I was off season, so your experience may vary, but the crowd was quite different from your average hostel. Instead of meeting tourists, I was meeting locals who were trying to get an apartment. I'm sure that varies from week to week though. The lounge was nice but something about the way it's laid out made it hard to strike a conversation with other groups. Still, a good place to stay for cheap, and I don't think there are better alternatives.

The rooms are nice, clean and there is a lot of space in them. You don't have that much privacy compared to other hostels but you have lots of room around your bed. It's located very central and the staff was nice. There was no common area other than the small kitchen (which was nice for a kitchen but not really a place to hang out) and the bar which was too public for my taste. But overall if you need a cheap place to stay in the area, it fulfills that purpose

The Hostel itself seems very nice. Open spaces, well decorated and very comfy. However, the staff member was very unfriendly and ignorant. We were travelling with a dismounted road bike (regulations for the TGV) and just wanted to stay for 1 night before getting onto the train very early. When we entered with the quite compact luggage (1 larger carton and a package not bigger than a 70-80 litre backpack) he did not even say hello and just straight up told us that we can’t stay in the hostel with the packages. After explaining our situation he mentioned that the only solution is to build the bike back up and store it in the backyard. Time wise and work wise impossible for us since we dismounted everything including the rear derailleurs etc. and packaged them quite complex. He didn’t even want to help us out (the night before we stayed in one of the worst hostels in Nice were it even was no problem storing the bikes packaged since they were really not that bulky). There was not even a method to store them just over night somewhere. Furthermore the whole time he denied every suggestion we made in a very impolite way and it seemed like it was his principle to not help us. Fortunately we were able to cancel our booking and with the help of a very kind and helpful person of the Ibis Budget Hotel found another hostel in the city were the staff members were much more polite and in interest to find a solution for the luggage and a nice stay as well.

The location is really good, sadly they promised stuff without delivery. There was no bar, restaurant or breakfast. And the kitchen existed but was poorly kept. Dirty utensils with old food stuck to it, just one heating element for everyone and not a lot to cook with. The room was relatively good it somewhat spacious but I booked a five bed dormitory and got a six bed. I don’t have a problem with 6 bed dorms though it was strange to not even be notified about the change and just stuck with the room. Finally the price was good and location amazing so it is a fine place to stay. They should deliver on their promises though.

I planned to stay in this hostel for 2 days, and on the second day afternoon, when I returned back to my room, the other three guys had already checked out. One of them left the dirty clothes in the room, and the dirty clothes even has DIAPER ON IT. The cleaning staff just put those dirty clothes on my bed, this is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! I put most of my stuff properly in the locker and left a clean towel and shirt on my bed before I left the room in the morning. I don’t know why the staff can put another strangers DIRTY clothes on my bed and close to my clean stuff, this couldn’t happen. I mean like if today these clothes are mine, the staff still doesn’t have the right to touch customers’ things, and what happened today is that these things even not mine! Also, the AC in the room isn’t working(or not working well), so there might be your roommate need to open the window at night. But it’s cold at midnight, so basically you can’t sleep well with the window opened. What’s more, my shared room is at the ground floor next to the gate, which means if you want to get some fresh air and sleep, anyone could get in to the room from the window as they want. Lastly, the bed shakes a lot if the one sleep on the top needs to get down. So, unfortunately, if your roommate wants to use the toilet in the midnight, you’ll wake up too. The location of the hostel is good, and the staff at the reception speaks english well. But these are the only two good things. I also stayed in The People Marseille Hostel before I arrived here. They both got the similar price, but The People Marseille, their facilities is way much better. And I forgot to say, at here, the Wifi in the room is so so bad. I have many experiences of staying in hostels, with this price, 34 euros per night, this could be one of the worst. I’ll never choose here again. 更新:房間住起來跟成功嶺新訓沒兩樣

I had a great time at the hostel. I was there for one night only, but the location was fantastic, and the hostel staff were very nice and friendly too - gave me a good run of the hostel quickly. Moving on to the room, it was the 16 person dorm - but it was like an entire villa - huge dorm with comfortable beds (but I wish the beds had some privacy), charging points and lights next to the beds, and huge washrooms and shower rooms. The blanket was literally like a bedsheet so I was a little skeptical st first, but it was just perfect, and so was the aircon. They even let me leave my luggage in a locked store room once I checked out. Would 10/10 recommend and stay here when I’m back in Marseille!

They admitted they accidentally deleted my reservation themselves, but I still had to pay 15% extra. I contacted them afterwards, but they just ignore me. I had the reservation and yet I needed to pay a lot of money extra because they made an accident, which they admitted and can happen. Also there was no toilet so you had to go to another building close by.
