Hotel & Ristorante Vezia

Room was basic but comfortable. We booked a family room with a garage as really wanted the secure parking for our car. However, currently the garages are not available for use and there was/still no mention of this on their website or at point of our booking. If this is important to you I’d ring ahead to check. Pool was nice at the end of the day to dip into for the kids. We dined in the restaurant and had burgers which were big portion sizes but the kids were disappointed that there were no milkshakes.

This American motel-style hotel with its 1950s-style furnishings is the right compromise for those who don't want to experience the discomforts of the city center. A few minutes' drive from Lake Lugano, it offers comfortable rooms and adequate services. The very helpful staff is at the complete disposal of customers. Good international breakfast.

I stayed in the hotel for just one night. The only positive was the very open, friendly and warm welcome. The remainder was less positive. The room was old, floors were sticky and it was dark and in a basement. The walls were thin and I could hear through them easily. There were lots of weird men walking around, not sure if they were staying or just hanging around the hotel. The bathroom was very old and very simple with no shampoo and there were mosquitos. The wifi didnt work. Given the price, reviews and misleading pictures I was very disappointed with the hotel overall.

Every now and then we visit this hotel when we travel from south to the north or vice versa. Motels in the traditional US style are not very common in Switzerland. This is a traditional setup with the parking lot for the car in the basement and the room and toilet in the first flor. Unfortunately our car was too big for the garage but the room was not too small and the bath and shower were working. The staff is friendly and the breakfast was just fine.

Building is very original: it's a 1950s style motel.|Rooms are clean, co,fortable and very practical: privat garage is accessible directly from the room.|The hotel has a playing area for kids with ping-pong, table soccer and flipper and a nice pool with view of the mountains.|The staff is lovely: everybody speaks several languages and is very helpful.|Don't miss the breakfast: great coffe and buffet plenty of choice. You can eat like full meal|Really worth staying there.

from outside it does look like something, but its super practical and flexible. thin doors, let you share more. still the usa diner experience is worthwile and very good price
