My fiancée and I stayed here for 3 nights here. It was absolutely great! We stayed in the room with our own terrace (which we didn't get to use much because of the heatwave that was ongoing in that moment). The best thing about this hotel is the location and the quietness, by far.
NO NOISE: Barely any car traffic here, no loud neighbours, and the Pedralbes district, where this hotel is located, is also an upscale, rich and quiet neighbourhood. And since this is a small, rather upscale business hotel - and therefore ill-suited for families - there were literally no pesky kids running about and screaming, which was very pleasant for us and allowed us to fully enjoy the experience here.
TRANSPORT: The hotel is also very well connected with the public transport systems - the metro (L3 line) and tram station Maria Cristina is a 7-minute walk away, which you can take to get to the city centre, or less than 5 minutes walking distance is a bus stop, where you can hop on the bus line 6, which will take you all the way to the beach. To reach the hotel from the airport was very simple - get on the L1 metro at the airport, go all the way to Zona Universitaria, and change there to the L3 line and ride the metro two more stations to Maria Cristina, and you're basically there. Also worth mentioning - at Zona Universitaria, which is also close, there is also the stop for the buses that go to Andorra (Andbus line), which we actually went to for our next destination.
BREAKFAST: Delicious. When you book the hotel, highly recommended to book it with breakfast included (costs otherwise 18€ per person), as breakfast is served a la carte - no buffet. They have 3 breakfast "sets" (continental, mediterranean or American), or you can order single items from the menu. If you booked to have breakfast included, then you can mix and match whatever you want up to the sum of 18€ if you don't want one of the 3 sets (you'd have to pay for anything going over 18€, though). As for the food itself, fresh ingredients of high quality, and lots of things are homemade (like the bread). I tasted one of the best croissants in my life here. Service impeccable.
RECEPTION: The people working at the reception were super helpful. They solved any issue we encountered immediately. Especially Alexey - loved chatting with him, and he gave us a super helpful tip which beach to go to, how to get there, and even managed to acquire a beach umbrella for us to borrow (as there are no umbrella rentals on the Barcelona beaches). These guys here do amazing work!
ROOM: The room was good, medium size with a queen-size bed. Generally no issues and well-maintained. We also had our own private terrace. IF I had to nitpick, there were some areas that were a bit dirty, like the terrace walls/fence, the window rims from the outside, and some squished mosquitoes on the walls and ceiling from the guests that stayed before us. Also the TV has no Youtube or Netflix, so you're stuck watching regular TV channels, which most of them are in Spanish. But like I said, those are only nitpicks and didn't bother us at all. Just make sure to close the terrace door before evening and use the AC, otherwise mosquitoes WILL find their way in - I did that and had literally zero bites for the whole stay. :-)
CONCLUSION: Great hotel for singles, couples and business people, absolutely recommended. For families not recommended. The hotel restaurant is very good, public transport connection is great, location is great for shopping and eating, very quiet inside and outside, and the hotel staff is lovely. Will definitely come back here if we ever visit Barcelona again! :)
