We recently spent one night at the Hotel Trio as part of a wine country getaway, and found it to be very comfortable and convenient. A few specific points: ||We found the front desk service to be super friendly and caring - - noteworthy in a sea of hotels where that isn’t the case.||Our room was comfortable and spacious, even including a small balcony. ||The hotel is within an easy walk of downtown Healdsburg, and maybe just far enough outside of the main square area to be quieter. You can easily walk into town on the main streets, or there’s also a walking/bike path just next to the parking lot that will take you into the main part of town. ||There’s a grocery store across the street, breakfast in the lobby, and a self-serve by-the-glass wine dispenser at the bar. For anything you might need delivered to your room, the hotel has a robot named “Rose”. ||There are EV charging stations available in the parking lot, at a nominal charge, which is awesome. We used them for our trip and it was super convenient. That said, in our two days at the hotel, we noted two trucks who blocked these spaces consistently and unnecessarily - - - in other words, total jerks. We still were able to charge our vehicle; but just note that you likely will be competing for space with people who are actively attempting to impede charging. Ironically, there’s an incremental fee to EV drivers for idle time at the chargers. Advice to the hotel: We would strongly suggest implementing a penalty fee - let’s start with $100 for the first 24 hours, $200 for the next 24 hours, and $300 for the next - for vehicles blocking these spaces. They are very clearly signed. If you’re going to charge EV drivers an idle fee, it’s stupid to give the blockers a free ride - it should be a noticeable, higher fee. After all, it’s costing the hotel money for these to be blocked. ||Overall a great stay, and we look forward to returning!
