We loved our family stay. The hotel was recently renovated, is located on a quiet street 20 minutes from Marienplatz, very close to a major park where you can go running or playing with kids, and the nearby bus stop proved super convenient once we learned about the public transport system (which was very easy to navigate through the website). The buffet breakfast included in the price was very generous. The AC system was able to handle the heat wave that hit Europe during our stay. Overall, this family owned hotel provided us with an incredible value for the moderate price.

The Hotel Uhland was excellent! The staff was so kind and helpful and they were accommodating of our late check in. It’s in a great quiet location walking distance from the train station (about 15 minutes w luggage and kids) and it’s an easy walk into Old Town Munich (about 10-15 minutes). You can walk across the fair grounds area to Bavaria park and there’s a lovely traditional German restaurant there. We had a double deluxe and it was very spacious for two adults and two teenagers. All very nice and updated, beautiful bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent, lots of choices and local specialties to try and coffee made to order. We loved our stay here!!!

We had an excellent 3 night stay at Hotel Uhland. The service was outstanding, everyone so kind and helpful. The room was beautiful and spacious especially for a family of four in one room. Lots of thoughtful touches like slippers and a robe and the nespresso machine hit the spot! The breakfast was great, filling and varied. The hotel’s location was great, just outside the old town and walking distance to the train station but quiet and peaceful. We loved it

A complete and total gem! We booked a family room for one night but ended up staying two due to an emergency and rerouted trains. Quiet street with beautiful historic buildings, short 5-minute walk to Theresienwiese subway station, 15-minute walk to main train station Munich HB. Superior decor, comfortable bedding, AC that works and is quiet! Terrific breakfast and lovely, friendly staff. Five stars all the way around from us.

Excellent hotel on a quiet street even though close to the train station and the historical city center. Post renovation, the facilities and rooms are very well designed and welcoming. The staff was helpful and the included breakfast quite good. Just the reception is not 24hours and there is no food or bar service besides breakfast. There is parking (limited, for a feee) on premise. I highly recommend the Hotel Uhland. it is unique and truly enjoyable.

A nice and small hotel close to the old city Munich. The rooms are fine and large enough, the location is convenient. There are various café and restaurants nearby, the old city is 20 min away walking. There is a limited parking in the hotel itself, cheaper than a long-term street parking, but still expensive.

Beautifully renovated villa in a quiet yet central location. This hotel has been tastefully renovated with excellent attention to detail. After a long day of travel it was like a home from home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even arranged breakfast earlier than normal as we had an early flight. The breakfast itself had a lovely selection breads, cheeses, meats, cereals etc. The rooms have loads of character and the beds are super comfortable. The location suited us as we wanted somewhere quiet but also relatively close to the town center. The underground was only around the corner and 2 stops from the center. We would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We spent a night in room # 11 last week. It's small but we knew that as we've stayed in that room before and really spent very little time at the hotel other than sleeping. The bathroom is small -- beware of that. The room had an old (small) CRT old-style TV which was a bit surprising since I've read that some of the rooms have been recently renovated. Other than those two things we had no complaints about the room. Breakfast was great as usual although the coffee is kinda weak. All hotel staff we met were as always charming and pleasant. While Uhland is a bit far from the centrum of Munich with bikes (which we brought) get you into town quickly. Free parking and the lack of hustle and bustle of the surrounding neighborhood make this hotel our go-to place for Munich.

Yelp
Clean, quiet, with great breakfast. A very nice staff that manages the desk 24 hours a day. The hotel is located very close to the Oktoberfest grounds if you're in Munich for that. A little bit of a walk to the historic town center, but if the weathers nice and you don't mind a little trudge, go for it. Otherwise, the nearest train station is next to the Oktoberfest grounds.

Yelp
I have stayed at this Hotel twice. Both times on different trips to Germany. The last one in 2006 when a group of 5 friends and I went to the World Cup to watch Costa Rica play Germany. Both times the place was amazing. Clean, great breakfast which included nice types of breads, cheeses, and even NUTELLA. It is very near the train station. The owner always talkative and friendly. She had a cute little female dog I remember. great place to stay, clean, fair price and AMAZING BREAKFAST.

Yelp
We invaded Hotel Uhland this past June; my wife and I, our two daughters, their husbands and four grand children and with such a large group we had some reservations! Our concerns were unfounded. The staff there really "get it" they make you feel like part of the family. Andrea, Maria and Nate really make the quests feel welcome. Nate could/should have been a stand-up comic. The location is very good, walking distance from the Haupt Bahnhof and the October fest grounds. The Old town center is about a 20 minute walk, or if you wish there is a U-Bahn station five minutes from the hotel. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious by German standards. And the breakfast!!!! To many choices to mention, impossible not to get a good breakfast that can double as lunch. There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms but the signal is strong in the lounge on the first floor. The bottom line, Hotel Uhland is a great value for your travel dollar! When we return to Munich we will stay in Hotel Uhland again.
