Hotel Vereina

Absolutely wonderful and beautiful hotel and SPA! Truly had a wonderful and relaxing weekend! The service was very nice and personal, and the hotel is very generous offering many small services free if charge! We were even upgraded to a bigger room for no extra costs! Truly fantastic! Highly recommend and will most likely come again soon!

We had a lovely balcony suite overlooking the snowy valley. Lovely friendly family owned boutique hotel in a great location in a traditional wooden style. The staff are so welcoming and helpful Large 1000 m2 wellness & spa area with pool, steam and sauna rooms. Lovely breakfast and dinner in the gourmet restaurant.

Once again our stay in Vereina was wonderful. We are now confirmed fans and clients of this very high quality hotel. The service and quality of the food is exceptional but above all the people who work there make you feel at home and are very profesional.

We have stayed at Hotel Vereina several times over the past 10 years and the staff always remembers us and takes extra care of our family. It is still great to know that this kind of personalized service is still available. We really enjoy the restaurants, the location, and the super friendly service. I would highly recommend staying here (especially around the Christmas holidays) if you are looking for a memorable experience!

Had a lovely week of close to ski-in/ski-out experiences in this boutique hotel. The restaurant was absolutely lovely and had a very interesting and somewhat surprising list of wines...some rare finds from Spain and Italy that I wouldn't have expected to find outside of their origins. The location was fabulously placed for our ski trip. We were able to effortlessly access all 3 areas conveniently. The overall reason I wouldn't hesitate to come back is the staff. At every step of the way, they went above and beyond the call to reserve special dinners at fully booked restaurants, organize some special side adventures, and even sorted out payments for outside services (as we normally do not carry cash on us, later billed to my room). We dined in the hotel' main restaurant, and while the food, ambiance and service was excellent - the evening was ruined by the appalling behaviour of a fellow diner nearby who turned out to be one of the owners of the hotel. During our meal, a family sitting nearby with two young boys were subjected to severe verbal abuse by the owner, when one of their boys had a minor tantrum. We have 3 young children of our own, so are very familiar with their predicament - I had already noticed that the boy was tired and cranky, so we weren't surprised at all when their father carried him out. In the process the boy accidentally knocked over a bottle and the area was noisy for maybe 20 seconds. It didn't bother us at all, nor any other guests, but the owner began verbally abusing the mother and was clearly racist and extremely rude. I observed her being very shocked and stunned at his words, and I interjected by telling him that neither us, nor anyone else in the area, were bothered by what happened, as this is what children do. The owner shouted at the family that "he had children and they would never behave like this and that they should leave". It was horrifying and we stood up for the poor mother, who clearly was distressed. That the owner of this hotel could be so rude and disrespectful to his own guests is beyond the pale. The staff handled the situation well, by calmly removing the owner from the restaurant. Afterwards, I reassured the mother that she had every right to be there, with her children, and that they didn't do anything wrong. They stayed calm and when their son returned with the father, the whole family were able to enjoy the rest of their meal, alone with everyone else there. I felt the need to write this review as I think the board, management and shareholders of the Hotel Veraina need to be aware of the disgraceful behaviour of the owner, who I understand is only part owner in the business. This man needs to be removed from his position, as he is completely unprofessional and ruined not just our evening, but left a stain on it for everyone else that night.

We came back here as a family of Five for Christmas 2021. We have stayed previously in a summer period. The hotel is just wonderful. The staff are truly incredible. They organise everything for you, from ski passes, to skiing lessons, to activities and even to brilliant breakfasts either in the dinning room or in your own room. Our rooms were fabulous, cleaned daily by lovely lovely teams. Thank you Team Vereina for making our 2021 Christmas and the entire week so special.

Stopped for lunch on the way to Engadin. Great experience! Beautiful garden, delicious food (venison) and friendly staff. Prices were really ok for such an ambiance
