"The Fizeaustraat branch, which opened in 2017, is Hotel V’s third location in the capital. It’s a little further afield, in the east’s developing district of Watergraafsmeer, but it’s only a 10-minute taxi ride from the canal ring and, in our opinion, is the standout of the trio. In-house designer Mirjam Espinosa has seamlessly blended a modish 1970s aesthetic into the boxy Piet Zanstra building and carefully chosen furnishings that echo the surrounding greenery."

The hotel is easy to reach within a bit more than 20 minutes from the city centre by metro and tram. The breakfast tasted quite good and we liked the à la carte system. However, our room was not as neat as we would have expected, the beautiful window front looked as if it had not been cleaned for a long time. Unfortunately, we were not convinced by the service either, the night receptionist was unable to answer our questions and arrangements made in advance by e-mail were not passed on. From our point of view, the hotel is not quite worth the price.

Our stay was okay, nice and clean- housekeeping staff did an excellent job. We had an early flight and the lovely lady at reception with dark hair managed to check us in early which was very appreciated, she also gave us a map and highlighted great spots to explore around Amsterdam which was a nice touch. However, upon check out the man was extremely rude- tutting and rolling his eyes as if we were a huge inconvenience which unfortunately put a huge damper on the experience, wouldn’t return.

Really enjoyed my stay. The staffs are very friendly and supportive, tried to satisfy all my needs. They also have a very beautiful restaurant which you can spend good time! The hotel is located in 10 mins walking distance from the closest train/metro station, surrounding by a few pretty walking/jogging trails.

Very nice hotel in a nice and quiet area of Amsterdam. Amsterdam Amstel Station is a few minutes walk. The restaurant was nice with lovely ambiance, music, and nice food. ||In my opinion, the pillows were not that great. The bed is very comfortable; however, the pillows are not. Even if they are big and fluffy, somehow, they were too hard, but I guess that is just a matter of personal taste.

Again, an excellent stay at this hotel. The beds are very comfy, the room has ample storage space, the staff is very nice. The only thing I don't like in this hotel is that the lights in the room are quite dim, even when you turn on all the lamps. Otherwise, everything is nice!

Happy with our stay at Hotel V Fizeaustraat. Short walk to Amstel Station which was definitely very convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was nice and our room was spacious and stylish. The hotel in general was quiet. The only thing I was slightly confused about was housekeeping. We kept putting the sign out requesting no housekeeping or towels (save their time and be eco-conscious but they kept coming anyway.) not a huge bother by any means but maybe it could be more clear about where to put the sign if we were putting it in the wrong place? Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for the nice accommodations.

amazing rooms with incredibly spacious ceilings. The amenities are great, and i even ended up buying the soap they stocked at the hotel. 10/10, will be coming back here again soon

Just got back from 3 nights here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is plush, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the location is perfect for a quiet stay. We loved the outside area for meals and drinks in the sun. The cost of the beer is typical with Amsterdam, which is quite expensive, but good quality. The room was air-conditioned, spacious and modern, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The walk in waterfall shower was exceptional. Close to the bus/ Metro/ Train Station (200 metres) and in the station is a supermarket, Burger King and many other convenience shops. Outside the station is a McDonald's and another burger restaurant. |Amsterdam Centraal is only 8 mins away on the Metro, which takes you directly into the main areas and canals. |So, the passport control at Schiphol Airport was draining, as it took us about an hour and 15 mins to get through this. Mainly due to UK passengers not being in the EU anymore, so had to queue up with hundreds of other passengers and be served manually instead of the automated machines. Once outside, we ordered an Uber to take us to the hotel, which should've taken about 25 mins, but it didn't due to three lanes being closed on the main road. This also inflated the price of the Uber to 70 Euros, and we had to wait over 90 minutes for it to arrive! It took us about 4 hours from landing to get to the hotel. |We had an early return flight, so we decided to use public transport from the hotel. A 200 metre walk to the train station, Metro (underground) to Amsterdam Centraal (8 mins & about 2 Euros), then a train to Schiphol Airport (15 mins and about 5 Euros). |Knowing what we know now, we will never use Uber for this journey. |We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Yelp
About a 10 minute walk from the train station, it was a beautiful stay. they helped arrange a surprise for the birthday of a travel companion complete with a bottle of cava. the facility, rooms, etc were excellent. a lot of natural light in the rooms, a marshall speaker, water, snacks. we had breakfast there and it was really good as well. i loved this place.

Yelp
"Picture them leather seats...picture them good eats... picture that French Toast that's for free" "You know Dean I travel for holidays, shiet I'm Hotel V eatin'that hollandaise" 5 stars all the way! Having inspired several new song lyrics, Hotel V Fizeaustraat was by far the best hotel experience I've ever had. I repeat, Hotel V was BY FAR the best hotel experience I've ever had! I loved everything about this property and the people who run it. Located a really short distance (7 minute walk) from Amstel station, THIS HOTEL ROCKS!! Luckily for us, the hotel recommended us to purchase 5 day metro passes directly at the hotel. This was the best option as these passes ensure a quick ride to Amsterdam Central station (about 4 stops from Amstel Station). The property itself is beautiful and has a very hip restaurant that was filled with dressy patrons every evening. Hotel check-in was very pleasant and since we were early, the front desk held our bags until we were allowed to check-in. The room: Nicely sized and came with all the amenities...free waters...free movies...bath robes with slippers, everything! As frequently mentioned on any of the hotel review sites, the Hotel V included a la carte breakfast was nothing short of AMAZING! Full service breakfast included a hot and cold beverage of your choice, as well as one savory and one sweet entree. First off everything you're going to receive is top notch... picture your favorite coffeeshop's best Barista preparing your swan-laden latte! I highly recommend the "best I've ever had" French toast and the eggs Benedict...holy moly, you cannot be disappointed with this beautiful candle-lit meal. The croque madame was also absolutely amazing. The staff was also super friendly and performed every task with a smile. They even gave us a number of recommendations that helped make our trip memorable. I dream of coming back to this hotel and enjoying their breakfast again. One employee particularly stood out so I wanted to contact the manager to let them know. As it turned out, he was actually the manager! Way to lead by example! Huuuuuuge huuuuuuge thank you to the team here at Hotel V! You really made our stay a pleasant one. We cannot wait to come back!!!

