Warsaw Travel Guide: This Hip Eastern European City Is One of the Best Places to Travel This Year

"It’s now possible to sleep in a Baroque palace just steps from Warsaw’s Old Town thanks to Hotel Verte Warsaw Marriott Autograph Collection composing the Branicki and Szaniawski palaces. Each of the 94 playful bedrooms highlights 18th-century features, while Chef Maciej Majewski keeps patrons entertained and well-nourished at KUK's ‘neo-bistro.’" - Kasia Dietz

The customer service from the Front Desk employees was exceptional. Jarek and Krzysztof provided 5 star service as well as Joanna and her co-worker. Chris the concierge was very knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and surrounding area. Jarek was very friendly and helpful and provided service above and beyond. I am leaving feeling better than when I first arrived. This hotel is beautiful and historic but the staff make it extraordinary. Also Bartek elevated our dining experience with his attentive service. All staff made us feel special, like we belong and yearning to come back and visit again.

The hotel is gorgeous, fabulously located in the Old town. It’s the perfect hotel for tourists and is quite well priced compared to what you would pay for such a hotel in the rest of Europe. The breakfast was gourmet! The food in the restaurants is also superb. Their little outdoor cafe is so pretty.|The rooms are very comfy with big bathrooms, ultra modern with cool paintings of Kings and Queens (with funky modern detailing!). Lovely selection of teas and a coffee machine in every room. Also has a very quirky modern interior aesthetic which strangely beautifully complements the palatial architecture. I enjoyed the “White Lotus” feels with the monkey chandeliers, signs and gorilla lights. |My only complaint is I wish the overhead shower had better water pressure (although the hand shower does). I’m nitpicking here. |This place is perfection.

This is a beautiful hotel set in an old palace.|The location is simply amazing allowing you to walk to many things including old town and the royal walk. There are many nearby superb restaurants and even a laundromat.|The common spaces are gorgeous and the gym is so large with two rooms and high end equipment. We didn’t use the sauna and spa facilities but they have them too.|The breakfast was out of this world. It includes warm and cold buffet as well as a la carte which was all included with our room. The a la carte was extensive and included 5 different types of eggs Benedict including one with crab and one with caviar. I don’t often miss hotel breakfasts but this is definitely one I will miss.|The room is spacious, clean and very comfortable. We were kindly upgraded to two rooms that were interconnected on the top floor. The bathroom was nearly the size of some small hotel rooms. The products were very good too.|The staff was really outstanding and friendly. The front desk helped iron out two glitches we had upon check in and they more than made up for them. I want to especially call out Yuric who was the front desk manager when we checked in who really turned around our check in experience.|I would highly recommend staying here!

I reserved 2 rooms, and used Marriott upgrades to upgrade 1 of the rooms. We arrived late in the evening and had no problems checking in, once our Uber driver found the entrance. The staff was very helpful in getting our stuff to both rooms. The next day, the details of the room became more impressive. The heated marble floors in the bathroom were a nice touch. The location of the hotel made everything we planned to see walkable and near literally hundreds of places to eat or drink. BUT you really miss out, if you did have breakfast at the hotel. The space is full of sun, comfortable and the food is amazing. The only way to improve on the whole experience, would be to get more staff. More than once we went to the hotel bar and the poor bartender was trying to wait on 3-4 tables, make items for room service and make very elaborate drinks at the bar itself. She was doing a great job, but no one can do a quality job at that pace for long. I travel ever week for work, and this hotel is in my top 3 hotels that I have ever stayed at. I need to find another reason to return to Warsaw soon.

This was the nicest of several hotels we stayed at during a recent trip to Europe. It's a palace which has been very nicely renovated. The staff are very professional and speak excellent English. There's a great bar area. The breakfast was complimentary for us due to Bonvoy status/points, but even if we had to pay for it, it would have been worth it. Good location right in old town Warsaw. We hated to leave.

First off, location and physical plant/renovation are 5 star. Beautiful hotel in perfect location. Unfortunately staff not up to 5 star level of service and customer appreciation. Check in was delayed and staff was indifferent. Asked for the men's Wimbledon final on the bar TV Sunday (after women's final shown Saturday) and met with "not possible" decided to spend our leisure time at Hotel Bristol where even as non-residents we were very welcomed.

The location of this hotel could not have been better for a first time visit. The staff did everything possible to make our stay an enjoyable time. The room was large and nicely appointed. The bed and pillows were very comfy! We didn’t use any of the amenities as we were in Warsaw on a 36 hour layover and wanted to see the city.

M family and I had the distinct pleasure of staying at Hotel Verte during our trip to Warsaw, Poland. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff was welcoming and efficient. Our thanks go out especially to Christophe, the concierge, who was able to flag down our Uber as it accidentally went down a side street. We highly recommend Hotel Verte for a stay in Old Town Warsaw!
