If they change the matresses and pillows, and ALL the bedding it could be better, at least liveable.... I was there for several days in which when I got to the room I found the dirty sheets, I requested clean ones, which I changed,,, then I saw the mattress it was more than 20 years old, I know this because it had a written date of about 20 years ago, and maybe it was already used then!!! The blanket was filthy and the bed cover also, I throw them in the floor, I didn't even wanted to touch them... The next day the woman came to "clean" the room and throw the filthy blanket on top of the clean sheets! so I requested no cleaning service for the rest of my stay, I did my own cleaning, I didn't want this woman to move my clean sheets and throw the filthy blanket on the bed again! But now the positive finds, it has great location in downtown and parking included is next door. The front desk staff is very helpful.

This Hotel has an excellent location, you can walk to lots of interesting places from here, is in the middle of everything, Has parking included next door, BUT the worst part are the beds, the mattress in my room was more than 20 years old!! STAINED, DIRTY AND FILTHY... the pillows the same, all dirty and stained, totally disgusting, I had to put layers of clean sheets to be able to sleep there...The towel was dirty also, I requested it all clean and made my bed by myself since the woman that cleans the room throw the filthy blanket on top of my clean sheets and I had to change them all over again... I requested NO ROOM CLEANING for the rest of the 6 days stay, I did my own cleaning, so they wouldn't move the sheets... It is cold, no heather.. and noisy, there are a lot of clubs nearby so the music is laud untill about 3 AM ... The Front desk staff is very helpful and work with what they got, which is not much...But they try.. OWNERS NEED TO SPEND SOME MONEY IN NEW MATTRESSES AND PILLOWS, That is the most important thing in the room, the bed... Pictures coming up...

The floor was very dirty under the beds. There was no heater and we had to request extra blankets since it was very cold. No internet. No shower head in the shower. It was a double bed and the room only had one glass for water. No towels no soap. All of these had to be requested.

The price is cheap but you get what you pay for. Hotel has great location is “clean” but everything is very old, seems like has not been upgraded in decades

This place was fine for the price. Clean enough, spacious enough, comfortable enough...it got a lot more comfortable after they fixed our heater in our room (it was really cold before that!). Location was great. Staff were all friendly & helpful. As much free bottled water & coffee as you want. Wifi in the lobby, not in the rooms. Biggest problem? Hot water heater broke and we had no hot water for 2 days (2nd day, after it was apparently fixed but still heating up, was almost lukewarm, but not quite). If not for the lack of hot water, I'd have given it 4/5, but the lack of hot water really sucked. Ordinarily, though, I'm sure the hot water is fine and that it would be a great bargain option.

The hotel is okay, but old and without most of the modern amenities that create a "wow". The location just couldn't be better, with lots of historic sights, museums, great restaurants and shopping, all within a few blocks in any direction. I needed WiFi and it was good in our room, and in the lobby. Parking next door was a plus. Room was small but adequate.

Urdinola Hotel offered the perfect location for our stay in Saltillo. It was convenient to walk to both historic areas and shopping and I felt safe even when on my own. The hotel is charming and the staff is friendly and helpful. It was lovely to wake to the sound of birds in the courtyard.||The property is beautiful in design, though it is a little rough around the edges. The sheets and towels were well worn, the grounds and rooms were not as clean as they could be, the wifi didn't reach our room and sometimes didn't work in the lobby, and the plumbing is rustic. It felt more more of a good hostel than a hotel.||In spite of all of this, I am so happy we chose to stay at Urdinola Hotel and I definitely recommend it, just know that it is not as polished and perfected as a mainstream hotel.

The hotel is a real beauty with its Spanish colonial arches and storied past. It's terrifically centrally located for exploring the Centro of Saltillo, being within a minute of the cathedral and the music emanating from the plazas and Calle Padre Flores. My only reason for not giving it a higher mark is the lack of A/C, which made sleeping at night a bit uncomfortable. Even though the central courtyard could feel cool & pleasant, the room itself was while not unbearably hot, hot enough that you felt sweaty trying to sleep.

Yelp
Okay I am giving this place a low rating due to the ridiculous low standard in which the hotel is run. By no fault of the staff who allowed me to expect more of the facility without resistance. First we did arrived 2 hours early from the 3pm Check in, so we were told to return in 30 minutes. No problem. Upon return an hour later we are given a room and immediately were not happy with the door. There was a gaping crack upon closure that allowed you see the light and fan fixture enough. This would not do because at night Saltillo gets cold. So we were shown another room....almost a yes but no heater here and again my Father is from here we know nights get cold. The hotel clerk was genuinely hospitable and it's a shame for that I would love to give this place stars, but sadly it's not enough. We are shown another room and finally it's agreed this room has a heater and seems more agreeable. We went from first floor to third bi level. Coming to the room I had two towels from previos room and housekeeping immediately wanted them. There were three of us. On the this day I said no and kept the two towels in addition to the two in room. Next day comes and they clean room Leaving just 2 towels. Now according to housekeeping next day when I request one towel, management has a rule only 2 towels per room. What kind of Mickey Mouse joke is this! Two towels for three people. Whoever management is needs to reflect on what type of business they wish to run. This is poor hospitality. (I did get my towel, housekeeping was genuinely kind about it). Next the problems with room because we switched rooms I had to request the remote. You are only allowed ONE keycard per room, making it difficult to separate. Are room had no phone for local calls. The bathroom door was difficult to open and close due to very poor maintenance. The lighting is minimal at best, my father was not able to see when he shaved. Sad lamp situation broken, no switch, a electrical fire waiting to happen. Water filled jug in room only filled first day we came. We had a three day, two night stay and it was quiet an experience. The hotel itself is a gorgeous rustic hacienda, but for this day and age it really should have better upkeep. Oh and BIG one if you care about your sleep at least on Saturday night bring ear plugs. There was a band playing nearby and they played until the wee hours. I thankfully had my earplugs so I slept like a baby. We booked on Expedia and prices at the desk where less than what we paid online. I spoke to the clerk about this and he smiled, laughed and said booking online isn't cheaper. It's always best to just come in. The boss puts cheaper prices during low season. I could not believe this backward thinking that paying ahead of time and ensuring a space should cost more. I've never had this experience with advanced booking. He did not honor the difference in price, this also was disagreeable. Also there is very little space in most of the rooms here. Some good things to note that this place is very central downtown and it is close to the mercado, plaza de armas, la Alameda and fantastic shopping. The hotel is walking distance to all mentioned so if you don't have a vehicle but want the comfort of downtown being accessible then this place is good. I have no complaint about my bed and sheets, they weren't perfect but they were clean and comfortable. The shower though small also was good. It wasn't an uncomfortable experience and I did feel clean. The feel of the old time hacienda is of a rural elegance. In closing If you are cool with rustic, minimal maintenance and don't mind sharing towels this is the place for you.
