Hotel Unicus (Krakow, Poland) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"A stylish boutique hotel converted from a row of old tenement houses. Well-appointed bedrooms range in colour from green to gold and boast state-of-the-art shower rooms; the Double Deluxes, overlooking Florianska Street, are the best. The bright, barrel-ceilinged basement restaurant serves a modern menu." - Tablet Hotels

Google
For our first visit to krakow the location was perfect ,5 min and you in the main square with easy access to restaurants, bars and of course the xmas market .the staff in the hotel were brilliant from start to Finnish, breakfast was amazing the spread they put on was fantastic (don't expect full English your in poland )I certainly didn't go hungry. Rooms are great with little if any noise and we both slept well .lots of places to visit and all within walking distance so enjoy

The location was very good. Right in the very heart of Kraków, with all the main attractions, restaurants, and cafes just a short walk away. It made exploring the city very easy and enjoyable. The staff deserves special recognition. From check-in to check-out the service was truly outstanding. Everyone was professional, friendly, and always ready to help with recommendations or any requests. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made the stay even more pleasant.

Lovely first visit to Krakow. Arrived at Hotel Unicus around lunchtime to be surprised that our room was ready. A lovely, large twin room, as requested on the top floor. Beds were really comfortable, the room and gorgeous refurbished bathroom were spotlessly clean. Daily room service throughout our stay. The furniture in the room is definitely dated, and with that change, I'd have given a 5 star review. ||All staff we encountered were professional and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful, although the breakfast room was quite snug. ||On one of our 3 nights, there was some outside street noise, but nothing more than revellers having fun. ||I'd stay here again, perfectly placed in the beautiful old town.

Super practical location and friendly staff made the stay comfortable.|Beeing in the old city, the location is really a positive point to go out and back easily. the way to the railway station is easy and was about 10 minutes walk.|Even if I had a single bed room, it was nicely arranged and I could have good and restful nights.|I could not experience breakfast because the restaurant was under renovation (option offered on a very close Hotel). There are also many restaurants around the hotel for the other moments of the day.

We had a lovely large room on first floor. Some noise, however it is a central location so some at night is to be expected. It didnt keep us awake. Breakfast was lovely, can get fresh omelets, scrambled eggs, french toast and toasted brioche with fresh fruit and jams. Also have continental breakfast alongside. Only thing is that while the breakfast room looks lovely it is small. On two mornings we left and came back just to get a lower seat (i cant sit on a higher bar seat) we didnt mind too much, long breakfast times from 7-10.30. Staff lovely, rooms clean. Very good location. They leave fresh fruit out by the door everday if you want some, thought this was nice.

3 nights here on city break booked through TUI. We had 2 rooms on the top (4th) floor. My sister and her husband had a reasonable room with modern(ish) furniture and a large king size bed. |However our room was awful. Old tatty furniture and a ¾ bed jammed into an alcove space with a tiny wardrobe that was almost inaccessible due to being next to bed. The wardrobe shelf had to serve as a bedside table because of lack of space. |The bathroom was more modern but also has warped wooden area round the washbasin. |We asked for different rooms but the hotel was full. They offered to put us in a different hotel but that would have split our party up. |We were given complimentary breakfasts for both rooms during the stay. We got the impression that the 4th floor is used as a last resort in busy periods. |The only reason this is not a 1 star review is the fantastic staff who tried to address our concerns.

Great hotel in the heart of Krakow! Very clean and comfortable, with a tasty breakfast offering plenty of options. The location is perfect for exploring the city, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. It would definitely be my first choice again if I visit Krakow in the future.

Google
Decent rooms, excellent cleanliness, and truly friendly staff. The real problem is the noise in the rooms, due to bells ringing at night, trumpets, and drunk Englishmen. The hotel is definitely aware of the problem; it's impossible not to hear. What I can recommend is installing double-glazed windows or less expensive ones. Otherwise, it's a good hotel, but rest is the first service we should provide to a guest.

Yelp
Simply horrible. No housekeeping, fresh towels, bottled water or toilet paper. Hotel desk clerk, who shall remain nameless (I know his name but wish to shame him no more, as he may well be shamelss) tried to blame us and say we left the DND sign on. To put it mildly, this statement was untrue. I guess he is unhappy with his job. Vodka bottle in minibar was obviously unsealed and filled with water. Dingy room with noise from night club across the street until 4 AM. IKEA furniture. No glasses, pencils or soap, other than empty dispenser in shower. Intermittent internet with dial up speeds. No waiters in breakfast room. Four stars? Perhaps in Soviet times. Any response from management is likely to be insincere.

Yelp
This hotel has great reviews on trip advisor. I would actually give this 3.5 stars for this stay. Minus half a star because my "non smoking" room smells vaguely of old smoke and the bathroom is slighty musty because there is no ventilation system or window to open. I have relatively positive review. The location is good only a few minutes from the main square, but its right across the street from a gentle men's club. Some of the tripadvisor reviews noted the noise from the club, but I found it to be muted. I got a single room. It's a good size in comparison to other European hotels I have stayed at. The room looks faily clean and the bathrooms are surprisingly very modern. The faucets are so stylishly modern that it took me several minutes to determine how to turn it on. There is also a mini bar in the room. I think it's a bit odd that there is no sheet on the bed separating you from the duvet, but maybe that's common in Poland? There's free wireless, but it becomes very slow when people start logging in. They also have been having issues with the router recognizing iPhones. I was able to get wireless last night, but have been unable to this morning. The gym is extremely small. One elliptical and one cycle. The concierge did recommend running outside in the green areas of the city. He said it was fairly safe. The staff speaks English, but the front desk doesn't keep electrical converters- just some phone chargers. Breakfast is tasty, but not entirely sure it's worth 50pl.

Yelp
The Unicus hotel is the hotel where i stay on a regular basis in Krakow whilst working there. Comfortable rooms, nicely designed, clean and goood shower is all i looking for in a hotel. Oeps i forgot to say also good wroking Free internet acces. Breakfast is superb, table of all kinds of bread, salads, sweet, meat, salmon etc. Coffee as you want it, for me nice double espresso to wake up :). One can order eggs any style or smoothies.. For me the energy smoothie is allways a great start of the day :). Last but not least is the great service of the people working in the hotel. All deserve a compliment for the way they serve the customers !! I recommend this hotel as long as there is allways a room available for me :) I can say this is not allways the case nowadays. Arggggh.

Yelp
5 star digs at 3 star price. Start with that. Location, right near the center of old town, surrounded by food and drink and nice shops. Heated bathroom floors, nice sized shower, clean as a whistle. Wonderful room, lots of space, storage, well decorated and appointed. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, made one feel welcomed. Breakfast staff were smiling and welcoming and always right near if you wanted something. The breakfast offerings, everything you could ask for, and don't hesitate to ask. They want you happy and satisfied and will work to that result. Enjoy!
