I stayed here recently. The location is great – right in the main square, close to restaurants, shops, and public transport.||The hotel’s page does say there’s no elevator to the first floor and that it can be noisy because of the central location, but I didn’t pay attention to that when I booked. If you have heavy luggage or are a light sleeper, keep that in mind. Paulo at the front desk kindly helped carry my bags up the stairs, which I really appreciated.||The breakfast was okay but very basic, with no choices – not bad, but definitely nothing special.||The real problem is the shower box. It’s very tight, but the main issue is how the doors open, leaving only about 30 cm of space for anyone to enter. This is a serious problem for anyone, especially for someone who’s overweight and has a big belly – like my dad. The first night, he couldn’t even take a shower. While the reception was trying to find a solution with the supervisor, Patricia, the cleaner, stepped in and quickly sorted it out by removing one of the shower doors. It helped a lot, even though it meant flooding the bathroom during showers.||So, while the location and staff were great, the noise, thin walls, basic breakfast, and tiny showers made the stay not as comfortable as I’d hoped

It's a great location for tourism and standard but if you don't like being woken up at 7 a.m. by bells ringing from the nearby cathedral, choose a different hotel.

As others have said, this is a very European hotel, so adjust your expectations. Location is ideal for explorations. We had a wonderful view of Notre-Dame and the market from our 4th (top) floor room. Spacious room with desk, lots of closet space, great wifi. Bathroom was a bit dark and shower was small. When the market is open, there are many food smells through open windows, but if you close them, the smell (and any noise) goes away. Front desk staff were very helpful - and they had the most beautiful bell! The included breakfast at L'Osteria was delicious and quite filling.

We booked the double room which was more than adequate for our first (jet lagged) night in Europe. The location of this hotel is fantastic, the staff were all so helpful. European rooms are small. But there was sufficient space for our luggage. We enjoyed pizza in the restaurant and the breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend, especially for the price, and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

This is a very typical European hotel. Front desk and restaurant staff were wonderfully kind and helpful. Location was terrific. Breakfast was the perfect starter for the day. Yes, you have to carry your bags up a few stairs to get to the elevator, but at least there was an elevator. My only complaint was the lumpy mattress which my back definitely did not like.

Very average little hotel that should not be called 3 star as the rooms are too small for a 3 star, they have no fridge or real amenities in the room and the attached restaurant don’t care if you are a hotel guest or not. They will kick you out if you have not made a booking for dinner yet no one said this when booking in. We were told that the restaurant is open for guests after 6. I was shocked when asked to leave no matter I was staying in the hotel which definitely means this is not really a hotel restaurant. I walked across the square after being kicked out, to another restaurant who said they were fully booked but made a spot for us to have dinner and a drink. We spent a lot of money so the hotel and their fake restaurant missed out. The room is tiny, the back of the toilet leaked a little, the basin was so badly cracked in several places that it would be classified broken. The bed was amazing and comfortable, brilliant nights of sleep. The staff very friendly at reception and in the morning as breakfast is included. No choice for breakfast as it is a cold set serving, however, for most it would be great. The staff at the restaurant at night very rude. Imagine being a hotel guest and asked to leave, wow! How about explaining the situation to guests if the hotel??? The lift and stairs old to us after we booked is terrible. The lift doesn’t start until near the first floor, so you must carry your bag up more than 15 steps to catch the lift, but wait that is not all; you then come out of the loft and again have to walk up stairs to your room and not just one or three steps. The lift only goes between floors and the floors are very spaced out as it is an old building. Hence, this should be advised in the write up in the hotel and not after one books. The hotel is in a good location and walking distance to most things in the old part of town. If I had known what I know now I would never have booked this hotel. However, if you want somewhere just to lay your head, don’t mind small rooms with no fridge, extremely small shower (big people would not fit through doors if shower) lots of stairs and a fairly good breakfast then this is the place for you.

Perfectly located in the city center, modest hotel but extremely clean and staff is very kind and helpful. I'd go there again, ideal for a short stay.

Forgot to take enough photos but will go ahead and describe it from memory. Location 4 ⭐ Super close to the main squares and the other tourist sites. Problem is, it's smack middle that it's noisy when there are activities in the square (and the two nights we spent there, there are activities). Room 2⭐ Good view of the square, but quite small overall. No air-conditioning, although a fan is provided. And with the lack of AC, we had to open the windows. Then comes the moths that's attracted by our light. The bathroom is pretty small as well, shower will fit one person without much wiggle room. Service 3⭐ Speedy check in and check out. The front desk is just alright, not too fond of inquiries from us, we probably requested too much water :)) Breakfast was alright - baguette, cold cuts, butter, cheese, yogurt, orange juice - enough to get the day going. Amenities 3⭐ Lift starts after the first floor, need to go up a narrow flight of stairs. Water refill available but need to ask from the counter. Able to borrow an iron from them. No gym. Quite alright if you like a convenient location, but not the most pleasant overall.
