The hotel doesn’t offer any amenities for the price you pay then they want to charge you a destination fee which means you pay $45 a day basic parking while staying at their hotel. I do not understand how they classify themselves as a resort. They don’t even have hot food on site. They only have snacks where you check in and it is away from the rooms. The hotel isn’t directly on the beach there is a lot you have to walk across. Also, you know how hotels give you a 12pm courtesy checkout time, here they make you pay extra. You basically just get a basic room nothing else. The bed and pillows were good as that is all I can say about it. Please note this was during their off season so it wasn’t like they were busy. The hotel staff was nice. I wouldn’t stay here again simply because the value isn’t there. If they did offer anything extra I wasn’t informed of it.

Google
Positive: The staff was friendly. Love that the hotel is right on the beach. So easy access Negative: When going to out room on the second floor you get off the elevator and you get a big smell of weed(marijuana) you could smell it all the way to the end of the hall. When walking into the room the first thing we noticed was how dirty the room was.

I have always wanted to stay at Hotel Tybee and it did not disappoint!! It began with a wonderful conversation with Donna when I called to make a reservation for my birthday! She was so wonderful and kind and accommodating!! The room was clean and spacious! And the view was everything I dreamed it would be! 10/10 do recommend and will definitely be staying again! Thank you Hotel Tybee for a fabulous birthday!!

I booked a 4 night stay the week of Christmas. I had a nice oceanview riom where i could sit on the balcony with a cup of tea that looked out to the ocean. Holly Johnson was exceptionally helpful with my needs, getting me xtra supplies, changing checkout time and I got a tour. She was very friendly and knowledgeable of the surroundings, giving recommendations for places to visit and eat. My room was at the end of the hall and nice and quiet.

Google
I stayed at Hotel Tybee and it was an amazing experience from the time I arrived. I was given a nice and clean room with an amazing view of the ocean. The mattress was so comfortable that I did not want to get up the following day. I could hear the ocean and it was so relaxing. Hotel Tybee is definitely my place to go whenever I want to relax and get away from it all. I cannot wait to come back and stay again in a few months!

Google
I love this place. Trinity is so sweet and amazing. And the GM Brett is also very friendly and super inviting! The rooms and nice and clean and the showers are hot and ac is cold. Good experience.

Google
Unfortunately, this room did not meet our expectations. It was dingy, in need of updating, and some serious deep cleaning. The bathroom especially left a lot to be desired. The access panel in the bathroom was rusty and hanging. The shower was not clean, and around all the baseboards needed to be cleaned. One of the biggest problems was the hanging surge protector that both the fridge and microwave were plugged into. When we tried to use the microwave, it would trip the surge protector and cut the power to both the fridge and microwave. The fridge was constantly defrosting, which caused all our items in the fridge to be filled with water. Whenever we opened the fridge, the water would spill out onto the floor. The railing on the balcony was very wobbly. If we had had small children with us, it would have been very unsafe.

Google
Went to the Hotel on a spur of the moment type thing, and I had a great experience there. The hotel was pet friendly, and my dog seemed very comfortable, which was quite unexpected because he's usually very nervous in new places. Can't wait to visit again soon, but with a little more planning to enjoy and experience the whole island.

Auntonio S.

Yelp
They've updated some things which is cool. Because for a very long time this place out dated and over priced. You can still see things that need upgrading, but an overall pleasant stay.

Cinthya J.

Yelp
Location and the nice gentleman that works at the Tiki bar are the only good things about this place, other than that everything else was bad. Price is high for what you get. We got 2 rooms. The hotel is not in good conditions. There was absolutely no body wash or hand soap in the containers in both rooms! Had to use shampoo. Rooms weren't very clean and everything was rusted and dated. We are on vacation, trying to sleep in a little... we'll that didn't happen! Landscaping company started mowing and blowing right outside our room shortly before 8. If this place was maybe cheaper it would be somewhat ok dealing with these issues but definitely not for the piece we paid.

Lisa H.

Yelp
The location of the hotel is the ONLY reason for 2 stars. With the number emails you receive prior to your stay you would expect a much more customer oriented experience. Our stay started with being told about a fee for an early check-in even though we were 20 minutes before the check in time AND our room was already ready.. The room wasn't great, see photos. My shoes stuck to the bathroom floor so I refused to walk around barefoot. Next morning, I just wanted to get a shower and get out. It would have been nice had their been any hand soap, body wash or shampoo/. This propery is not even worth the $210 that we paid.

Maria P.

