Beautiful hotel set into the hillside overlooking the coast and the sea. I would describe it as "old school charm". Tastefully decorated, lovely bar area and salon. The terrace next to the bar is wonderful. Whilst it was too cold to use the pool ( we were there in early February) there were plenty of loungers and one didn't feel cramped. The pool looked lovely. There are lots of terraced where you can sit and read and have a wonderful, view and listen to the many birds. The location is excellent,a short walk to the many bars restaurants and shops. Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The room, whilst a little tired, was perfectly comfortable and very clean. We only ate there once ( club sandwich) which was excellent value. I would certainly come back here again.

A real last minute pre-Christmas getaway for a week via a bargain Black Friday deal, so we didn’t really know what to expect. What a pleasant parador-style hotel with lovely period furnishings to match. The entire hotel felt quite restrained (save for a loud and aggressive - Scottish not Spanish- ‘gent’ in the bar on a couple of nights), compared to some of the Spanish hotels we have sampled. And what an utterly fabulous view - the other half said it was like coming into land on a plane as the vista was so brilliant all over the Costa and Fuengirola. We found the food (stayed half board) absolutely fine - always good to see a vegetarian table - and there was easily enough variety to keep us going for the week. The room was a reasonable size, bathroom a little dated but clean and served its purpose. Walls a little thin but it wasn’t a problem. I always love to see a bidet! Staff were pleasant, especially in the restaurant. The outdoor swimming pool was icy cold - even in wetsuits - but we were prepared for this, having checked with the hotel beforehand. Overall this package holiday was tremendous value and Mijas was a little gem. Plenty of day trippers there, as expected, but quieter at night. Beautiful part of the Costa del Sol. Hopefully we’ll return at some point.

Room was adequate and was cleaned everyday. Had some issues with the sound of water gushing through the pipes. First few nights it lasted between 1-1 half hours but fifth night it started at 2.30 until 6.50 am. I mentioned to reception and after that we had two quiet nights. It's Room 26 above the Spa so try and avoid that. Other than that no negatives this is a beautiful authentic Spanish hotel. The views are stunning and the location is perfect the town is on your doorstep. Breakfast was good but we didn't have evening meal so can't comment. Bar and restaurant staff were great. Reception staff were great too. Would definitely go back.

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Great rooms, very clean with very comfortable beds and generally quiet. Although I could hear conversations from the next room!!! But never when I needed to sleep.|Towels could be thicker and food warmer on the buffet, but realise that can be quite difficult. |Christmas dinner was excellent.

Initially I would have said 3/5 because the first room that I was given was very dated and worn. However I spoke to reception and they moved me to another room which was fabulous. I wish that I’d have taken the gentleman’s name on reception as a way of thanks on trip advisor. He also checked me in and was so friendly and helpful. Thank you 😊.|This hotel is a traditional hotel but in a fantastic pretty village. |Breakfast was plentiful and I enjoyed it each morning with superb views of the oceon. |The bar area was lovely with fabulous views also. |I had the best week and would happily return.

A very nice hotel with a great location within a few minutes walk of the centre of the town. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always seemed to be smiling. The rooms were a good size with a good view down to the coast. While the furniture was showing signs of wear its style was perfectly suited to the design of the hotel and the room was kept very clean. Indeed the room was cleaned even on Christmas Day. Food was plentiful and varied and the gala dinner on Christmas Day was great. Also made use of the spa facilities. Just a couple of minor points stopped me giving the hotel 5 stars. Firstly, in the room I would have liked to have had a box of tissues while the towels definitely need replacing as while clean they are very thin and showing their age. And finally the serving areas in the dining room did not keep the food very hot. |Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent holiday booking through your portal. I chose Hotel TRH Mijas based on its ratings and reputation, despite there being more affordable options available. I opted to pay a higher price, expecting better quality and service, but my experience has been highly unsatisfactory.||1. No Dinner Upon Arrival:||My flight was delayed, and I arrived at the hotel around 9:45 PM. Upon arrival, I was informed that the kitchen was closed, and no dinner was available. I was not informed of this possibility beforehand by your team, leaving me unprepared after a long journey.||2. Substandard Room Allocation:||I was assigned a room outside the main building, adjacent to the road. When I raised this concern, the receptionist mentioned that these were the “cheapest rooms” allocated to Jet2 Holidays customers. This was never mentioned on your website, and I feel misled, as I paid a premium expecting a higher standard of accommodation.||3. Poor Room Conditions:||The room provided had a bad odor, lacked proper logistics, and was far below the expected standard. It is unacceptable that such rooms are provided despite the premium cost I paid.||4. We have taken half board . Even though we paid the so much money for dinner but no water was given during dinner

The rooms are clean although need a complete refit. The walls are so thin that you can hear bathroom noises and conversations in the rooms next door. The man next door snored all night for the week he was there. Luckily I had ear plugs but asking your neighbor's to turn their music and tv down was not very nice as they were not playing them loud but the walls are too thin. The beds were comfortable . It was not the best weather while we were there and while the public rooms were warm the bedrooms were not very warm and it's not possible to change the heat settings. The patio doors do not fit very well and opening and closing them proved difficult and the wind whistled through them moving the curtains. The staff in this hotel are fabulous especially Maria in the bar and allways have a smile and are very helpful. The hotel is also in a fabulous position within easy walking of the beautiful shops and fantastic selection of bars and restaurants. I hope they update the bedrooms soon which will make a huge difference to the comfort of the guests. The public areas are very traditionally Spanish which was lovely and the views from the Restaurant and bars are spectacular. The breakfast was not great , plenty of choice but poor quality.

Yelp
Rather nice hotel, not the US 4 star quality but clean rooms, friendly staff, pool, tennis court, good breakfast buffet with lots to choose from, not too touristy and yet just a short drive to the beaches. Mijas was OK for us cause we just stayed for two days; if you're into beach/pool/cocktails but don't want to stay in one of the beach towns this is your kinda place.

Yelp
A beautiful setting Mijas itself is a lovely little village set in a picturesque mountainside overlooking the sea. The hotel itself is what you would expect for the money. Basic touristy rooms, which are very clean. The staff were helpful but not overly fussy which was nice and they did go out of the way to make sure we were settled in OK. Free WiFi in the lobby was a bonus. The pool area is very nice with a poolside bar and great views. Plenty of sunbeds to go around so no need to worry about the Germans! The Hotel also boasts a little tent by the pool where you can have a massage and other treatments if that is your thing, not mine to be honest! Not too expensive to stay there but the beer and snacks were quite pricey probably due to it's location. All in all I would recommend this Hotel if you want to visit the quaint mountain village of Mijas, which itself is fabulous!