Yelp
Horrible treatment for the staff I do not recommend, cold upon entry, tried to resolve a booking problem and they refused to fix the error costing me slot on money

Yelp
Reviewing for: Experience Location: This hotel was such a win! We reserved it with Hotwire (we did the hot rate hotels so we had no idea we would get this hotel) and it was absolutely GORGEOUS. My favorite thing was the fact that you get slippers. Travel: We were here for the weekend and had no problem getting to this location from AC. It was one train ride and a ~8 min walk which we didn't mind considering the money we saved by staying a bit further out. Amenities: 24/7 Concierge, Bar and restaurant (unsure what time they close, we didn't visit).

Yelp
I didn't have much choice in picking this place but I am so so very glad I did. I chose it out of a last minute need to find a comfortable place to stay when visiting Amsterdam for the first time. The map showed it to be a bit far from the canals and city center. However I walked everywhere I wanted to go from the hotel. The Amstel train station is a short beautiful walk away and they provide bicycles for the day if you need one. All of my concerns were matched with positive notes. The rooms are so comfortable and cozy. They have a hip design and it all fees very new. Pause for a second while I look up stats: OH surprise it has been open since 2013. They've maintained a quality ship now for 6 years. My room had a walk in shower with so much space (kind of rare for a European visit, especially in an AirBnB). Plenty of cabinet space for a single occupant. I'd say a couple would do fine here too. I'll try it with someone lucky one day ;) I would ask only for a slightly larger fridge but I was out and about more than having time to snack back in the pad. After some coffee shop visits I definitely took advantage of all the recent free Hollywood movies they provide hahaha. So clean as well!!! The restaurant is exactly how it's reputation sounds. It's delicioso! I've provided my one breakfast photo I snagged before my instincts kicked in and I made a messy fool of myself licking the hollandaise sauce off my face and slurping cappuccino. I recommend it at least once but it is very popular with the locals so call ahead for dinner. Last but absolutely not least: the staff are amazing. They are super friendly and incredibly helpful. I hadn't met anyone that seemed annoyed if I had a request at any time of the night. They recommended all sorts of activities and guided me to understand the city a little more. Thank you all of you read this. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Swank! Beautiful! Warm! I have traveled quite a bit in the last few years and this by far was the best hotel experience I've ever had! The employees were "chic-fil-a" friendly and the amenities were amazing! My stay came with the free breakfast that is/was a la carte...IT WAS AMAZING! And I love the fact that there wasn't tons of wasted buffet food being throw away. The body wash they provided in the bathroom and sell at the front desk was also amazing. I lifted a few bottles off the cleaning cart to bring home! The hotel was clean and beautifully decorated. I really could go on and on! I will be back! I booked my room on hotel.com and attached pic for price reference.

Yelp
I really dig this place! It's only a 10 min walk from the metro where you can take the train 4 stops into downtown!! So close to downtown via the metro. You get the best of both worlds! A clean and quiet hotel with a quality top-tier restaurant!! Breakfast at this hotel is included and absolutely DELICIOUS!! Rooms are modern and clean! The bathrooms are quite large and you are in Europe so those half glass shower doors are a thing. I don't get those things lol. I get everything wet still! Anyways, this hotel is great and the service is fantastic! Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
This gorgeous hotel is certainly one I will not forget. From the helpful and friendly staff to the beautifully modern rooms. This hotel has many perks including the DELICIOUS restaurant downstairs. The restaurant tends to get very busy, so I would suggest making a reservation. The rooms were clean, sleek, trendy and modern. They were really beautiful and practical. I would definitely come back and stay here if I ever return to Amsterdam!

Yelp
Clean, modern and interesting decor at this hotel. But I came here just to rave about the FREE breakfast. Somehow a FREE breakfast was the best breakfast of my life. Unreal. It's seated and served by candlelit too which adds a touch of class. Somehow the scrambled eggs and French toast went from an ordinary order to something simply exceptional.

Yelp
Phenomenal! The check in was quick and easy. Very knowledgable staff. The restaurant is superb with an exceptional breakfast. Coffee is first rate. Rooms are very quiet. Although awkward in shape the room has reasonable flow. Shower and bathroom are above average. Towels are large and reasonably soft. The bed was uncomfortable. Just way too firm. Tv was of high quality with reasonable channel selection. Exceptional proximity to a very efficient and multi mode train station. Enjoy!

Yelp
The hotel is a short walk to the train station, making it very convenient to get around Amsterdam. Our room was huge, and very comfortable. One of my favorite things about our four night stay here was the restaurant on the ground floor. Breakfast was included, and was by far the best we had on our travels. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. I would highly recommend this fabulous hotel!

Yelp
Excellent and competent staff. I wish I could commemorate each one specifically, but they all have impeccable service. Everything from checking-in to checking-out, the staff practiced perfect customer service. The bar/restaurant, The Lobby, made tasty drinks and was always willing to showcase their friendliness and compassion. Food came out delicious and fast.
