Hotel University

Great location in the heart of Bologna. A lot of choices for cafe, lunch or bars nearby. Even though there is a lot of nightlight in the area, we weren’t bothered from noises. The staff was exceptional, both the guys in the reception and the ladies preparing the breakfast. They were assistive whenever we needed them.The breakfast was very good for a 3 star hotel. The parking facility was very convenient (just opposite the hotel entrance) and for a reasonable price. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Highly recommended!

Good enough. The rooms a quite basic and somewhat dated. That said, it is clean and our bed was comfortable. Location is quite okay but quite a walk to central station.

They didn't send an email or a reminder about my reservation. Instead, I get an invoice the next day. Sorry, we missed you. We are billing you for the full amount. Lousy service. Typically, Hotels email or call. Never again.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The cleanliness was impeccable—everything from the lobby to the rooms was spotless and well-maintained. Housekeeping did an excellent job ensuring the space was fresh and tidy every day.||The location was another highlight. It was conveniently situated near major attractions, restaurants, and public transport, making it easy to explore the area. Despite being centrally located, the hotel was quiet and provided a peaceful atmosphere for a good night’s sleep.||I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean and conveniently located place to stay. Hotel is located in center of Bologna. You can easily walk to the center. Rooms are nice and clean. Service and check in/out is very nice and polite. Breakfast is ok. One thing is not that good, you hear everything in your room. ( noise from other rooms, water flushing from other rooms etc .. ) Tips to improve; • smell of humidity in breakfast room ( basement ) • Bacon at breakfast • Hearing in room

We stayed at Hotel University for four nights and just couldn't have picked a better place for our trip to Bologna. The hotel's location is great - perfectly situated between the university quarter and the historic center. Everything in Bologna seemed to be a mere 10 minute walk maximum from it. Despite sharing a street with some busy restaurants and bar, the rooms were very quiet. The air conditioning was also great, especially with how hot Bologna is in the summer. The rooms were not the most luxurious but they were very clean and comfortable. The hotel's front desk concierge were just a delight to stay with. They were so warm and helpful with anything we needed. They really went above any beyond - from recommending restaurants, arranging transport for a day trip, and always greeting us with a smile. Just great, honest, and pleasant people. ||Bologna in general is a great city, seemingly untouched by the mass tourism you find in other parts of Italy, and Hotel University made our visit that much more enjoyable. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good mid range hotel in a good location.

I recently stayed at hotel university, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel is perfectly located, within walking distance of many key attractions, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. I would highly recommend it not only for its excellent amenities and prime location but especially for the dedicated and caring staff who make the experience truly exceptional.

Excellent choice!!! Clean rooms and renovated bathrooms!!! Right in the center of Bologna, a few meters from all the sights!!! The staff was helpful and willing to guide us through all our steps. The hotel parking was just what we needed, as we were in the middle of our roadtrip. The approach by car to the hotel is outside the ZTL zone. Do not hesitate to ask the staff for additional information

This is a basic hotel but the location is pretty good. It's a 15 minute walk from the train station and about 5 minutes the other way to the two towers. Although it advertises that it's a three star hotel it's a bit of faded glory. We had a triple room which was crammed, the shower was rustic, and the water in the bathroom smelled. We were on the third floor and the wifi was incredibly slow and couldn't send photos let alone watch anything on Netflix to wind down at the end of the evening. On the weekend it was pretty noisy outside too. The breakfast is ok and the staff were friendly. Our stay was fine but not great.