Yelp
This is a perfect beach get away hotel- all the amenities you would want for fun in the sun with great restaurants and additional adventures available nearby

Jenn M.

Yelp
This hotel is the grossest I've ever stayed in. Our room was disgusting and had a dehumidifier because the plaster is literally bubbling from the wall. The AC unit did not work. There was mold everywhere in the hotel. The only nice thing is the view of the beach but it is not worth $400 a night.

David W.

Yelp
Horrible waste of money! Over priced very old hotel. We got a room on the 4th floor and the elevator did not work, then we get to the room and the door lock was broke. It took an hour of going back n forth to get it fixed. The room was not impressive at all. Old and outdated.

Peggy L.

Yelp
I brought my granddaughter to the beach for the first time, we had a wonderful time. I did have to change rooms because there was something wrong with the tub, but everyone was very helpful and all was done in a timely manner. I will definitely stay again. Thank you all for making it great.

Leanna C.

Yelp
This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Issues included: used dental sticks at the side of my bed food on the wall of the room bottle caps and dust beside and behind the bed Room is dated with rusting lamps and only one outlet at the bedside. Pool is filthy! Filled with floating hair, grime and all sorts of organic matter. The pool lining is lifting off the floor of the pool and should be replaced. Not on the beach. Is on the parking lot that goes to the beach. Beach view is only from the 4th floor. Door lock was broken. Maintenance had to replace. Towels and beach chairs are in your room, and you must carry them to the beach yourself. No dining, bar, or food on site. While you pay a resort fee, DO NOT mistake this for a resort. This is a large motel that is way overpriced.

Marie S.

Yelp
Clean, beautiful views, perfect location, beach chairs provided by hotel, and close to many restaurants! Great vacation.

Todd G.

Yelp
I don't even know how to start in my review of this perfect getaway! This getaway has been planned for a while and we could not wait to get to the property! We arrived a little early and we were greeted with a smile and a perfect check in! The room we had booked was a ocean side and it was better than we expected, from pictures and we loved it! We loved the pool and did I say tiki bar as well! While we were there the GM even hosted a free drinks happy hour at the Tiki bar, and you cant make this up, saved a raccoon that had its head stuck in a peanut Butter jar. The beach , was great! Through our entire 4 day stay, I cannot thank the staff enough for a perfect stay! My wife and I cannot wait to book our return trip to this area and Savannah and hit those restaurants we might have missed! I know for sure we will be staying at Hotel Tybee! Thanks for the great service!

Kendall Y.

Yelp
I just left this hotel today and I would like to share that the hotel workers are kind, but the hotel is a dirty. There's mold on the bed and shower curtain. I've also seen a roach and spider.

D F.

Yelp
We have stayed here numerous times, often arriving earlier than designated check-in. Today, I was informed that the room is ready, however, there would be a $57 fee for early check-in. This came as a surprise, especially given their willingness to accommodate in the past & also, because I received an email stating they could accommodate early check-in if room available. NO MENTION of a fee. The hotel is not that great to begin with (location is). I assume ownership is not interested in repeat customers.

Madeline M.

Yelp
I wish i would do 4.5 but I can't. So I'll give 4 they were so nice and fun. I'm here with my good brothers of kappa sigma. They are nice too. The drinks were tasteful and now I am tipsy. I enjoyed my time here. Carter and Chrissy made my night. Wonderful women :)

Mari A.

Yelp
Surprised that for $250 a night (including taxes and resort fee) that this hotel was in such disrepair and dirty. The resort fee was for beach chairs and towels, which we didn't even get when we checked in. I had to go down to the front desk twice to ask for the beach chairs and towels. Every time I called, the phone was busy. We didn't even have bath towels. We saw the cleaning lady on the floor and asked her for towels and she said she didn't have any. In addition, the bathroom was old and the tub had yellow stains. There was garbage and broken glass. It wasn't safe to walk barefoot from the beach to the hotel because the walkways of the hotel were so dirty. By the elevator the floor was flooded which was concerning. Our balcony provided us with a view of the parking lot. They had bikes that guests can use. We saw three and after signing the waivers and trying the bikes, we had to go back into the reception and tell them that the bikes were unusable. For $250 a night we expected so much better. First and last time visiting Tybee Island. For $250 a night I can stay at a real resort in Mexico or the Caribbean. I'm attaching pictures. This place is a real dump. Don't waste your money.

Mason B.

Yelp
No shampoo no conditioner, horrible cleanliness. Loud noises in morning. And kicked out with no compensation. Definitely do not recommend.

