Hotel Tschuggen

Excellent hotel. Loved my stay here. The charming balcony had a gorgeous view of the mountains surrounding. Room was very clean and comfortable. It’s central Grindelwald easy to reach the train station and all the major attractions very close by. Breakfast was delicious. Owner is extremely kind and hospitable. Would stay here again and again

The Tschuggen stands a little back from the main street of Grindelwald, and once you go on one of the Eiger side balconies you seem miles away from the bustle of the street. The views of the Eiger rooms are stunning, overlooking a small garden and the green of the valley, but the hotel is also extremely convenient for all of Grindelwald’s amenities. Rooms are simple but spotless, and the breakfast is generous. Christophe and his team are extremely helpful and kind. As Grindelwald sees many changes, it is lovely to see a place which delivers this type of service and experience. Long may it continue!

Wonderful service, and lovely (and cozy) rooms! We were going to jungfraujoch that day in the morning, and they specifically packed our breakfast for us earlier than the breakfast start time (and even remembered that we needed a vegetarian breakfast)! Breakfast is included for each room package by the way! Dedicated staff, and wonderful views of the alps. Highly recommend, and would stay here next time in Grindelwald. One of the most reasonably priced hotels around the region, with lovely staff!

Stunning views and a fantastic location, the surroundings are truly breathtaking and ideal for anyone visiting Grindelwald. However, I found the overall experience disappointing due to the attitude of the hotel owner, who came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming. As a Swiss passport holder and a native Swiss German speaker, I had expected a more professional and courteous interaction. I understand that Grindelwald and the surrounding areas face challenges with over-tourism and that this can create frustration for some locals, but as paying guests, a basic level of hospitality and professionalism should still be maintained. While the location is wonderful, I believe the guest experience could be significantly improved with a warmer and more accommodating approach.

This incredible hotel has charm, warmth, wonderful staff and the most spectacular view ever. Its location is perfect. In the middle of town so close to restaurants but very quiet. From the moment we entered we were so happy to be staying in this gorgeous hotel. Nothing to fault

My husband and I had the most enjoyable stay at this hotel. Absolutely remarkable service and a special shoutout to Christof. He went above and beyond for us during our stay. The views from our balcony were breathtaking as seen in the pictures. Rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. Location was the best and all walking distance from trains, buses and restaurants. We will definitely be back again, thanks again for such a pleasant stay!

This was an absolutely wonderful family run hotel. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. Great breakfast, front desk was always willing to help answer any questions that you had. This is a nice centrally located hotel had lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

The hotel is very nice, clean and cozy room with a balcony and nice view. Just 5 minutes' walk from Grindelwald main station and very easy to find. Recommended to stay at here.
