Hotel Vertigo

Good hostel, we stayed in a 16-person dorm. There were 4 bathrooms and showers in the room which was great! Charging ports in every bed and lockers for backpacks however you need a large enough lock for them to work. Pay extra for towels and washing. Communal kitchen too. Very convenient location perfect to walk around the port.

I wish I could give it a better review. Yes, it's a hostel... But there were bugs in the rooms (looked like baby cockroaches) and hair and dust on the shower floors (when was the last time someone cleaned that?). Beds were squeaky, but comfortable. Rooms were spacious. I didn't feel comfortable doing anything in the bathroom (brushing my teeth, showering or doing my skincare). I never put any of my luggage or personal belongings on the floor because I could see the bugs walking around.

Super nice place if you don't mind sleeping in shared rooms. We were in building b and there is also a cozy area with a shared kitchen, including fridges. Some books also available for leisure reading. Unfortunately the door to our room was screeching, and when the door falls shut, it is loud. which is worth than you might think, as 8 people come and go and you might wake up often at night. Other than that, and for that price, I will stay there again.

I stayed here for 6–7 nights. Check-in was smooth, and the guy at the front desk — it was his first day and he was from Italy — was lovely and helpful. The hostel is well maintained, with AC in the rooms, and the cleaning staff came by daily to clean the bathrooms, even when no one was checking out — which I really appreciated. The location is fantastic — walking distance to many attractions, with great restaurants nearby and a small convenience store right next door. The only downside was on my third day when I noticed my towel was very dirty. When I asked to exchange it, the shorter Italian guy at the front desk was surprisingly rude and dismissive, which was disappointing. That said, I would still stay here again — and hopefully next time, that shorter Italian staff member is in a better mood for handling guest requests.

I stayed there for 3 nights, the room was nice (4 beds), the staff was friendly and the location was very good. I think the bathrooms could be a bit cleaner but it wasn’t super dirty or anything. Overall very good stay, if I would be in the area I would book in again :)

Overall great hostel. Perfect location. Strange layout that I wasn’t used to, with rooms being huge and having multiple levels, but ended up being fine. Staff let us have extra blankets and mess with the AC as needed. Bathrooms were limited for the amount of people per room but ended up being alright. Great for backpackers I think.

I got a bed in the 16 bed dorm, room is very spacious so it didn't feel like we were so many even though was fully booked. The staff is friendly and happy to help with infos about Marseille. Clean and in a great location near Lidl, restaurants, public transports and few minutes from the port

I stayed in this hostel for a weekend and It was a quite nice stay. Very good location.. very spacious rooms, reception 24 and a bar connected to the hostel. Staff is also super nice, particularly Vincenzo that managed to do the check in in my language and really helped me with something that I needed. That's the example of doing the extra mile