Sharyn Y.

Yelp
Disgusting room. Dirt on the floors, obviously not or maybe ever cleaned, everything was rusted. No soap in the dispensers. There was hair on the toilet and trash behind the toilet. Yuck!

Madolyn M.

Yelp
Real nasty, real rude staff, and real expensive. We came to Savannah for a concert and decided to stay on the beach. This place was a mistake. Staff was rude, the room was disgusting, lamps rusty, balcony rusty, floors stained and dirty, trash on floors, bathroom had pubic hairs all over, mice droppings everywhere, and no cleaning staff in sight. Hairdryer didn't work, smelled like weed, homeless people in parking lot digging through trash. We had pigeons trying to get into our room from the "balcony." All they could offer us was free parking. And the "restaurants" near by are all bars and not family friendly. There is no grocery store nearby, and for one night this cost WAY too much. Smart TV but no subscriptions so only news channels. Don't make our same mistake!

Karen W.

Yelp
Very disappointed. Elevators not working properly Reserved ocean front room got there and we were given inland view of parking lot. If I had not driven so far I would have left. Hotel did not offer anything for there mess up.

Joe B.

Yelp
Hotel rooms were very bare and in construction with no soap and rushed to leave the rooms.

Amanda J.

Yelp
I booked a few days for a wedding / long weekend getaway. I'm seriously underwhelmed - the room is ok but the bathroom is gross and way out of date - the tub was dirty, the faucet was loose and dripping water. The room wasn't serviced at all through our stay, even when I left the hang tag on the door requesting towels. I definitely recommend finding a different hotel if you plan to visit this lovely island!

A B.

Yelp
No TV, No WIFI, plenty of upgrades needed. Had to empty the plastic cup of water collected under the AC unit. INCLUDES NUMEROUS FEES!

Von C.

Yelp
From the Moment we checked in, instant bad vibe. There was no one at the check in desk, and no one ahead of us. Finally after saying hello several times, someone came to the desk. We told the clerk that we were there to check in. And she said, okay, wait a moment and she disappeared into the back for several minutes. It was probably at least 5 to 10 minutes before she came back up. So we got checked in, Our room was filthy, the floors were sticky and I checked them with white washcloth and dirt all over the floor the cloth was black.with dirt. The balcony had nail clippings on it. No shampoo or soap several calls made to the desk on ourcelk. The ro phone didn't work. TV and no controllers. Trash was never taken out, hair dryer didn't work. No water pressure. Rusty lamps, smelled of vomit.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Ugh, I'm really conflicted. First, the location is amazing. It really can't be beat. I love the beach chairs and beach towels provided in the rooms. The front desk staff is very sweet. I feel like this hotel is going through a major renovation, and we stayed in the middle of it. I can tell that they're trying to update things - new floors, hallways numbers, some decor. But, the shortcomings outweigh the "trying". Our room looks like it was painted by a 5 year old. There's mold in the bathroom, holes in the wall, peeling paint on the ceiling, broken lampshades, rusty lamps and the balcony was very dirty/rundown. Even the pool liner was bubbling up in places. For over $300 a night (after $35/night for parking), this hotel just isn't worth it. If it was half, ok, you deal. But I feel very disappointed. I'm glad we spent more time at the beach than in our rooms. I did contact the hotel manager, but haven't heard back.

Tilden M.

Yelp
I would like to thank Brett and Donna for being so accommodating in helping my wife and I arrange a beach get a way for our 57th wedding anniversary. They were not only helpful but wonderful hosts. Their staff were nice and efficient. We had wonderful water views from the balcony of our large room. I recommend you visit Brett, Donna and their hotel.

Laura K.

Yelp
A cheap motel experience at a luxury resort price: My daughter and I recently stayed here for several nights and were extremely disappointed with the experience. On the first night, we realized the room was filthy -- fairly certain they'd only changed the linens before we got there. The shower was also broken, but the very kind gentlemen from maintenance had that repaired very quickly. We literally begged for clean linens and housekeeping all day and finally got linens after 9 pm. I even stepped on broken glass left on the floor while the housekeeper was there and all we got was a linen swap. On the third day, they did finally sweep the floors after telling multiple people of my stepping on glass. We never saw housekeeping again the entire stay. Seriously, for the price, you'd think clean towels and housekeeping services would be a minimum! There were several other issues while we were there including the elevator breaking down, the internet and television going in and out, and water draining slowly from all drains. Besides a fantastic location and a couple of undervalued employees, this place has absolutely nothing to offer. We will definitely be spending our money elsewhere next trip.

