Rooms were nice, price reasonable and generally good experience until checkout. Double charged me for the two nights I stayed, never removed the charge from my card, even when provided receipts showing it was paid. I had to get my card issuer to do it.

The location is great, within walking distance to the city center. The man at the reception provided excellent service, and the check-in process was smooth. The room was clean and well-maintained. Parking is paid, but it’s located on-site, so there’s no need to look for parking outside. I highly recommend staying here.

This is not the Carlton, but it doesn’t pretend to be. Hotel Verlaine feels a bit like classic south-of-France: gate opens, you roll in with the car, reception on one side, your room somewhere on the other. Rooms are decent, equipment decent - everything just about decent. It’s small, yes, but has that personal touch that saves it from being forgettable. Price is still fair, even in the Cannes high season. For a night or two, it’s a good choice… just don’t expect fireworks.

It's hard to imagine a four-star hotel not having a hairdryer. I clearly paid on Booking.com, but the front desk said I hadn't paid. The management is chaotic. I wouldn't recommend it.

Very central and close to heart of action. The receptionist lady however could have been nicer and more polite to have a better first impression at the very first encounter of checking in. Overall the hotel is pristine clean, not compromising quality products to offer which is highly appreciated.

We actually wanted to book, but we had a question beforehand, which we tried to ask by email. Unfortunately, despite our inquiries, no one responded for over three days, and no one was available by phone either. It's a shame. Apparently, the beautiful facade on the internet, consisting of enchanting photos, is unfortunately just a facade and nothing more. This was our first and last attempt to book at this hotel.
