This was our third visit to Hotel Ulisse, having also stayed there in 2016 and 2019. As we enjoyed ourselves a lot during those visits we decided to come back again.||The hotel has already renovated some rooms, and our room was one of the newly updated ones. Our room had a balcony with a very beautiful view towards Castello Aragonese. As a new feature room also had air conditioning, which was easy to adjust. There was also a big screen Smart TV which made it possible to watch streaming services. Housekeeping was smooth and efficient.||We recommend the half-board option for dinner at the hotel. The restaurant offers a good combination of traditional Italian cuisine and provides multiple choices for each evening. ||The pool area is beautifully maintained and has now much better sun loungers. The pool menu offers a larger variety of choices than before, so you will not get hungry while relaxing there.||Overall, the staff is very friendly and helpful, making Hotel Ulisse easy to recommend. We look forward to returning in a couple of years!

We stayed at Hotel Ulisse after taking a ferry from Naples to the island of Ischia. Hotel Ulisse is about mid-way from the Marina to the Castello. I liked the hotel because it is on a side street away from crowds, and it is a stone's through from the beaches. There are public and beach clubs nearby.||This is a smaller hotel with nice amenities. It is clean inside with a nice reception area, and a bar across from the lobby. There is a beautiful pool on the lower floor. And there is a breakfast room which is of good size. The breakfast is included and had a good variety of hot and cold breakfast items. The breakfast staff were very attentive.|Check-in was fast and efficient. The staff were very nice and spoke English. The room was a bit on the smaller size, though we had an amazing view of the Castello Argonese. Really the view at night was impressive. Yes, the bathroom is small though has all you could want. There is balcony with seating so you can enjoy a drink and take in the lovely views.|We only were in Ischia for a day and night, though wished we had stayed longer. People were so nice, and there is so much to do. We will be back.

A nice well situated hotel. Very close to the beach and restaurants and shops. The issue is the single rooms. Bed was ridiculously narrow and there was a constant sewerage smell from the bathroom. The pool area is completely inaccessible for anyone with mobility issues. That said the breakfast was good value but same every day. Staff are lovely. Would stay there again but I'd book a double room as a single purely for comfort.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Felt truly like home. Very warm and professional staff. They went out of their way to help us. We had to arrive in Ischia a day earlier than planned and they had no triple rooms, so they gave us two rooms instead to accommodate the 3 of us, for a price of one room. Really good breakfast and a good deal overall. Highly recommended!

Sadly it was very expensive for a poorly sized room and tiny bathroom. We stayed in one of the ‘sea view’ rooms. The views were lovely, however the room was poor for the price being charged. The shower constantly flooded as it was surrounded by half shower door / half curtain. Location is good and breakfast was nice. Lovely pool and nice snack bar

Such a lovely hotel: spotless and comfortable rooms; fabulous pool area with bar; friendly staff and a perfect location within easy walking distance of lots of shops, bars and restaurants. We felt like we were experiencing ‘real’ Italy here and will definitely be returning.

Tiny room but very clean. Good linens and water pressure. Beautiful view. Concierge extremely difficult to communicate with. Not a great welcome when you cannot understand a word the guy says no matter what language. A little pricey for what they offer. Wonderful breakfast.

Very poor standard for the price of €280 per night. Room was very small and bathroom was tiny. Shower was a shower head on the wall in the corner of the room with half a shower door and half a shower curtain. The bathroom got soaked when you showered with water pouring out onto the floor. We asked for fresh towels at reception as the towels were soaked from cleaning the floor. Staff dropped up fresh towels when we were out, left them sitting in the bidet and turned up our air conditioning in the room from 19 degrees to 25 degrees when it was very warm outside. It was upsetting to come back to the room quite warm. ||Breakfast was very standard and lack of atmosphere in breakfast room and unfriendly staff. ||Pool is nice with a nice snack bar. €4 to rent towel at the pool.