Steven G.

Yelp
This is a terrible place to stay, I paid $800.00 for 3 nights and the "beach view" was all but impossible due to the filthy glass door I had to look out of. I use a bath towel to clean it myself. The place is absolutely filthy from top to bottom and many things need repair. The ice machine on the first floor of the south tower was so dirty it was scary. You could do much better elsewhere on the island.

Gerald S.

Yelp
We checked in late on a Thursday to a room that had no hot water. Got switched to a room with hot water that had not been sufficiently cleaned. No bath shampoo or body wash, dirty toilet bowl, .... Not what we were expecting for the price we paid. We had to ask SEVERAL times to get the room cleaned. Location is excellent.

Caroline I.

Yelp
What a horrible place to stay. Our first room wasn't clean and appeared as though someone was still there. Our second room smelled like cigarettes. I tried to ignore it with hope it dissipated. Tried to enjoy a few hours on the beach. Tybee has really turned into a Myrtle Beach with level of trashy . Upon return I pulled the bedding back to find the linens to be dirty. I said f$&k this and left. Got a nice hotel room for less than my night at Hotel Tybee in downtown Savannah for the night.

Carrie D.

Yelp
I will sum this up in three words. WHAT A DUMP. Ok, first of all our room was ready @ 1:00 vs 3:00 so we took the sucker deal and paid the extra $50 to check in early. Albeit the parking lot was empty and the hotel seemed deserted. So we get in our room after a food laden/puked stained ride in the elevator only to find a room with crumbled ceiling dust all over the desk/coffee maker, dingy walls, non working safe, and chirping smoke alarm. We called the front desk and they politely moved us to another room. By this time we were 20 minutes from original check in time so we stopped at the desk to see if they could possibly refund that $50 "early" check in fee. She refunded $25 and mentioned the rooms were because of a college festival that basically invaded the island. So we were subjected to the nasty aftermath. I get it, maybe not their "fault" entirely but they were not willing to be very accommodating for new business. We elected to leave even though we ate the cost. There may have been an overrun of young people but looking at the building itself , it's definitely a dump. Don't get suckered into the website and all the nice emails you get like I did.

Whitney S.

Yelp
Overpriced! There partial ocean view is more like a parking lot view. This is the local public parking for the beach. The hotel rooms are very dated. The hotel staff is very unfriendly and just getting extra towels was a complete nightmare! The cleaning ladies are not helpful, have terrible attitudes, and they never came to pick up trash out of the rooms. I understand Covid 19 and the safety issues, but it was beyond what was even expected. The pool was not much better. The water level was 2 foot below the ladder one day.

Rhonda B.

Yelp
The hotel is very dated and needs a major facelift. Our room started off with no shower curtain and a very dirty floor. It then continued with no heat on the hair dryer. This was a one and done for us. Sad to say bc it's in a perfect location.

Anthony B.

Yelp
***UPDATE*** We came home with head lice. This hotel is NOT CLEAN!! PROS: Andy at the front desk is seriously the greatest. Not only did he wish me a happy birthday during me making my reservation but he was the most polite and respectful employee so far. CONS: $600 for two days. Went up to the front desk for clean sheets and the staff said they'd bring some new ones to our room. This was never the case. These blankets were filthy stained. I waited majority of the evening for a staff member even after calling the front desk. No comp. no nothing. Don't purchase a viewside room. The sand dunes are too large and unless you're on the 4th floor you don't get a view. Only parking lot. Also, when there's wet paint, pls hang up signs BEFORE you're finished

Lori T.

Yelp
If you want to spend $250 a night for an ocean view room, plan to stay somewhere else. Room was dirty; no housekeeping, difficult to get supplies like soap, towels, toilet paper; sliding door leaked during rainstorm and the floor was wet. Reception staff not very welcoming. I doubt I will return to Tybee in the future, and definitely would not stay at Hotel Tybee.

Brian B.

Yelp
Nice beach hotel! A large group of us stayed for a week while in town for work. For a building with very close proximity to the ocean, it was very clean and orderly. The staff we encountered during our stay was very friendly, courteous and professional. Personally, anytime I am on Island, I will stay at this hotel....complimentary beach chairs and beach towels to use during your stay makes for less stuff to pack from home and is a really nice touch!! Thank You Hotel Tybee.

Corrin D.

