We would give this place more stars if we could! The room was amazing! With heated floors in the bathroom and hotel robes and slippers to use. We loved the pools and the views from the sauna. Highly recommend taking a dip in the fjord and doing a cider tour as you explore the area. Breakfast was delicious and had so many options.

Very good location facing the fjord Pools are indoor and outdoors, always facing the sea. Our room experience was a bit mixed as we had a view but the way the room is designed, there was a balcony with an overhang roof and walls... so we barely see the fjord. No so great for a room with view! All rooms do not seem to be like this one when looking from outside. Food is average. Also we asked for a breakfast to go as we were going to start early to hike trolltunga. It was basically a piece of bread with spread on it. Do not order the lunch to go as it is the same thing. Parking can be very tight. Be aware that they have no pay machine so make sure to have the app. Our registration plate did not get scanned properly so it became a nightmare to pay for the parking.

The hotel is very comfortable and the views are hard to find anywhere else. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The best part is food: we had breakfast and dinner included and it’s one of the best we ever had in any hotel. There are plenty of amenities for swimming and exploring: an extraordinary pool, boats, hiking trails all around. Great value for a very cool vacation place!

The location is very convenient for ferry and shuttle bus rides. Room is decent and clean, reception is nice, and beautiful surroundings.||||Dinner food is very disappointing. Buffett is so so, good variety, ok taste, but hardly any hot cooked items and gave big after-meal thirst probably from synthetic flavors. A la carte dinner is the worst ever from any hotels, let alone a four star one: undercooked burger and can food like fish soup.

I see this hotel as more of a resort. Lovely rooms, unbeatable views, exceptional service. Very large and tasty breakfast buffet is included with the room. We also included the dinner buffet with our stay. It too was great. Their pool is very different with indoor and outdoor options. You have two areas to enter the fjord to swim. In front of the hotel and way to the enf a nice little beach.

Rooms were ok but views and property were great. The food was meh. The amenities were the best part. Good hiking right out the door of the hotel as well as several cider tasting rooms within walking distance. If you go definitely get the fjord side the views are great and there are little patios.

Absolutely amazing spot right on the fjord - one of the best hotel locations in Norway. Staff was exceptional. Food was delicious, especially the included breakfast buffet. Workout room of high quality for a hotel. And we definitely enjoyed the pools during one of Norway’s warmest summers. Rooms are a bit dated, but were clean. This worked for our family of two adults and four children. We would stay here again!

This is, with the exception of the pool facilities which are excellent (although the hot tub was lukewarm at best), unfortunately a hotel that has clearly seen better days. Very short-staffed, with small, tired rooms that are misleadingly advertised (our “superior room with fjord view” was small and had its view almost completely occluded by the eaves of the hotel’s roof). There were also some small but unforgivable oversights - for example, the provided shower gel and shampoo were empty. The dinner buffet was also very expensive. Overall, this hotel is in a good location but is overpriced and not anywhere near as nice as the photos.

Yelp
If you are traveling and jet-lagged and need some coffee early in the morning, don't expect to find any here.  It is not available in your room and not available in the lobby and not available anywhere nearby.  You'll have wait until 7:00 AM when the restaurant opens.  That being said, everything else about the hotel is perfection: the room, the interior decor, the Fjord views, the service, the food- perfection.   You'll enjoy your stay here.  Just be sure to sleep in late if you like coffee. (If you're not a coffee drinker, they will bring you hot chocolate @ your table for your to-go container, and you'll be happy as a clam!) Oh, there is one tiny negative: the toilet paper, you'll come nose to nose!
