Great location and hotel. Pool area was lovely. Rooms very clean and housekeeping everyday. Room's could be updated but spacious and comfortable. Mostly the staff were friendly but had an encounter at breakfast when a staff member hissed at me to get my attention which was rude and disrespectful. Food at pool bar was very nice and tasty. Bus stop was very handy at the top of the road to go to fuengorlia. The hotel provided a room to shower etc after we had checked out which was a great bonus. Will definitely return next year as it was a relaxing stay at the Trh Mijas.

Another great stay at this hotel.|Good food, great staff and reasonable for drinks at this hotel..||The only negatives are having to pay for refills of tea, coffee and milk on the hospitality tray in your room.|I’ve never encountered this before in a hotel , and found it a bit mean..||Some of the sunbeds could do with going the journey as well.||The hotel is a five minute walk into main square , look out for bar on the right when heading into centre, where road forks , on top street, with an excellent happy hour from 4-7 pm with outside seating |I didn’t get it’s name, but great||Bus stop right outside with buses to Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Fuengirola. Less than €2 on way each..||Beautiful sunsets and view of fuengirola ||Overall, an enjoyable stay|Would return

The hotel was gorgeous, a little dated but still great! Our family room was spacious and perfect for what we needed, however, it had an odd smell when we arrived, kind of like dirty nappies. The food however was so bad. We had half board, the breakfast was standard, not bad but not great. The food in the evening was awful, out of the 10 nights we stayed, 7 of them we had to eat elsewhere. Easily the worst all inclusive food we’ve ever had. The lunch from the pool bar was good, however you had to pay for it. If you’re staying here don’t do half board, it’s not worth it.

Positives: Fantastic location – just a short walk to town, close to bus stops, and offering great views. Clean and spacious room – well-maintained and comfortable. Negatives: Unexpected charges – €3/day to use the room safe and extra fees for additional tea and coffee felt unnecessary. Breakfast – while adequate, it lacked variety and flavor. Staff interaction – although polite, the staff didn’t seem genuinely engaged. For example, check-out felt transactional with no inquiry about our stay.

Just back from a very relaxing, chilled out week at Hotel Mijas. I stayed bed and breakfast in a superior twin room with a sea view. Because the hotel is built on a hill with reception being the 'top' floor, most of the rooms are then lower than reception and further down the hill. Which means that although I had a sea view I was lower down the hill and closer to the tennis courts and an external car park. I mention only to highlight the difference with other hotels as usually the rooms with sea view will be higher up. The room was spacious and clean and I slept well with the bed being very comfortable and it was generally quiet and peaceful. The balcony was large and I enjoyed sitting out every day. As other reviewers have mentioned the hotel is showing signs of wear and tear and in need of renovation in some areas. The staff are wonderful, very hard working and efficient and generally all very friendly and welcoming. I had one issue with my bathroom whilst staying and reported it to reception at 9am and by the time I went back to my room at 1pm it was fixed. I think the hotel was full for the latter part of my stay and there was still plenty of space at breakfast, the pool and sunbathing areas were fully occupied but it seemed like everyone who wanted a sun lounger got one. So it was great not to have 'sun bed wars' or to have to get to the pool early to ensure you had a lounger. People are arriving and checking out daily so loungers always became available at random points during the day too. The pool bar restaurant area was very busy at points but I always got a table when I wanted one. I loved the size of the pool and swam a few times a day. I think this hotel is best suited to couples or solo travelers who are looking for a very quiet, chilled out, relaxed holiday. There were a few families with children there during my stay but it's not a place I would recommend for families as there is limited space around the pool and the pool itself is not large enough for children to be splashing about and playing games in without disturbing the adults who are trying to swim or just cool off. I had breakfast every day - it was buffet style and a good overall version of a hotel breakfast buffet. I ate at the pool bar for lunch quite a few days and the food was good with very generous portions. I did not have dinner at the hotel but did hear a few other guests saying that it was good. Overall I loved my stay there and would probably have given 5 star review if not for the renovation work needed. I would book to stay here again.

Updated review regards our air conditioning problem [Hall room was 29 now 28]. After complaining to management [jose] about air con they could not have been more helpful and apologetic, We have been moved to room 28 and the air con works 100% so much we woke up cold. Thank you so much Jose and reception for the service your a credit to TRH mijas.||Hotel is beautiful, food contrary to a few negative reviews is really good, views are spectacular, also lovely and clean.

This hotel was definitely a 'meh' hotel. The rooms, bathrooms, and hallways were tired, dingy, and badly in need of a refresh. The walls are very thin: my wife could hear one next-door neighbor snoring, and we could hear our other neighbors making their morning breakfast plans. The staff are not overtly rude, but not nearly as approachable and helpful as staff we encountered in all of the other cities where we stayed during our two-week trip in Spain. Luckily, we were only there for a few nights. If we return to Mijas Pueblo, we will definitely choose a different hotel.

Great hotel 5 mins walk into town. Yes rooms & bathrooms could do with an update but they are clean, lovely views and staff friendly. Great pool and loads of sunbeds available anytime of day.

Yelp
Rather nice hotel, not the US 4 star quality but clean rooms, friendly staff, pool, tennis court, good breakfast buffet with lots to choose from, not too touristy and yet just a short drive to the beaches. Mijas was OK for us cause we just stayed for two days; if you're into beach/pool/cocktails but don't want to stay in one of the beach towns this is your kinda place.

Yelp
A beautiful setting Mijas itself is a lovely little village set in a picturesque mountainside overlooking the sea. The hotel itself is what you would expect for the money. Basic touristy rooms, which are very clean. The staff were helpful but not overly fussy which was nice and they did go out of the way to make sure we were settled in OK. Free WiFi in the lobby was a bonus. The pool area is very nice with a poolside bar and great views. Plenty of sunbeds to go around so no need to worry about the Germans! The Hotel also boasts a little tent by the pool where you can have a massage and other treatments if that is your thing, not mine to be honest! Not too expensive to stay there but the beer and snacks were quite pricey probably due to it's location. All in all I would recommend this Hotel if you want to visit the quaint mountain village of Mijas, which itself is fabulous!
