Stayed two nights at Hotel Trix as part of a tour of the Netherlands. We chose it primarily because of it's proximity to Burgers Zoo, just a mile up the road.||This is a little gem of a place, it's almost a shame they only have half a dozen rooms. As a restaurant it appears to be very popular with locals. We stayed the Saturday and the Sunday and there were a lot of people in the restaurant throughout the day, both inside and out on the front patio, and on an evening. The staff are excellent, very friendly and very helpful making you feel as if nothing you ask is a problem.||The rooms are basic but they are a reasonable size and very clean, the bed was massive and very comfortable. The bed was made up with fresh linen every day. Even though it is next to a main road at a junction and we were on the side facing the road there was almost no traffic noise.||We chose to have breakfast which was a typical continental type, and our main evening meals in the restaurant. The food was excellent and the service fabulous. Whilst the menus are in Dutch there is a QR code on them which will take you to a webpage on your phone where they are all there in multiple languages. The meals were prepared quickly, I don't think we waited more than 10-15 minutes between ordering and being served. ||As I mentioned we chose it for it's proximity to the Burgers Zoom, Arnhem, which is definitely a must do if you are in the area. It was only 1.6km/1 mile 15 minute gentle walk and with the weather being good we chose to walk it using a tree covered cycle path that ran just to the side of the main road. There is also a nearby country park with lots and lots of pathways through wooded areas to go explore on an evening.
