This is not a hotel but more like a low 2 star motel which needs desperately renovating. It's noisy, dirty, broken & unhealthy. Despite advertising 'Non Smoking' which is why we chose this place & location, the smell of smoke is rampant! Whilst we were out the cleaners themselves even literally smoked in our room. We could not enter upon our return it was that bad that we unfortunately had to complain to the front desk. They did apologise & allocated a different (somewhat cleaner) room however our visit here was spoilt by the fact that these disgusting "cleaners" had closed themselves into our room, probably with the A/C & T.V on having a good ole smoke whilst neglecting their duties & stinking up what was supposed to be a 'non smoking room' !! Beware if you choose to stay here.

Our first impression of the staff was that they were quite rude when there was a miscommunication and we thought we could check in early. We were sick and had food poisoning the day before (from somewhere else) and we wanted to just rest and sleep, but they were very firm about their 2pm check-in. Ok, no problem... Then we had to SWITCH rooms because we noticed black MOULD all over the bathroom ceiling and the bathroom smelled. The shower water smelled like sewer too. The towels they provide are FILTHY and super stained. We booked the Bromo Tour through this hotel. The tour was great, but the "guides" are just drivers who wait for you in the car. My hat got stolen from my bag in the car while we were hiking. The breakfast at this hotel is very disappointing. The air conditioner was hit/miss, it usually did not work and when it did it was extremely noisy.

The staff of the hotel is very nice. They don’t all speak English very well, but they always try their best. They let us leave our bags for free for two days while we were off to another place. The room was nice, the bed was very comfortable. The light in the room is mediocre. Overall, the room was alright. The breakfast is a buffet made of mainly indonesian food, so rice, noodles, fried chicken, etc. There was some fruit and a bit a bread, but don’t expect a western buffet.

Cheaply priced hotel in a good location. It definitely is a 3 star hotel. -there is no elevator only stairs -aircon units were old. Some partially worked with some trouble - room were relatively clean but showing there age and a bit of neglect -bathroom definitely needs a "glow up" as another review states. There is a slight smell of mildew. The shower heads are clogged so not very powerfull. - was a guessing game when showering as you would get either scalding hot water or cool water through out the shower despite not adjusting the tap - towels appeared to be clean as they are packaged in plastic wrap -key cards work 50/50 and opening the doors requires a bit of skill. -beds are standard CONS Management has let their staff down. We had a toilet stop working in the evening. The limited staff on hand could not fix it or call out an emergency plumber. They we very young an seemed in experienced. Not their fault. I suggested we go to another room and they said they were booked up. I told them we couldn't stay in a room without a working toilet. (Some food hit harder than others) I could see other rooms were not occupied yet and told them to place us in one of those rooms while the next days reservations check in after mid day and a plumber could fix it in the early morning. They advised they couldn't. Finally I was fed up and asked them to either put us in a new hotel or another room. 20 minutes later they " upgraded" us to a superior room. The room was slightly bigger but had the same conditions as described above. OVERALL Don't expect to much from this place. It is a good location and staff is friendly. Could reach a lot of locations nearby.

The price speak for itself. The place has so much potential from the location alone. It is so perfectly located, super near from everywhere, even the train station. The room is old, the shower head 100% need fixing or changing cos the water cant come out fully from the sands inside. When i uncover the bathroom, there was a hair and it icks me knowing it’s not properly clean. On the positive side, their towel is clean and covered. Although the room is old, there is no funky smell (thank God!!), the aircon is moderately working, room is spacious, bed is clean and comfortable. The bathroom light needs to be brighter. The bathroom simply needs a glow up! The service and front desk need WAY MORE hospitality training, it’s not their fault, the management simply need to up their game and provide the team with better service knowledge. Gave them my clothes for instant one day laundry for 15k/kg. My 5 clothes cost me 45k. I gave them additional 2 shirt and skirt before i know the price. 25k for that. Apparently 3 shirt and a skirt is more than a kg, what a joke. Overall, perfect for a quick stay, transit stay, any short stay. And don’t wash your laundry unless you are freaking desperate.

I have the best sleep ever in this hotel! The bed is soo comfortable, even my wife said so. We've been trying out about 3 to 5 budget (but nice) hotel here for our holiday here in Malang and here is the Pros and Cons staying here in Trio Indah 2: Pros: - It has the best bed in every budget hotel! I stay in room 113 and the bed type is soft, with big and comfy blanket and also the pillow is bouncy makes you sleep immediately. - The hotel has kind staff Usually staff on other budget hotel only asked "Is your room need to be cleaned?" then if you said "No" the staff will leave. But here in Trio 2, I got asked with details question after that such as "Do you need more towel?", "Is the kettle working fine?", "Do you need more water bottle?", etc. - It has working hot water The timing for when the hot water running in the shower is usually slow for a budget hotel. Usually you need to turn on your shower then wait for a couple of minute Cons: - The WiFi connection signal is soooo bad I dont know is it because I sleep in the corner room or something but I barely got any signal when staying there. They should add a router for every room so the signal is good. (I try the wifi on the lobby and it works just fine, probably just a signal issue) - The room got mosquito (a lil bit) It's best for you to tidy up ur belongings when staying here and if you sleep for more than 1 nights like me, I think it's a good idea to take up on the offer when the staff asked whether you need the room to be cleaned. - The old McDonalds building is kind of in the way When I first came here I tell my wife that the hotel looks creepy mainly because the McDonald building on the left but after I stayed there I don't feel like that anymore - The door lock is kind of hard to open The door sensor is kind of hard for you to get used to. Even I asked for the staff twice to open it for me and after that they taught me on how to open the door. I got used to it now and I could open it by myself

Room was good, clean, its worth the price for size and facilities. Good location, easy to find. Foods in the restaurant were awesome. We like to order indonesian food such as; Koloke and Nasi Goreng Java. We also can have a breakfast box when we went to Mount Bromo at midnight. Need to improve only the pickle on bfast, some of little flies look into it. Big thanks to Natali in the reception, she gave her best services to us
