Hotel Värend

Minimalist hotel room that has everything you need, breakfast was included and in my opinion very neat. Staff was super friendly and you can grab free tea, coffee, or hot chocolate next to the reception. Overall good experience for the price.

I wasn't expecting 😕 at all to find a room without kettle,minibar,phone,fan,ventilation,tissues. A very old villa with small rooms. The breakfast has very limited options. No good value for money. The only good thing was the cleaning guy. He was smiling and very helpful

Stayed between 26-28 May 2023. Fantastic stay. Greeted on entrance to the hotel when checking in, very pleasant interaction. Room as expected and exactly what I needed. Was a nice touch that the window opened, as this doesn’t happen in the UK. Lovely bathroom and water pressure in the shower. Great location and very pleasant stay. Very reasonable price paid for the stay. WiFi was good and worked in the room. I stayed in a single occupancy room. I did not try the complimentary breakfast or coffee, so cannot comment on these. Would recommend to others and I would return if I find myself in town.

I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room had a great size and was clean. The breakfast was nice with plenty to choose from. Even though it is close to the city center it was quite o I got a good night’s sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are also good parking spaces. If I should say something negative the bed was a bit to hard but that is the only negative thing I have.

WARNING: I do not recommend this place This is mainly due to: * Basically no possibility for you to cook your own food (see image for the "kitchen" you get access to). No cutting boards, no stove or oven, etc. There are some ceramic plates and microwaves, and that's it. There are no restaurant or possibility to buy cooked food either. * Very limited breakfast. No plant based milk. Pretty much no vegan breakfast alternative. * We found hair in the shower and on the floor after arriving. Apparently they did not clean the shower. * Dirt between the beds. * Cleaning staff enters room without knocking. * We got only one key although we were two people. * Ugly interior. If the hotel would be cheaper I would have accepted these drawbacks. However, we payed ~850 kr per night (we were 2 people).

Overall a very nice hotel. The beds were very nice and comfortable, and the rooms contained all necessities you would expect. The hotel did lack things such as a pool and gym, but as I only stayed one night, I didn't find that to be a problem. Breakfastwise it was OK. Not amazing, but it had everything you would expect of a hotel breakfast. The only think I missed was the warm dishes such as bacon and egg or just regular boiled eggs.

Room is ok, beds are comfortable and it's clean. Considering the price, I was happy. The thing I didn't like was how they treat customers and refuse to help people who don't understand the language to well. I wanted to borrow a charger for my cellphone and reception was empty so I called this number and asked if they could borrow me one, got the reply he wasn't there and they don't have.

A great spot, friendly,clean, efficent. Good berckfast.The real Swedish style and system. we were so happy and pleased. Will return definitly if to visit Vaxjo. Keep it up the good work Mr Varend. You feel very Swedish when you inside this hotel.
