms, which are very clean. The staff were helpful but not overly fussy which was nice and they did go out of the way to make sure we were settled in OK. Free WiFi in the lobby was a bonus. The pool area is very nice with a poolside bar and great views. Plenty of sunbeds to go around so no need to worry about the Germans! The Hotel also boasts a little tent by the pool where you can have a massage and other treatments if that is your thing, not mine to be honest! Not too expensive to stay there but the beer and snacks were quite pricey probably due to it's location. All in all I would recommend this Hotel if you want to visit the quaint mountain village of Mijas, which itself is fabulous!
