The most beautiful place on Earth!! Stayed in this most amazing hotel, small boutique hotel with 11 rooms, with all our children and grandchildren, 18 in total, and it was out of this World! Beautiful hotel, cozy and confortable, felt like our private villa. Amazing service, everybody so nice and attentive! It is a small hotel in a Private Island sorrounded by a frozen lake. The most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. Just to stay in Vartossiari is worth the trip to Lapland. Near Rovaniemi, close to everything. If you go to Lapland, this is the place to stay!!!!

Beautiful hotel on a small private island with amazing scenery. We were lucky enough to have clear skies and this was the perfect spot to see the Northern Lights on 2 different evenings. We had a private chef and the food was brilliant quality. Kyle and Anni were fantastic hosts and gave great local advice on how to best enjoy our trip. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. We had the choice of 2 saunas which really helped to warm up after outdoor activities. I would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

Amazing location on a private island that has beautiful views. Family owned and operated. Exceptional service. The room are very clean and well maintained. Good for friends and family gatherings. The bridge makes you feel like you truly are on your own island. Very quiet and peaceful. You can take walks around the island. Not touristy. Sauna was great. Breakfast was very good. While it may start later than you would expect, the owner is always willing to accommodate an early start if you have an excursion that leaves early. Make sure to do the ice plunge it was so well worth it. Highly recommend staying here.

The hotel is great and very familiar, the treatment with us was amazing and everything is taken care of with a lot of love. The rooms are very clean, spacious and have everything you need. We loved the buffet food, everything was really delicious. The location of the hotel is perfect, it is on a private island and its landscapes are incredible, very close to the airport and Santa Claus village. Also have 2 saunas 🤩 Everything was perfect, we will come back for sure!! 🤍

It's one of the worst places I've ever stayed at, paying this level of money.||As a result, we may need to check in early since we are arriving by plane. However, even though they have empty rooms, they charge an hourly fee for early check-in.||But this is not a problem either.||The rooms at the hotel are nice, although they have some problems.||It is in a bad location and they help with transportation. To go to the city center, you have to pay an average of 30 EUR one way.||One of the interesting issues is that they offer dinner service, but it is open buffet; Let's say they cook a meal like a salad and get paid for it. You can eat this meal unlimitedly, or you can eat in the city center by paying 60 EUR round trip. The choice is up to you. It is realy terrible. I paid 15-20 euros per person for a meal like potato salad.||There is no bar or any activity you can do in your location.||They have a small sauna and it is free and only open between 5 and 7 pm. If all the rooms come, they cannot use it.||You may be going for a holiday, but you have to wake up in the morning because breakfast ends at 10 o'clock. And it is better to go to breakfast at 8 o'clock. They never renew what's left for breakfast. You can't drink hot tea, and whatever food is left may have to be gnawed like a mouse.||There is a television in the room that you can view with a magnifying glass. If you get bored of the activities that are not available at the hotel, you can watch television with magnifying glass.||A hotel that is definitely not worth the money they charge. Frankly, if I rented a house and stayed there, I would have more options and pay much less.

Hotel Vartiosaari is the most beautiful location on a small private island. We were lucky enough to have clear skies and it was the perfect spot to see the Northern Lights on 2 different evenings. Kyle and Anni were amazing hosts and really made the trip. Kyle gave us great advice on the best activities to do locally. The private chef was amazing, I loved all the food and I am usually quite fussy! The rooms were spacious, clean and incredibly comfy. The saunas were perfect for warming up after a day of outside activities. I would highly recommend this location, particularly for anyone wanting to see the Northern Lights. If we had stayed in the town centre we may not have seen them as there is more light pollution, this location gives you much more opportunity to see the lights. However, it is also a very short drive to the town centre so you don't have to spend long travelling but feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere. I would definitely stay again.

One of the most phenomenal hotel experiences I’ve ever stayed in. Kyle and Anni were exceptional hosts and couldn’t have done enough for us. They organised everything for us and the cold water swimming and sauna on site was a memory for life- amazing. Kyle helped us navigate our way through looking at the northern lights which were spectacular and we got to experience some amazing local culture. ||Highly recommend. The perfect escape in Lapland.
