Hotel van Bebber

My Husband booked me a night away alone in this hotel, child free as a Christmas Present. All I can say is what a beautiful experience!|The staff from the moment I checked in were extremely helpful and spoke English after noticing I struggled talking German ( I tried) ||The room was stunning. I had a beautiful relaxing bath in the gorgeous bathroom then a whole night of uninterrupted sleep. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. ||Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Blown away by this staff and this stay. Van Bebber welcomes you to a gorgeous historic hotel where you can stay at luxury without breaking the bank. The staircases are gorgeous along with thoughtful flooring. Decoration is fitting for each room providing warm lights to make the historic hotel have this cozy feeling. I met one of the owners outside on arrival, sitting with a friend on a nice day. He invited myself and a guest to sit and have a drink with him. This was before we knew he was the owner, what we learned is that this family runs this hotel and they want you to make yourself at home. Upon notice that we’d be dining at their hotel restaurant, they treated us like royalty and wanted to make sure we enjoyed true italian dishes. Their mother, the head chef, did outstanding. Below the restaurant there is a cigar lounge in a cellar. Great, great atmosphere to have a drink with your best mates. Fell in love with this small city mostly due to the amazing locals.

We did not avail ourselves of the hotel but had lunch in its restaurant, Ristorante Vittorio. The last time I ate here, almost 40 years, the restaurant still featured German cuisine; now it is Italian. The food was very tasty: I had the linguini with sea food, and not only was the dish well prepared, it did not stint on the sea food. Highly recommended.

This was an amazing Hotel to stay at. Comfortable and perfect location in a beautiful town. Was able to sit on the balcony and enjoy the evening. The food was also amazing from the breakfast to the dinner that was so delicious. I would definitely go back. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and gracious hosts. If I am in Germany again I will definitely stay here.

Stay every year in Xanten. Bledi and family who own the hotel are magnificent. They offer top class service and "moma's" cooking is wonderful. The rooms have been updated over the last few years but it still keeps the unique historic feel, but far more comfortable. You will enjoy the stay here. Xanten is also a cool place to visit.

Visiting family in the vicinity, we were very fortunate to spend a night and a wonderful meal at this hotel for our family reunion. The hotel is very tastefully designed, the staff very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. I can’t recommend it enough. We would hope to be back soon.

I stayed 1 night, Sat/Sun for a sports event in town. This easily could have been a five star review if it was not for the bed. But first the good news: the place is cozy and retro in a very good way. It is a private hotel with a great restaurant and a cellar that works like a bar/club. The staff was very friendly, the room was spacious and bright. And the breakfast was rich and delicious. Just the bed... also retro but in the not so good way. Guys! Time to buy new mattresses :)

A business trip where Myself and friends were treated like royalty by Bledi, his mother, and staff. Rooms were extremely comfortable with the quiet calmness of a library throughout the building. Restaurant is tops and we were treated to a spectacularly special dinner made by Mother herself. On site parking is limited, but public parking is actually easier and directly across the street. Beautiful church across the street. Shopping and more restaurants are out the front door too. This is now my top vacation destination. Thank you Bledi! Joe (Michigan)
