Beautifully renovated villa in a quiet yet central location. This hotel has been tastefully renovated with excellent attention to detail. After a long day of travel it was like a home from home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even arranged breakfast earlier than normal as we had an early flight. The breakfast itself had a lovely selection breads, cheeses, meats, cereals etc. The rooms have loads of character and the beds are super comfortable. The location suited us as we wanted somewhere quiet but also relatively close to the town center. The underground was only around the corner and 2 stops from the center. We would definitely stay here again.

These Tripadvisor pictures are grossly outdated. The hotel was renovated earlier this year and could not be more beautiful or tastefully decorated. The hotel retains it's new construction smell. There are modern motion sensitive lights and an elevator. The breakfast room is beautiful and the property is family owned. Each staff member that we interacted with was so friendly and helpful, often going out of the way to assist us with directions/train questions. Highly recommend this gorgeous property.

Wonderfully located, easy walk to U and S Bahn stations. Much better than options in center city

I was late (as in super) for check-in, but the man in the front desk welcomed me warmly. I was so sorry for that. The location was quite near from the train station. It took about 15 minutes by walking. But late in the night, if you need to walk to the hotel from the train station, you should be careful of the 'dangerous' people in the street. This is the only dissatisfaction that I have. Room was also clean and there were no bed bugs. If I have chance to visit Germany again, I will surely stay there again.

Convenient location! A block from Teresianweise. Two Ubahn stops nearby and only one stop from Hauptbahnhof. Quiet hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Nice breakfast. Laundromat nearby. Friendly staff.||Our TV and hairdryer did not work but was not a big deal for us.||This is a European style hotel with small rooms and small but private bathrooms. That is not a complaint, but Americans should keep this in mind and adjust expectations. We were happy with our choice of this Rick Steve’s recommended hotel.

A former residence, the Uhland is a very nice hotel. ||Having stayed in mid-July, the temperature was in the upper 70s and low 80s (21-26C). That made for a very warm room given the lack of AC, and while we did have fans, we were on the first floor – easily accessible from outside.||The room itself was nice and we did have a comfortable closed-in porch which we used every night. The only other callout I could make on the room is in regards to the bathroom – very cramped, so much so that one could not close the door while standing in front of the sink or toilet. (I had a friend staying in another room and did not have this issue.)||All of the staff we dealt with were great, and all spoke English well if that’s’ a consideration.||The hotel does not have a restaurant, per se, but does offer a very nice continental breakfast. There are plenty of good restaurants in walking distance come lunch or dinner time.||Unless you’re up for a bit of a hike, I would not consider Uhland a walk from the train station – we did when we got in (thinking it might be closer) but opted for an Uber when we left.

Although some parts of the hotel (ie bathroom are outdated) we absolutely loved our stay here. |Christine (who was on duty manager when we arrived) was just delightful. |So accommodating and helpful. She provided maps, vouchers and genuinely wanted you to enjoy your time. She was like this with every guest. |Perfect location too and terrific breakfast

Yelp
We spent a night in room # 11 last week. It's small but we knew that as we've stayed in that room before and really spent very little time at the hotel other than sleeping. The bathroom is small -- beware of that. The room had an old (small) CRT old-style TV which was a bit surprising since I've read that some of the rooms have been recently renovated. Other than those two things we had no complaints about the room. Breakfast was great as usual although the coffee is kinda weak. All hotel staff we met were as always charming and pleasant. While Uhland is a bit far from the centrum of Munich with bikes (which we brought) get you into town quickly. Free parking and the lack of hustle and bustle of the surrounding neighborhood make this hotel our go-to place for Munich.

Yelp
Clean, quiet, with great breakfast. A very nice staff that manages the desk 24 hours a day. The hotel is located very close to the Oktoberfest grounds if you're in Munich for that. A little bit of a walk to the historic town center, but if the weathers nice and you don't mind a little trudge, go for it. Otherwise, the nearest train station is next to the Oktoberfest grounds.

Yelp
I have stayed at this Hotel twice. Both times on different trips to Germany. The last one in 2006 when a group of 5 friends and I went to the World Cup to watch Costa Rica play Germany. Both times the place was amazing. Clean, great breakfast which included nice types of breads, cheeses, and even NUTELLA. It is very near the train station. The owner always talkative and friendly. She had a cute little female dog I remember. great place to stay, clean, fair price and AMAZING BREAKFAST.

Yelp
We invaded Hotel Uhland this past June; my wife and I, our two daughters, their husbands and four grand children and with such a large group we had some reservations! Our concerns were unfounded. The staff there really "get it" they make you feel like part of the family. Andrea, Maria and Nate really make the quests feel welcome. Nate could/should have been a stand-up comic. The location is very good, walking distance from the Haupt Bahnhof and the October fest grounds. The Old town center is about a 20 minute walk, or if you wish there is a U-Bahn station five minutes from the hotel. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious by German standards. And the breakfast!!!! To many choices to mention, impossible not to get a good breakfast that can double as lunch. There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms but the signal is strong in the lounge on the first floor. The bottom line, Hotel Uhland is a great value for your travel dollar! When we return to Munich we will stay in Hotel Uhland again.
