I was very satisfied with Hotel Vardar. The rooms are very large and I had a beautiful view of the square and the walls. The breakfast was plentiful with many choices. In the maze of Kotor Old Town, this hotel is easy to find as it’s near the sea gate. I didn’t have any issues with noise, as others have reported, at the time of my visit. Highly recommend.

Overall this hotel was lovely. A couple of things I found a little strange - e.g. when requesting to book the sauna in advance I was first told it could be booked until 10pm but later was told I was too late to book at 8.30pm. We were there early November at shoulder season and sometimes the restaurant would not be open in the evening although this wasn't made clear. However, the hotel was very comfortable and the room was lovely quality (a heads up: no tea/coffee provided in the room, if that's something you might want to know in advance!) The Turkish bath/sauna was lovely and can be booked for individual/couple slots at no additional cost. The restaurant food was nice and service was lovely. We were given a parting gift from the hotel which was a very nice touch. The location is absolutely perfect for seeing central Kotor - we were overlooking the square by the Sea Gate and could easily walk around the old town or book a taxi for the Sea Gate for going further afield.

We loved our two nights at Hotel Vardar. The staff were very accommodating and upgraded us to a balcony room with great views of the square. The room was very spacious and the bed comfortable. It was also remarkably well sound proofed. We enjoyed the use of the gym (there is also a sauna) and complimentary breakfast which had a great range. We would love to come back and stay at Hotel Vardar.

The lady in the reception is so rude that she almost kicked us out! I experienced that kind of behavior for the first time in my life, we walked in to reserve 2 rooms for 3 nights for our family vacation but it was like she was there to stop people booking rooms! So unfortunate for this beautiful old town.

The location of the hotel is great. It is in the old town and very close to the gate. Cars stay outside of the old town and you need to walk with the bags to get to the hotel. Make sure to have a light bag and easy to handle. Staff super helpful. Not great value for money. Hotel is old fashioned and needs renovation. Furniture is old. Chairs were broken in the room. Food is ok. Noisy at night especially if you are light sleeper. You won't sleep well. No view from most of the rooms. You see only walls.

It will probably one of a kind type of comments but that was a shock for us so that’s why I would like to share with everyone. One of a kind because we were not able to stay at the hotel. That was just because of a lady who was at the reception. I’ve never experienced that type of rude behavior before. We just entered the hotel to ask for info such vacancy, price etc. Her manner since the beginning was so rude and she almost kicked us out. Still did not understand why and that was shocking. I felt like eventough the management would give us a free room, I would never step into the hotel anymore

A beautiful step back in time. This hotel is in the heart of the Old Town with such beautiful history all around. The hotel was very clean and the room was large and room. As was the bathroom. Breakfast was a little ordinary but to be fair a very large group had gone just before us and had pretty much cleared things out. Step outside your hotel and you have restaurants, shops and history all around you. Wish we had longer to explore this beautiful place.

Perfect location. Best view within the walls from the junior suite. Service and breakfast wonderful. Room exceptionally clean. Lovely rituals toiletries. The most comfortable bed. You will not be disappointed
