Hotel Triglav is a charming property with a lot of character. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, and the view from our room overlooking Lake Bled was absolutely stunning — a real highlight of the stay. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, though beginning to show signs of wear, such as a torn bed frame, which slightly detracted from the overall impression. The 4-course dinner was a real treat — well prepared, thoughtfully presented, and thoroughly enjoyable. A special mention goes to the young waiter who served us; he was friendly, attentive, and added a warm touch to the evening. However, customer service at the hotel felt uneven. While some staff members, like the waiter, were welcoming and professional, others came across as cold and disinterested. This was particularly noticeable at the reception, where we had to wait during checkout hours for the receptionist to finish her breakfast before assisting us. Additionally, during payment, we were automatically presented with tipping options on the card terminal, with no obvious way to skip them. While this might be common in the US, it felt out of place and awkward in a European setting. All in all, Hotel Triglav offers a picturesque and mostly enjoyable stay, but there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to consistency in customer service.

The hotel sits on a hill overlooking the lake and the view from the dining room and our room was stunning. The hotel is an old European style with much charm. If you do not have a car it is easy to get a taxi into town. The hotel breakfasts were quite good. I only wish they had a regular restaurant that served dinner instead of an expensive, Michelan starred option.

We stayed at this hotel for just one night, and while it definitely has its charm, with a beautiful view of the lake and a strong sense of history—which is great—the front desk service left much to be desired. The lady at reception was one of the least welcoming staff members I’ve encountered in a long time. At the restaurant, the only friendly waiter was a young guy, and the food itself was absolutely delicious. For me, staying at a hotel is closely tied to the feeling of hospitality, and that’s definitely something this place could work on improving.

The hotel owners, who want this to become your second home, are trying their best with their kindness and staff to achieve this. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature with a familiar view, but I must admit that the view from the hotel is special. The hotel has a collection of artwork and objects from the past and it is really visible how much effort they put into it. Beautifully furnished rooms, a top-notch restaurant, a lounge bar and a wine cellar, as well as a sauna and a swimming pool tailored to the guest.

Turn the sound on for quarterly bells. In the morning it was so lovely and beautiful with a great team on staff. Lovely comfy bed with great water pressure and amazing views. Felt so safe at night at local bar and walking at night really made my birthday feel so amazing and special to have such an amazing hotel still available during peak summer. Thank you cleaning staff again!!

Our experience of this Hotel doesn’t seem to sit inline with the other reviews on which we based our booking on.|We drove from the UK with lake Bled our must see furthest part of the adventure. This hotel looked perfect and review superb so we booked.|Upon arrival, excited we parked the car and popped into the hotel to let them know we had parked and we were an hour early. “Room not ready” was the only thing the lady said. (Even though Booking.com had 7 rooms still showing available). We spent the day at the lake and kept the bags in the car and got changed in the car park.|That evening we checked in and made it to our room. 2 single beds??? Knowing we are a young couple. Again plenty of rooms on booking.com. Had we known this we would have paid the extra for a room with a double bed.|The rooms were clean. The beds were not comfortable and the mattress low quality spring with a thin mattress topper.|The biggest problem is that the thermostat in the room glows up blue and can’t be turned off. We tried hanging towels over it but couldn’t make that work. And just compounded the poor experience of the hotel from the start.|Breakfast was passable. Eggs Benedict served on a piece of thin white piece of bread from the shop. Not even a fresh loaf cut or a muffin?? Come on chef take pride in your work!|Overall for our experience we were so disappointed we couldn’t check out fast enough to drive to Austria for the text leg of our adventure.|We would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed here as a splurge for our 25th wedding anniversary. Although we'd let the hotel know in advance of this special occasion, no acknowledgement of this was made at all during our stay (no upgrade, no complimentary drink, no card, not even a "congratulations" on check-in). The comfort double room we booked at least had a terrific view of the lake from the balcony. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant in the evening (put off by the rather strange menu), but the breakfast the next morning was very nice and included some cooked-to-order items, which made a nice change from the usual hotel buffet set-up. The hotel has its own free parking at the side, although some spaces are a little tricky to get into if you have a larger vehicle.

Pluses: This hotel boasts a truly beautiful view, which was a highlight of our stay. The provision of free bicycles was a great bonus, allowing us to explore the surrounding area easily. We also appreciated the availability of the pool and sauna, perfect for relaxation. Overall, we found the food to be good and the service to be commendable. While the hotel is located near a train line, we were pleasantly surprised that didn't hear the train at all during our stay. Minuses: The main drawback was the thin walls between the rooms. Unfortunately, we could clearly hear a neighbor snoring, which did impact our sleep quality. Another minor issue was the balcony, which remained shaded in the afternoon and evening, limiting its usability during those times. Finally, the room cleaning seemed to commence quite early in the morning, and there was no "Do Not Disturb" sign available to prevent unwanted early visits. The location is generally described as quiet, however, we did experience a nearby event by the lake which was quite loud on one of the days.