Yelp
Horrible place to stay. Dirty, run down, unhelpful staff. Hair was stuck onto the shower walls from the previous guests and when the bathtub wouldn't drain, the front desk sent someone to fix it. Rather than fix the issue, he poured some intense chemicals down the drain which caused myself and the other person staying with me to become sick due to the fumes. Instead of giving us a new room, maintenance just opened our balcony door and brought in a giant fan, leaving a disgusting flooded mess on the bathroom floor. Well into the night people were revving truck engines right outside our door and loudly playing music, with the hotel staff doing nothing about it. We had high hopes for our stay at Hotel Tybee and paid a rate that is incomprehensible for the experience we have had. Don't waste your money

Jennifer H.

Yelp
I understand that 'location location location' allows people to charge way more than expected. However $750 for 2 nights at this hotel makes me feel violated. This was by far the nastiest hotel I have ever set foot in. I've been overseas while in the Army, in tents and it wasn't as bad as this. Everything is DIRTY, even the walls have food, mood, cracks, and rust... somehow. The fridge doesn't work, and the microwave takes twice as long as normal ones. I was terrified to sleep on the beds because of the condition of everything else. I kept feeling like something was crawling on me. Also, I don't feel safe because the locks and the cracks visible in the adjoining room. The location is the only positive thing about this hotel ( and the staff at check in Tonya was super sweet ) the hall ways are also kind of decent. Oh but only 1 of the two elevators works. Will never come here again. Ever. And I would strongly Advise unless you absolutely 10000% have to be on the beach.... go somewhere else.

Emily J.

Yelp
*WARNING* MOLD! MOLD! MOLD! If I could give this place -10 stars I would. I've already reported this place to the Better Business Bureau. Aside from the misleading website pictures, careless service, damp towels, wet carpet and overall MOLD infestation and the awful mildew smell that came with it; the beach was great. But if you're looking for a place to stay in Tybee Island DO NOT go here!

Mona A.

Yelp
Super gross!! Super dirty and smelly. They don't have laundry machines for guests. This a island. Your super far from the beach. Would not recommend this place.

Amelia P.

Yelp
Hotel Tybee has been a home away from home for me for the past 8 or 9 years. I have always had a great experience. This time I opened my fridge door it fell off. By time I had told the staff about it, it was replaced. The 2 lady's at the front desk went out of their way to help me fix my phone so I could have it working by time I left so I had GPS. Hotel tybee is in a great location. Many different restaurants and bars within walking distance. The pier is also within walking distance. From some rooms you can also have a great ocean view. Hotel tybee is amazing.

Zulma C.

Yelp
We were on vacation this last weekend. In this photo there is bed bugs but that's not all. There was mold in the bathroom and hairs. The towels were dirty with makeup and so was some of the bed sheets. Overall the whole room was dirty.

Brittney N.

Yelp
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. This is our first time to Tybee and we love everything about our vacation except this hotel. Place is super outdated and dirty. Staff are rude and disrespectful. The hotel is overpriced at almost $400 a night claiming to be "beach front", however there is a public beach parking lot right in front of the building. If you aren't on the top floor you can't even see the beach. Very disappointing.

Aggie W.

Yelp
We requested a renovated room with a full ocean view on the third or fourth floor. We stayed during the last week of February, so the hotel, beach, and town were not crowded. We had booked two nights and decided to stay a third night. We found the room and linens clean and the view beautiful. There is a parking lot and sand dunes between the hotel and the beach, but this did not impair our view. It was also a very short and easy walk from the hotel to the beach over a wooden walkway--maybe a two-minute walk. I would recommend a third or fourth floor room for an enjoyable view. The balcony had higher-sitting chairs, so you were not looking at the ocean through the railing. The front office staff was very friendly, and the maids were also very nice and helpful. The maids were hard at work every day, so I felt certain that our room had been thoroughly cleaned before our check-in. Our linens were spotless, and the room had a nice tv with options to watch Netflix, AmazonPrime, etc. There is a safe, coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator, two beach chairs, and beach towels. It had incredible water pressure. When we checked out, the manager took the call to ask us how our stay was. This is an older hotel that is being renovated, not a Hilton--but the charm of Tybee is that it does not have those chain hotels and restaurants. The four-star rating reflects that it exceeded our expectations.

Kelly P.

