We stopped here for Lunch in Garam Cafe which is part of the hotel.
We viewed the rooms, very nice, clean and well appointed however we didn't stay.
Lunch was served at the beach front lawned area.
For starters, we shared Gado Gado, followed by 2 mains: (1) Olio Aglio with King Prawns, the spaghetti aldente and the prawns were cooked beautifully (1) Sumatran Beef Curry, again beautifully cooked, not chewy and moist. For dessert we had Banana Nuggets and Lemon Crepes, both sadly a bit of a let down.
The price was reasonable, that is until they added govt tax (standard 11%) and the service charge (higher than anywhere else we have been at 11%) and then to pay by card add another 3% of the total bill (we paid on visa- savings debit, NOT our Credit option, and got slugged 3%, there should have been no card surcharge for this). A total added combined charge of 25% (approx 50k).
So to wrap it up, overall "just....ok". We wont be rushing back anytime soon.
