Our normal go to resort in Amed was booked out so I thought this looked ok.My husband and I as well as 2 friends stayed in 3 beach front rooms. We were pleasantly surprised with with reception getting early check in and service. The grounds were lovely as were the 2 pools that were very clean. One being beach front. The room was a little stale smelling at first but I asked if ours could be sprayed with something nice and it was immediately. It was then fine.Room a little dated but fine with us, and what I really liked was the bed and pillow comfort and clean linen. We had a driver so we're fine to get around as you are out of the main area. So a bike handy.Swimming out front in the sea was very nice and water crystal clear. If your not used to back sand beaches people tend to think it's dirty lols. And we all actually love the boats parked up on the beach.

Stayed for 4 nights. Location is perfectly settled on the beach. Drinks and food from resto was nice. Staff very very friendly and serviceminded all over. Pool nice. ||Maybe to few sunbeds? 6 beds for 11 rooms. But space also limited. ||Live music 2 of 4 nights, nice but 3 hour sets may be 1 hour to long, they lost their audience underways. ||Rooms could be cleaner, I droppes something and looked under the beds…. Lots of dust.||But all in all , budget friendly and a good experience.

Hotel Uyah is one of my favourite hotels in Bali!! I have been staying at Uyah yearly for 14 years now and still keep coming back to the friendly smiling staff who greet you by your name!! Lovely location on the beach with two pools and great traditional rooms! Breakfast is one of the best on the island!! The beach in front is black sand and pebbles so bring your reef walkers! Water is crystal clear and the view of Agung amazing!

Bed and air conditioning worked great but the showers had no pressure and I couldn't really wash off the day's activities. There are also a lot of mosquitos but the beds had mosquito nets so you can sleep without fear of being bitten.

Stayed in a room that overlooked the pool and beach. |Room clean and comfortable. Nic and staff were amazing and so supportive and helpful when my husband was poorly. |Food tasty and reasonably priced.|Air conditioning was a godsend.|We stayed here for 2 weeks. Would stay here again like a shot as in less developed part of Bali and not jam-packed full of tourists.

This was our third stay at Hotel Uyah. The resort is spacious and comfortable and the staff are wonderful. A great base for scuba diving around the Amed - Tulamben area. Amed Dive Centre operates from the resort. A great relaxed vibe for our diving holiday.

Amed Beach Resort is well located and situated right as you come in on the drive into Amed on the Beach front. We had a pool side room with ocean view. Rooms are clean, but aged. Its a little hard to find the Resort you park on main road and walk down a long alleyway to the resort. Has a great restaurant on site called Teatro Bar and Restaurant which served really good food at incredibly cheap prices. Staff are so friendly and helpful. They can organise your tours. We went in an outrigger with a local fisherman to 3 snorkle spots - swim with Turtles then to the Japanese Wreck and then the Temple Beach - Temple beach my favourite because of all the coral and easy snorkling. We paid $25 each for about 4 hours - even if you don't snorkle so worth getting in one of these boats and travelling along the coast - the scenic peaceful boat ride is so worth it. Our Fisherman didn't speak much English and we don't speak Balinese but we all got along just fine. Amed has black sand and pebble beaches as it is near the Volcano. It is more rural and laid back than other parts of Bali. There are lots of great small restaurants in Amed to choose from. We swam in the ocean it is clean and clear water.