Yelp
About a month out, my boyfriend and I needed a vacation... badly! I looked at every hotel, motel, Holiday Inn (pause for a giggle).... even looked at AirBnB, any thing that would get us close to the beach. Come to find out there's not a lot of locations that offer beach side views and access. Then, I found Hotel Tybee. Yes, it was a little more than we wanted to spend for 2 nights, but it gave us everything. It gave us a beautiful view of the beach and ocean when we woke up. We had an awesome balcony to enjoy the sunrise. We had the beach access literally across the parking lot. Shops, diners, restaurants, bars, etc. just around the corner. Couldn't ask for anything more. Prior to arrival email: Received probably the best email I've ever gotten prior to any stay. It was heart felt, with character, and included a list of must do's/ recommendations. Check-in: QUICK! we arrived around 11am, well before actual check-in time and our room was already ready! Check-in took about 5 minutes. Parking: Parking pass with a $15 daily fee (worth it! No other available parking). Don't park in the public lot, you will get a ticket. Saw the guy patrolling... like it's his job! oh wait... Rooms: bathrooms were just renovated. REALLY comfortable bed and pillows. Big screen TV. Balcony. Small fridge in the room with microwave. Includes a safe as well. Location: PERFECT! As stated above... Check-out: As quick as a phone call to the desk. Leave your keys in the room and they promptly send you an email with your invoice. I'd definitely recommend over and over again!

Kay K.

Yelp
I had a very good stay here! The staff was friendly and accommodating! It's so good to see that they are making improvements. I will be back and look forward to seeing the remodeled rooms when they're done! Great view on the ocean side and excellent customer service! Thank you to all the staff at the desk and in housekeeping. You ALL were fantastic!

Juliette Z.

Yelp
This is a cute hotel.. the bathroom door needs tlc, but overall the perfect place to get away. Just be advised the hotel is not directly on the beach you have to walk thru a public parking area. There is only 1 hotel directly on the beach for the entire island. The rooms are large with beautiful views.. if u can ask for above the 2nd floor. I read some of the reviews prior and any bad review in my opinion is not justified.

Chase B.

Yelp
Hotel is on near the beach but there is a large public parking lot between it and the dune crossovers. It is a bit of a walk to get to the crossovers. The room had stains in the carpet, the old metal trim in the bathroom was rusting and the shower/tub were in a bit disrepair not to mention the air conditioner would run for only 30 seconds or so before turning off, luckily we stayed during cooler nights so we left the balcony door open. They elevators were slow and the lights in one were not working, just hope that the button worked when you press it and wait maybe 15 seconds or so for the door to finally close. I was not overly happy with it as compared to the price. I will not be staying there again.

Brianna V.

Yelp
It's got all the amenities you need and it's right infront of the beach! They have a little tiki bar and they give you free drink chips when you check in. Right across the street is a yummy icecream shop The room itself is clean but a little outdated and sometimes they have a problem with their card reader to get in the room. Kind of a pain getting my key then having to walk all the way back to the office that is separate from the building itself to get a new one. Also being woken up early in the morning to VERY loud maintenance work is also a major downside. Overall with the amenities, the room, and the view of the beach the price tag is not worth over $300 for a beach view room. You don't have to pay for parking though so that's nice!

E R.

Yelp
I honestly don't know where to start, we were so excited to visit Tybee beach that we didn't do our research, we randomly picked a spot that we felt that was on the beach and walking distance to shops but not in the middle of it, Hotel Tybee seemed like a good spot, but..... it is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at on a beach anywhere!!! Hotel Tybee should be ashamed, honestly it's awful, it's more of a place where people go to party and don't care about cleanliness, or customers, or safety, or anything else other then how much money they can put into there pockets, the owner or manager of this hotel shouldn't be able to charge the amount of money per room that they do, it's definitely not worth it. Not only is the property littered with trash, but the property itself is old and crusty and not well maintained, the rooms are disgusting, paint peeling, carpets stained, walls caked with who knows what, doors broke, no security, and the pool is nasty with the bottom pulling up, and homeless sleeping in the public parking lot just outside our balcony. It was like staying in the hood, it says beachfront and I guess it is but it's more like public parking lot front then the beach. Public works came by every morning to clean the parking lot and feed the multiple stray cats we seen everywhere, but Hotel Tybee doesn't clean any part of the hotel grounds at anytime, trash everywhere, towels, clothes, liquor bottles, cups, you name it. Not sure if the owner of the hotel is aware or they just don't care, but for the money you need to do your research before going to Tybee, not all hotels are equal, definitely won't be staying here again!!! This place needs some help!!

We attended a wedding at Hotel Tybee. The hotel has three floors. The view of the beach was nice. The venue was a little small but the food was tasty and the employees were helpful.
