Classical soviet styled hotel. Once you see in movies. Architecture is great. Rooms are quite old. Historical one may say. The heater, the plugs, the racks and all. Bed is average. Service is low. You have to lift luggage by own. Breakfast spread is too low. Better to avoid if you are looking for luxury.

it was pretty terrible . the check in was great but they made us wait for an hourbefore putting us into a room. and when they did, it was an awful and disgusting room with a barely functioning bathroom and stains on everything (floor 9) and there was this strange and strong smell of chlorine in the hallways. we complained and got another room which was better the the last but still terrible for a 4 star hotel. the free breakfast buffet was nice and appealing but not for everyone's taste and cuisine. there is also a luxury restaurant on the top of the building with a bar. the food there is good but not for everyone's taste as previously said. besides that, the rooms have a key card to enter and exit. the hotel staff are very nice and patient (from my eyes). also, there's not even hot water from the bathroom, it's semi-mild to warm and they don't have any Muslim Showers or bidets in any of the restrooms.

We visited a stunning hotel in Uzbekistan that offered plenty of Instagram-worthy photo opportunities. The hotel was large, with numerous rooms, and we enjoyed a relaxing coffee inside. The staff were attentive, though their English was limited, which was perfectly fine. We loved the views from the hotel, and its proximity to several popular tourist spots made it even more convenient.

This is a good hotel. Staff were polite. Breakfast here is absolutely amazing. There is a metro station in front of this hotel, which is convenient for late arrivals. I received a discount as I extended my stay. I was pleased that I stayed here. I strongly recommend this hotel. Yet, your cleaning ladies need to be supervised. I would definitely return to this hotel.

This hotel is certainly an interesting experience. If you’re seeking comfort and modern amenities, Tashkent offers many more suitable options. However, I chose this hotel for its character, as the rooms (at least the unrenovated ones) preserve fascinating Soviet-era designs and artifacts, such as nightstands with buttons and switches whose functions remain a mystery. That said, the same room had outdated bathroom fixtures, a non-adjustable climate system, and an old mattress. On the positive side, the breakfast is excellent, the location is outstanding, the staff is generally helpful, and the views are impressive. A sidenote — the recently renovated lobby feels out of place, as the management opted for a "dark lounge" aesthetic reminiscent of a cheap night club, detracting from the hotel’s unique space-age charm.

I did stay not expecting that much with the rooms. Very basic and a little run down, but very big with nice views. I stayed in a suite and an also a large room with a balcony, both were very big. The service was very good at reception. Helping me with many things. I was having trouble booking train tickets, one of the ladies booked the tickets with her credit card. I gave her the money and some extra. She was just as thankful. If you enjoy walking it’s in a real nice location to parks and historical landmarks etc. close to a metro station too.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable but could use a little TLC—some updates would really enhance the experience. One suggestion for management: adding clear instructions on how to operate the loo’s flushing mechanism. It’s a bit unusual, and some guidance would be helpful for guests unfamiliar with it. The top-floor bar offers stunning panoramic views of Tashkent, making it a great spot for unwinding and soaking in the cityscape. However, plan ahead for slow service; we waited over an hour and a half for our food, possibly due to a translation issue. Still, the views make it worth the visit. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise with its modern, tasty options, bringing a fresh touch to the stay. Overall, Hotel Uzbekistan may not be the most modern option, but it’s full of character and history—an experience for those who appreciate a bit of vintage charm. This has also been the first time I have had a queue when checking in at 2:30AM. They were experiencing a technical difficulty which caused the original prices about 6 parties had paid for to not be on the system so we were all waiting for it to work

This is the famous massive old Soviet hotel near the Timur statue. Time stood still for this hotel from the exterior design to the interior decorations. The hotel has a bar on the ground floor as well as the top floor. There also ATM and money exchangers on the first floor, rates seemed fair. It’s best to be at sunset to have a drink on the top floor and stare down at the city as the lights come on, very beautiful.
