Hotel Triglav is a charming property with a lot of character. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, and the view from our room overlooking Lake Bled was absolutely stunning — a real highlight of the stay. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, though beginning to show signs of wear, such as a torn bed frame, which slightly detracted from the overall impression.
The 4-course dinner was a real treat — well prepared, thoughtfully presented, and thoroughly enjoyable. A special mention goes to the young waiter who served us; he was friendly, attentive, and added a warm touch to the evening.
However, customer service at the hotel felt uneven. While some staff members, like the waiter, were welcoming and professional, others came across as cold and disinterested. This was particularly noticeable at the reception, where we had to wait during checkout hours for the receptionist to finish her breakfast before assisting us. Additionally, during payment, we were automatically presented with tipping options on the card terminal, with no obvious way to skip them. While this might be common in the US, it felt out of place and awkward in a European setting.
All in all, Hotel Triglav offers a picturesque and mostly enjoyable stay, but there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to consistency in customer service.
