North America's Only Ice Hotel Now Open - Hot Tubs & Saunas

"This neighboring four-star property serves as the warm, full-service backup for overnight guests of the adjacent ice hotel, providing heated rooms and an on-site spa that offers a comprehensive thermal experience. It’s included with every overnight booking at the ice property and gives visitors a comfortable contrast to the icy accommodations while complementing the winter activities on the shared grounds." - Evie Carrick Evie Carrick Evie Carrick is a writer and editor who’s lived in five countries and visited well over 50. Our stay was decent overall, but several issues affected our experience. The front desk service was good, and housekeeping was excellent. The room was very clean, nicely maintained, and the beds were comfortable, which we truly appreciated. Food and drinks at the hotel were quite expensive, and unfortunately, guests are almost forced to eat at the hotel restaurants since Uber Eats does not deliver to this location. Luckily, we managed to order food directly from a St-Hubert restaurant, but options are very limited. Combined with the lack of accessible microwaves, this makes it difficult for families or guests who want alternatives. At Le Chalet bar, the experience felt uncomfortable. While using the welcome cocktail coupons, the bartender stated that the drink was included but not the tip and asked how we wanted to pay the tip (cash or card) before serving the drinks, which felt inappropriate. Another major issue was the hot water. After around 8:00 p.m., the shower water was only cold to lukewarm, even when set to maximum heat. There are also no microwaves in the rooms. We were told there should be one per floor, but only one microwave was working, causing long wait times, especially for parents needing to heat food or baby milk. Overall, the hotel offers very good cleanliness and comfortable rooms, but basic services, pricing, and guest convenience need improvement. With better management in these areas, the experience could be much better.

The fire alarm went off in the room at night because of the heat from taking a shower with the bathroom door open. The bathroom has no fan. When we realised it was just our room that had the alarm we called the front desk and they told us it was a common issue. All we got told is to shower withe door closed and to shake a towel in front of the fire detector to make it stop and if it happens again. That’s a terrible design flaw for a hotel. They should have bathroom fans and the fire detector maybe not placed so close to the bathroom door. They can’t rebuild it so they should at least have a sign asking guests to shower with the bathroom door closed to avoid the issue they clearly know about.

The hotel is good. Restaurants are OK, the pools are great. However, be mindful where they put you. I took the family suite (which is EXPENSIVE) and my room in the 3rd floor was right above the arcades and it was impossible to sleep until late at night. Probably the worst nights I've had in any hotel ever.

We stayed here for 3 nights. ||Pros: The room was really nice and clean. Beds were super comfortable. We had a king suite with a separate bedroom and a Murphy bed in the living room which was perfect for 2 adults + 1 kid. Our son really enjoyed the games room. Coffee shop was nice to have. ||Cons: the restaurants are not great and expensive. Villagio was ok and fast. Le Capitaine was not great and service was terribly slow. I recommend you bring food & take advantage of the mini fridge. There are also microwaves on each floor by the elevators.

We had a great stay at this hotel! It was very clean, well-maintained, and overall exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The room was a bit smaller than we expected, and unfortunately, there was no microwave in the room. We had to use a shared microwave near the elevator, which was a bit inconvenient, especially when traveling with a child. Still, the stay was pleasant and quiet, and we would recommend it to others — just keep in mind the small room size and shared amenities.

I am primarily giving this hotel, a one star rating due to a very serious safety issue, which was made clear during an evacuation event. We visited this hotel on June 23. Due to a storm, there were a power outages which I can understand completely. What is a very serious concern is when the evacuation alarm went off at 2:30 in the morning, there was not a single staff on site at any floor or in the main lobby or outside, give any information to all the guests who were gathered. The guests were left to figure out the evacuation to themselves, and not given any information in terms of when to go back in, what happened, was there a safety issue, And what to do. If this was a real emergency situation and not a result of power outages, someone could’ve gotten hurt. Let’s add that the majority of a guests or parents with very young children. The only person on site was the security guard was struggling to turn off the alarm and answer the guests. When we got back in our room a little before 3 AM, The alarm went off again for about five seconds (which terrified my daughter), then turned off and again no explanation was given. We went to the reception desk the next day to get a shrug from the reception say yes we had a meeting about that. That was the extent of the information that we got the entire stay at the hotel for those three days and two nights. There was not a single email, an apology, an explanation, or any attempt to make it right with a guest. We did attempt to give feedback in person, and we did attempt to give feedback by email. All of which has gone ignored. Do not expect this hotel to give you any type of credit or attempt to make it right when things go wrong. If you’re OK with that, then I would say the hotel waterslides are amazing and the bracelet which gives access at all times the indoor and outdoor is definitely worth it. The food is overpriced, but to be expected.

During our time in Montreal we'd come up here a few times and even stayed in the ice hotel during winter! Brrrrrrr! Hotel has always been great on previous visits, but on this occasion (maybe due to summer staff), found some of staff hit and miss which isn't our usual experience here. A smile goes a long way. Still, if we were living in Canada longer that wouldn't put us off visiting again. Reception hit and miss. Tried to get a problem solved, first person didn't want to know. Went away and came back and tried another person who was helpful. Housekeeping miss, was outright told no from one member when I asked for a towel change. Did get it resolved but a hassle. Restaurants very welcoming and never had an issue with those guys and girls. The dream team. Bora Parc towel lady, sucking on sour grapes or whatever was ticking her off that day. Bora Parc general hit and miss. The lifeguards look as if they don't want to be there. The boy controlling access may as well say 'Papers please'. The only warm welcome was the person controlling access to the hot tub! So, I put this down to a summer staff issue.

Not the best experience but the staff were friendly and the restaurants were okay. Most of the bora park water slides were down or just unavailable and almost everything at the arcade was down, some stuff at the arcade when you tapped your card it would pay for it then the game wouldn't start or work. There was no staff to ask for help or refund the money wasted.
