We've visited Blitar and Tugu many times and often stay in one of their rooms. This time we were staying nearby with family but visited the restaurant on numerous occasions for dinner. It's our favourite place to eat in town as the food is always fresh, tasty and reasonably priced with a great menu, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The traditional buildings and decor really add to the experience and are worth visiting alone - if staying in Blitar or just passing by. What I particularly value is that when eating out in Indonesia I usually need to be careful what I eat and drink, particularly things that aren't cooked, like fruit, salad and ice, however at Tugu I know I can relax and eat/drink what I like. I can also get a cold Bintang!
