Hotel Vestmannaeyjar

I travelled to the Westman Islands and stayed 3 nights at Hotel Vestmannaeyjar. It's clean, comfortable, warm and staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast in award winning restaurant is amazing and I used the wee spa area downstairs every night. Receptionist Laurus features in a new podcast I've made and hotel owner helped me find two fabulous women interviewees to speak about the eruption in 1973. Totally helpful people. I'd definitely stay here again.

The room was nice and is in a good location. The hotel is within walking distance of most shops and attractions. The breakfast buffet was also good and they offered fresh waffles.||The spa however needs a bit of improvement, it quite the adventure to reach the hot tubs and sauna and it is not as nice as the rest of the hotel. The water in the hot tubs did not seem to be chlorinated or salted so I’m not sure how hygienic they are.||It was still a nice stay and we would stay here again.

We loved our stay here! We booked the suite, and it was beautiful and spacious. The bed was comfortable, but the room itself was pretty warm (we visited in July, and I know this is a good problem for Iceland!). The breakfast buffet was great, and I recommend dinner at the hotel restaurant as well. Book early since there are not a lot of options on the island!

We had a heat problem in our room and told the staff about it. All we got was an arrogant interface. " ad what do you want me to do about it? What do you suggest? " i just asked if we could have another room or a air conditioner, and got the same arrogant response. " air conditioner? We are in iceland" that was the end of the conversation. But breakfast ok and rooms are clean, staff terrible.

The hotel is clean and modern. Of course, it’s welllocated – nothing is that far in Vestmannaeyjar! The person at the front desk was helpful in advising on distances and how to get to places. The rooms were a nice size and nicely furnished. We came with our in-laws and our two kids, and this was a perfect family hotel.

Great basic hotel--you won't get many luxurious hotels in Icleand, but that is not what I was traveling for. Our rooms were very clean, and there was a small spa area downstairs with a hot tub. The lobby was also pretty artsy. It was in walking distance to some good restaurants and to the harbor. The blackout curtains didn't come all the way down, so make sure you bring a sleeping mask if you're here in the summer!

A great hotel within walking distance from ferry. Check in and check out we’re easy and front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was on an upper floor overlooking the street. Very comfortable bed, great shower, and quiet hotel. We loved being able to use the facilities downstairs- hot tub (it’s a hot tub, not a jacuzzi, so no bubbles, which was fine with us.) breakfast had a lot of options and you simply walk into the restaurant and help yourself to a table and food. There was a park across the street as well as restaurants close by. We enjoyed Brothers Brewery for drinks Tanngin for lunch and Naes for dinner- both were fabulous.

They have a decent breakfast here. Nice shower pressure (rain shower). We were on the 4th floor. No view. Decent enough place. You park across the street. Had two hot tubs in the basement but they were a bit too hot for us so we didn’t stay long.
