Hotel Vestmannaeyjar

It’s just ok. Good location, fair price but not without its issues. Staff were not particularly friendly or interested, and the room was not thoroughly clean with suspicious stains on the bed spread and hairs on the furniture. Breakfast was good; nice selection and buffet style. Just ok.

Excellent hotel on Heimaey Island. My family (kids 14 and 11) did a week long vacation in Iceland and spent one night at the Hotel Vestmannaeyjar. It was a great part of the trip and I would highly recommend it to really feel like you are off the typical tourist path. We took a 4pm ferry to the island and the hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the dock area. Everything on the island is walkable and it is a really nice town. The hotel was very modern and clean with very big rooms.

We had an excellent one night stay at this property. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was nice to soak into after a long day. The breakfast buffet was very delicious with many options.

A fantastic 2-night stay for my wife and I. Very clean rooms with a satisfying shower. Fantastic views of the weather is good too. A tremendous value when factoring in their included delicious breakfast buffet. Highly recommended

Fabulous hotel. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Convenient to everything on Haimaey. Wish we were staying longer. Breakfast was better than other places we've stayed.

Good apartment in quiet location. Sea view but not very scenic. The living room has a sofabed but there are no blinds to stop light in the summer. Kitchen is well equipped. All clean and tidy.

I was there for a three-day conference. I was able to walk to the hotel from the harbor after coming over on a ferry. I don’t know if the hotel has pick-up service. This was my third time on the island so I knew my way around. ||My cousin was supposed to join me but ended up cancelling so I kept the room reservation for two people instead of getting a smaller studio room. They let me check in early (around noon) which was nice. My room key card didn’t work after the first time so they gave me actual heavy metal keys. Even those were tricky. Probably time for a new door lock. My bed was comfy. Nice toiletries, mini bar, fridge, etc. My room got very hot so I left a window open most of the time (on the third floor so I felt safe). Their restaurant is the best in town with a great free breakfast. They also have two jet-less jacuzzis and a sauna in the basement. I was the only guest there when I used the area. ||They kind of gave me a hassle about checking out an hour later than usual which I requested because of a meeting. But I wanted to change clothes before lunch then leaving on a ferry. ||I would probably stay here again. Especially if I could get a room with a bathtub even though their shower had a great rain head.

Excellent hotel and kind, wonderful staff. The location is perfect, close to restaurants and stores. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. The room was very comfortable and very clean. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Westmann Island.
